Mercedes sales getting a boost

The golden Mercedes Benz crashing through the cat claw barrier at Woodlands Check Point is something to watch and envy. The security officers must be stunned and in awe to see that machine smashed through the security barrier meant exactly to bring cars up to 6 tonnes to a stop. And here was a less than 3 tonnes Mercedes Benz running through the barrier like walking on tahu and drove off unscathed. Can you believe it? And no puncture on the tyres! And the car disappeared into the horizon like magic.

What kind of car and how was it made to withstand the special steel spikes designed to cripple any cars and even bigger ones like a 6 tonner? At least the tyres would be in shreds. Kudos to the tyre makers. Steel tyre tubes or what? The Benz was better built than James Bond’s Aston Martin I think, or that BMW.

Mercedes Benz has earned itself the right to call its Benzes indestructible or at least unstoppable. Good German engineering. Sales must have taken a boost with this life test, not a controlled experiment in the lab.

  1. Mercedes Benz made in Germany mah!
    The security barrier?
    Made in China?
    Designed by our Foreign Talents?

  2. Good example of low cost engineering versus high cost engineering.

  4. I tell you, the video like cartoon lah.

First customs officer on the scene deploys his security baton -- made of toughened steel.

Then his mates all rush to the car, one fucker tries to open a door -- or hold the car back (hahahahaha) and then gesticulates "what the fuck?!?" , and the bloody gold Merc just drives off -- priceless comedy lah.

I tell you this Malaysian towkay owner-driver has a great sense of humour lah. Even arriving at court, the fucker had a smile on his face. A man after my own heart...make the authorities "gabrak"...but no real harm done. In fact, he did the state a favour -- he exposed weaknesses in the check point security. If I were Minister of Home Affairs (which I am most definitely NOT), give the man a National Day Award, and make him an honorary citizen of Singapore!

The guy is probably laughing and joking with his friends, and will be the toast of many 10-course dinners for sometime. Plus I think many people will ditch their pretentious Audis and Beemers and buy a Merc Towkaymobile -- fitted with super duper AMG engine and all sorts of fancy shit.

The courts should relax lah. This kind of cheekiness is fun entertainment. Just fine the guy 50k-100k -- no problem, he is rich and leave it at that.

  5. Someone better rethink the stupid idea of awarding the lowest bids when buying equipment. There is no such thing as cheaper, better and faster. Only Zoro believes in this.

  6. It is indeed a very very very sad immigration disappointment for Singapore.

How can a Mercedes Benz car crashed through the cat claw barrier at Woodlands Check Point in front of the helpless security officers.

THIS IS AN EXTREMELY VERY SERIOUS AND URGENT CASE!

  7. Cheaper, better, faster only applies to Sinkies.
A different standard is used for PAP Ministers and Foreign Talents.

  8. Come on, plse do not blame the equipments when it is the incompetencies of the folks who procured and use them that resulted in failures.
    Where are the brains?

  9. I think they will and can find a better cat claw barrier lah. Should not be a problem, tio bo?

But can they find better checkpoint security officers, u tell me lah?

Or more importantly for Sinkies, a better govt than PAP govt?

  10. If the driver was a terrorist or his car filled with drugs, he could have enough time to do what he needed befor being arrested 5 hours later.

    What is happening?

  11. Are those checkpoint security officers Auxiliary Police Officers? (APO)

Understand that for cost reasons, these were recruited off the streets of Matland.

Because Sinkies are too costly to do such jobs. And also not necessarily better, tio bo?

  12. The unbelieveable thing they did, they stood there without giving chase. Can you believe it?

  14. How can? Can. And can-do, very well.

This is a Merc 190E series. A street-legal tank lah. Especially those produced in the 1990s. You want to stop this car, you better have some serious ordnance...like an RPG :-)

  15. Helpless they may be but they are still the best security officers the ICA can recruit.

  16. In little India they ran away from rioter burning their vehicles and stood at a distance to watch.

In CIQ they stood there while a motorist bolted from security checks and did not give chase.

What is going on? Are they policemen or what?

  17. Those barriers are just like many pap ministers, only looks good and costs a lot but are actually totally useless. They will all take flight when a war occurs.

  18. They are called auxiliary policemen.

Auxiliary means to supplement, like taking vitamins to supplement your main diet.

But vitamins cannot replace or become your main diet. And must also be the right vitamins to serve the right purpose, or else it may become toxic to your body.

So auxiliary policeman cannot expected to be the real policeman lah and must also be the right one to supplement, or else it is toxic if they don't serve their purpose.
