Why are people talking about xenophobia after the rioting in Little
India? It was a traffic accident caused by a drunk foreign worker.
Period. And who got beaten up, the local bus driver and the woman bus
assistant. And the follow up, police officers and medical personnel and
civil defence officers got beaten and pelted with stones by the foreign
workers. And ambulance and police cars were overturned.
And not a single local got involved in any brawl or attacking the
rioting foreigners who set several vehicles ablaze. And the police were
so restrained that not a single shot was fired, no water cannon, no
beating up of the foreigners even when their officers were beaten and
bleeding.
What the fuck is this xenophobia talk? It is foreigners rioting and
attacking the locals and police because of a traffic accident. Assholes
should stop talking through their asses. There is no xenophobia. If
there is, it is xenophobia by foreigners against the locals.
walking down memory lane ...

WAT WOULD THE OUTCOMES BE IF IT HAPbEN NOW???

ReplyDeleteTHESE ARE NOTHING, COMPARED WITH THE PRIME MINISTER or ex PM calling his cuntrymen
D A F T
and published in memoir for posterity
knnccb .... but he is absolutely right, i am a perfect example .
I know, I know. Singaporeans are xenophobic because only Indian foreign workers were arrested.
ReplyDeleteWell, first of all...we are not Singaporeans in the first place...or are we..
ReplyDeleteSee how Indian TV lie and preach hate against Chinese. I am a fan of India newspaper and I get very angry.
ReplyDelete- That the Indian national was pushed out of the bus by the driver.
- That Singaporeans and Chinese attacked the Indian national Tamils.
- That Indian national Tamils were hiding in their homes for fear of being harassed by the police or attacked by the local Chinese .
The Truth is
- The deceased had boarded the bus when it was already full. The deceased also appeared to be drunk and he was causing trouble on the bus, even dropping his trousers whilst on the bus .
- When the first ambulance and police car arrived soon after being activated, an agitated mob of about 100 had formed around the scene of the accident, and this escalated into the riot involving about 400 persons .
- After the deceased was assisted off the bus, he proceeded to walk/run alongside the bus in an unsteady manner while holding onto his pants. He stumbled and fell onto the path of the back wheel of the bus and was run over.
The riot was an isolated incident arising from the unlawful actions of an unruly mob reacting to a fatal traffic accident .
////////////////
People will not understand my anger each time I go to TOI, Times of India. This is not the first time India lie against Chinese. Few months back, India took China's land and accuse China invading India, in the Chumar and Depsang incidence.
The PM must issue a gag order on those silly buggers talking about xenophobia. KNNBCCB. They are attacking Sporeans and spoiling Sporeans image.
ReplyDeleteIswaran says Singapore has no place for xenophobia. Is Khaw's plan to cap HDB subletting to foreigners out of fear that they are forming enclaves considered xenophobia? Different PAP politicians say different things that suits their own agenda.
ReplyDelete/// Singaporean calling Singaporean xenophobic
ReplyDeleteSeriously, how the fuck did Singaporean come to this stage? ///
December 11, 2013 10:27 am
Is PAP a pro alien or a pro Singaporean government?
Hi, also suddenly some many liars, oh lawyers volunteers pro bona to take up these mobsters cases.
DeletePoor sinkie must beg to be given pro bona service to defend their innocence.
Sometimes wonder doing national service casting our blood a sweat to defend these traitors is really a foolish mistake.
They brught in more than a foreigners to take away jobs from Sporean PMEs. And all you read in the media is Sporeans being beaten up and cheated and discriminated by these foreigners.
ReplyDeleteDid anyone hear of Sporeans beating up or rioting against foreigners? What the fuck is happening? Maybe it is time that Sporeans stand up to defend their sick image.
What the hell! From the way the ministers and msm are playing up about xenophobia in social media, it won't be too long before the events of 8 Dec are laid on us. Sheeesh.

