A time to face reality, we are just a red dot

“There’s no need to change [the ship’s name],” he told The Jakarta Post.

“The Indonesian government has its own rules, procedures and assessment criteria for determining whether to honor a person as a hero. This cannot involve any intervention from other countries.”

The Today paper quoting Indonesian Coordinating Political, Legal and Security Affairs Minister, Djoko Suyanto on the naming of an Indonesia frigate about two terrorists for bombing MacDonald House in 1965.

Our ministers have registered the govt’s concerns and respectfully told the Indonesians of the feelings of the victims’s families and ‘to consider the implications and consequences of the move.’ What are these implications and consequences? Obviously the Indonesians are not bothered with them. So?

What would be Singapore’s next move, or would there be any next move, or would the case be closed?

In a situation like this when our govt finds it necessary to put forth our objections, the reactions of the other party and our follow up actions will show what we are made of. Are we just a little red dot to be brushed aside or are we able to punch above our weight? If we can’t punch above our weight, it is best not to blow up matters that would not be beneficial to our interests.

We are in a little sticky situation now, aren’t we?

  2. Indonesian choose to memorize the 007 who bomb us shows their dream of Nussantara is still flaming.

The day when Nussantara is become reality will be a day whereby Kuan Yew, Tengku, Razak, Raffles and Tememgong become a clown in history.

  4. Sinkies can start naming their rubbish bins with the indonesia president name. isnt name calling the best talent of the present ruling party?

  5. I also guess there is nothing we can do. On Indonesia's side I guess there is nothing they 'will' do.

2016 is still quite some time away, but we really, really need a bogeyman to frighten the silly sinkies to continue to vote Poo and Pee. This must be it, together with the propaganda now on about the days of student unrest and bus workers strike. It worked for more than four decades and they are hoping it will still work in 2016.

    Don't move too much.

As productivity experts will tell you, reduce movement will improve productivity.

  7. No wonder lah, I remember WP Teochew Ah Hia also said something like "...we do not find it productive to continue debating and arguing with the ruling party ..."

So now you know why WP never debate, never argue and never slap PAP as much as Sinkies wanted lah.

    Hahahahahaha

  9. Did I say History will be fair and neutral?

A martyr will be martyr and a traitor will end up a traitor.
No need for anyone to say so, let History shows.

  10. Just to divert attention and stir up patriotism among the Singaporeans.

Why object to their naming of their Naval vessels??

Aiyo! Chinese said bok kor take kor lah chieh!!!

Abe, the Japanese PM visited the Shrine. Why no protest from the Government???

Thousands of our old generations also suffered and killed under the JAPS.

    Why no objections???

Japanese tua kee??? NO!!! They do not want to quarrel with monies.

Just move on lah! No point picking up the past. Even tell the PRC and ROK this tale. PRC and ROK, MILLIONS SUFFERED AND Die under the Jap Occupation. Move on???

Now LHL ordered Electors Register by March. Everyday Social Media kpkb- by 2016, our credibility will become ZERO.

Better call for a Snap Election. Also before the StrongMan passes on.

  11. Just like we execute the drug mules while letting their masters free to arrange for more shipments, we execute the Indonesian marines who bombed but not the commanders giving the orders. Should we let the then Konfrontasi cloud our future relation when the war was over half a century ago. Those marines carried out orders and paid with their lives and I don't see anything wrong with the Indon government and people honouring their memory.

The Americans repaid the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour by obliterating Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The Japanese carried out Sook Ching, killing tens of thousands of civilians when Singapore was Syonan-to and we kept silent when the Japanese PM makes the annual pilgrimage to Yasukuni because the Japanese got bigger balls for us to carry than the Indons? Or the Old Fart cannot have the Japs reveal what he was running for them?

  12. Damn Lao kui man ! The Indonesians must be thinking : I don't re-name & see what this small arrogant fook can do. Frighten me with your F35 lah ! Money down the drain lah ! Buy F35 for fook ? Ho kuar nia !

  13. China is not a red rot. It is a heavyweight. In fact it is getting heavier everyday but the Japanese PM don't give a f-ck and visit the Yasukuni shrine now and then. You think Indons are going to give a f-ck when some Spore ministers make noise? Those 2 commandos killed 3 S'poreans. The Indon army has killed hundreds of thousands of THEIR VERY OWN countrymen and East Timorese. So they are not going to give a f-ck, not so much as a flying f-ck.

  14. The big man himself our Supreme Leader, so-called Founder of Modern Singapore Lee Kuang Yew whithout whom we would be living in a sleepy fishing village honoured the two commandos by placing flowers on their graves! So I don't see what is the big hoohah over the Indonesian government naming ships on those two jokers.

  20. A simple statement of concern would suffice as there is nothing we can do about it. The threats of implications and consequences would become hot air if nothing comes out of it, or if things really come out of it, tension will rise to harm peace and security between the two countries.

  21. Gentleman, you can serve your mother cuntree. Go to Batam/ Riau and bang those Indon bitches until their pussies are red like char siew, and their teeth are going to fall out.

Nothing quite like "angry revenge sex" to even the score.

  23. You bang them also must pay MONEY lah. You bang them too hard, they complain to their pimps, the pimps rearrange your face and balls position and take your wallet. You talk as if you've never been to a whorehouse lah. Just make you Indon maid do extra work or shout at her more. That's about the most you can do.

  24. Cannot protest too much. Now hot season, wait they burn more forests. We will choke to death. PSI 400, 500, 1000. Sinkies so fast forget.

    >> You talk as if you've never been to a whorehouse lah

Please lah, ask your mother. I was her favourite customer ;-)

Also you don't know Indon pimps lah. Just pay money. Everything OK. In Indonesian culture, problems can be solved by just offering money.

...but judging from the tenor of your post...you don't want to spend any money.

Stingy fucker lah. Spend some dough lah, and reclaim some of your mother cuntree's dignity and honour!

  26. Pimps that don't take care of their 'girls' are often pimps whose 'girls' are on their last tour of duty. Their pussies long ago red like pussies and their teeth long ago fall out only good for bj, especially for old men who takes a long time. These are the type Matilah likes.

  27. In 1811 Raffles and 12,000 English and Indian troops invaded Java. They massacred thousands of Javanese and Chinese, looted palaces, pillaged warehouses, etc. It won't be long before some Indons protest to us for honouring Raffles and putting him on a high pedestal.