Yes. Slavery is rife in Singapore. These lowly paid workers living in pig-sty conditions are no different from slaves who are given the same living conditions. It has been reported that some of the workers are even denied their meager salaries by their employers, while others have to wait for resolutions of disputes with their employers while not have the means to food or housing.
Something is amiss. These workers have been neglected and treated like animals in this so-called first world country. Some of them are paid as low as $400 per month. If they are not slaves, then what are they? Our leaders are squarely to be blamed. They do not have a head problem but certainly a heart problem. Singaporeans must judge them by the moral values they they hold or otherwise and not only by their economic success founded on exploitation of labor, promotion of immoral gambling activities, denial of basic human rights, etc.
Imagine if Nelson Mandela is PM here, I have no doubt that he would not allow such appalling working conditions to exist here. It is sad that we have a govt whose obsession with money and economic success preponderates over everything else. Time to examine our moral compass and to vote for an alternative govt.

ReplyDeleteWhen a mob rape the woman, the woman becomes the culprit and the rapist mob the victims? Is the woman capable of inflicting injuries to the raping mob?
Police cars were overturned, burnt to literally ashes! Likewise ambulance! Many other enforcement vehicles damaged! Scores of policemen and women and SCDF personnel injured. All showing total discipline and taking instructions without much retaliation or using force on the rioters though supposedly all are well equipped and heavily armed.
No lives in danger!? Our garment is being kind and diplomatic. Look at the way the paramedics had to flee from their ambulance from the encroaching mob burning a neighbouring police patrol car?Every ticking second huddled in the ambulance must be like eternity for the paramedics while awaiting for clearance to react or act ..... ! No? All these officers are also just carrying out their duties and making a living. Surely, they are not paid millions. Some might even be doing their NS or reservist duties. Sacrificing time to do NS to protect the FWs in the midst and still get mobbed by them?
Xenophobia?
Whoever mouthed that might want to consider offer their wives and daughters to the mob too? Might want to cook curry for the mob every weekend? Might want to open up their homes and invite them for free lunch, dinner, booze, rampage and what have you in their homes instead of these FWs congregating in Serangoon areas?
Is this then not xenophobia and open arms integration?
Whoever mouthed that why not walk the talk first? Who want to Kee Chiu first? Oh yes! Kee Chiu, the ex-general. Surely with his latest Salvo "fired" at Sinkies, he surely have a way to deal with foreign elements. No? Are sinkieland generals trained to fight foreigners or sinkies? Kee Chiu, with your illustrious pedigree and credentials, you want to kee chiu for this task?
Many sinkies surely will cheer you on! Why want "take on and fight sinkies everywhere"? Tax payers paid you to become a 2 stars general to protect them from foreigners. No? What is it in the SAF pledge?
Any new recruit can remember?
Part 2
ReplyDeletePlease, one don't call the woman a rapist when she is the victim and being raped!
One don't call Singaporeans xenophobic when foreign workers go on rampage and run riot, overturned and burnt police patrol cars in total lawlessness manners and inflicted huge damages tangibly and intangibly in this land and right in the heart of the city centre.
IMH is going to have many would be patients! If such people not siao for calling Singaporeans xenophobic, then what is? Next time their wives or daughters get raped, still offer their own backsides also?
Appeasement is as good as committing suicide, No?
When Michael Fay sprayed paint and vandalised a few cars in the 1990s, did Lao Goh appease Uncle Sam and former President Bill Clinton, all the US congress law-makers, their press etc?
Now arguably 1,000 times worst crimes took place! Police patrol cars, the symbol of law and authority in this land got overturned and burnt in the eyes of arguably the entire world. Even primary and kindergarten students twit about it non-stop? Means children as young as a few years old know about it.
How is this thing going to end?
Remember the 4 core political problems of any society? Two of which are as follows:
(a) The organisation of effective instruments of power;
(b) The establishment of legitimacy of the authority.
When the symbol ( police patrol cars )of authority, law and power are overturned and burnt in this land in the open view of practically the entire world, not dealing it in a manner to commensurate with the gravity and severity of the crimes and implications might just open up a "Pandora Box".
Remember Qin Dynasty?
Remember “大泽乡”?
In Chinese history, it was noted as the trigger to defy the authority of the Qin ancient government and led to its demise a few years later.
Sinkies must be nuts to be labelled xenophobic in this instance and still need to appease those who brazenly overturned and burnt the very symbol ( police patrol cars )of authority, law and power in this land.
Whoever said Sinkies are xenophobic in this instance must be mad!
We Sinkies should treat all customers well. Including all foreigners using our bus/taxi services, buying at supermarkets
ReplyDeleteand anywhere. Without the foreigners patronising our goods and services, we will go kaput very soon. So,let us serve our foreigner settlers and workers well and better.
No Sinkies should rock the boat and causes it to sink. Ours is a very new boat. Kaput too early will be sayang sangat(a very sad affair).

There is this Indian citizen also given a SG pr, Khanna who was criticized by Singaporeans for his 8m population pro-pap conception, spoke on the riot.
ReplyDeleteHe is basically speculating on the reasons of the riots. addd'salt and vinegar
He did condemn those acts of violence in the article.
he said riots are normal singapore is not !!
He is talking like a union chief now !!
NO , he did not condemn the violence acts of burning ambulance and attacking the other rescue vehicles.
ReplyDeleteComing from an institution of higher, his comments are high irresponsible.
Hey, guys, here is the latest call,
ReplyDeleteSINGAPORE
THE SICK MAN OF SOUTH EAST ASIA.
东南亚病夫!!!
@1229 he was born in india became us citizen now sg pr
ReplyDeleteLet's approach this problem in a different way.
ReplyDeleteWhat are the POLITICALLY ACCEPTABLE causes of the riot?
1. Bad government policies?
Not acceptable.
2. Poor government leadership and execution of policies?
Not acceptable.
3. Xenophobic Singaporeans?
Acceptable. But how to blame the Sinkies when they were not involved? Hmmm. Maybe can ask Baey to tell the Sinkies to reflect on their shortcomings again. Sinkies are daft and Baey will likely get re-elected again. If not, can always get him another GLC job elsewhere.
4. Drunken FT behaviour.
Acceptable. Also, they are not going to hire a lawyer to defend their reputation right? But note. The Indian ambassador might protest.
5. So that leaves the Singaporean driver and the Singaporean time keeper no? Hmmmmm.
Khanna in 2013 was an adjunct professor at this School of Public Policy.
ReplyDeleteHow can he try to normalize riots ?
The university should stop him from spewing such remarks that are most unhelpful.
Why a foreigner wants to kaybo in the riots issue? wage issue, welfare of workers etc of those rioters are not of his concern unless he wants to champion their cause
ReplyDeletebut he is not even a Indian Citizen also.
Maybe the Law ministry should take issue with this publisher and commenter in article 'Riots are normal, Spore is not'
ReplyDeleteSingapore government only sues local citizens. They kow tow to the foreigners who criticized us.
DeleteThank them for doing a service on their behalf.
Must not antagonise the mighty foreigners or else business investments will withdraw and we will chiak Sai.
Supposed to be one of the richest country in Asia if not the world and should be in business to employ the foreigners with Singaporeans in charge and not the other way round.
Prefer to throw all the good monies into the drains baling out the bankrupt companies overseas rather on investing on the Singaporeans to be a force to be reckoned with
The last thing Singapore needs is a riot. The state media is trying to do damage control but don't inadvertently giving tacit approval to riots and lawlessness.
ReplyDeleteXenophobia is a tool used by the elites to divide and rule. Frequently used as a propaganda tool to buy votes. It has never about race or religion, it has always been about the greed of the masters and the opporession of the slaves. Those indians who worked under those difficult conditions with so little pay compare to those at the top doing so little but ridiculous pay, who is the worse kind of human?
ReplyDeleteA lot of people were conned by their own kind to fight for independence. I bet those poor class indians/ south americans / africans / se asians will be better off if they did not fought their colony masters many years ago. Not all kinds of people are fitted to rule. Some less and some more. Local masters may not be any better than colony masters but they are definitely more greedy.
ReplyDeleteThere is no xenophobia at all.
ReplyDeleteIt is the explorations we and them received, the root course of this recent problem.
Well since he open his big mouth, lets see how this monkey settle the Wall Street thngy.
ReplyDeletePeople of Singapore, don't you find it strange that what ever happens, sinkies get the blame for it, falling roof, because sinkies wanted ft's to be controlled, so no mampower etc, nothing to do with the fucking quality....now, this riot, started by monkeys, and again, we get the blame....xenophobia shit looms over our heads, nothing tondo with the levy, the bitching bosses, the poor condition that they stay in.
They say alcohol was the thing that started it....if you put your nose into any alley near a kopi tiam, YOU CAN SMELL IT, of course, you can......and we keep paying all these people millions of dollars.
If we pay Red Bean a million dollars, i'm sure he can do better than them, even paying Matilah, is better, you can get the dames and boost to come with.
