The owl came and it said ‘hoot, hoot’. Initially many people were
wondering, guessing, what was the owl trying to say? What was the
message this bird was bringing? What was the meaning of ‘hoot, hoot’.
Now the message is clear.
Thank you, wise owl. ‘Hoot ah!’ The owl of the moment, the hour came and
gone, living behind a mess, in Little India. Is this an isolated
incident just like the arrival of the owl. It could be. But if the hour
of mayhem returns, it is not going to be an isolated incident anymore.
If the owl returns a second time, the message is likely to be much more
severe. The riot could be of much greater scale after they have a trial
run of what they could do and could do more to hurt. I can’t imagine
what it would be like but it would be like riots elsewhere. And if it
does happened a second time, this govt must take full responsibility and
there can be no excuses except a mass resignation.
We have peace, stability, security and progress for nearly 50 years. We
have in our midst a horde of foreigners to the tune of more than a
million, one third of our population. And when they are together, you
think it is possible to control them? All it needs is a few trouble
makers and our homes will be burning and there will be bodies on the
streets. This is no pray pray rubbish. This can be real. Alarmist? How
many would believe a riot like last Sunday could happen in this peaceful
and prosperous city of graceful, polite and govt fearing citizens? An
isolated incident?
You know how to write complacency? When the next hour of mayhem comes
knocking at your door…. All it needs is a mischievous media to report
some malicious news and you would not even know what hits you. That
report by Sun TV could result in more deaths with Chinese being attacked
on sight.
When nothing happens, you will call this alarmist. When something real
bad happens, you will call this foresight, proactive and wisdom.

ReplyDeleteInsist of growing the economy through growing the population, did other countries, used these methods?
ReplyDeleteSingapore advantage is it has one of the busiest port in the world, other countries which became advanced, grow their economic through the technological breakthrough, but funny why Singapore leaders insist of growing the population, maybe the real reasons, want them to vote for them again and get their fat pay again?
Through losing the Punggol East by election, faster take the white paper, claim various excuses Singapore need 6.9 millions populations?
Their popularity kept dropping is likely one of the major factor is locking people CPF, likely only 10 percents of the population overuse the CPF when they take out?
They should devise ways let people take out their CPF at 55 as many had taken out people, which they control people going into the casinos?
What else can they think of other than increase population?
ReplyDelete"The riot could be of much greater scale after they have a trial run of what they could do and could do more to hurt."
ReplyDeleteNot really lah.
If you noticed carefully, those rioters rioted only when they greatly outnumbered the police.
But when they saw the SOC troops came and ready for business, these rioters scattered and run away like rats! This type of riots where got standard, as compared to those in their homeland or other countries?
So like that ah, how can the riots become greater scale, you tell me lah?
Insisting in growing the economy through growing the population, did other countries, used these methods?

These CPF is people hard earned money, it is people blood, sweat and tear money, should find ways to give back people as promised at 55? Just because around 10 percents or some of them overspend their CPF, they should not locked the rest of others CPF for life?
They should devise ways let people take out their CPF at 55 as many had taken out people, like which they devised ways control certain people going into the casinos?
It could restore their credibility, if not many will worried what actions will they take if they dismanage the economy and other funds, will more indirect taxes?
Tiok, no standard lah.
ReplyDeleteSo no worry, a lot of anti-Sinkie, anti-PAP things also no standard one.
The standard thing is to make lots of money.

ReplyDeleteThis is like in ancient Chinese warfare when before a military expedition, a strong gust of wind came and broke the flag personifying the power and might of that army. In ancient Chinese superstitious astrological interpretation, it is known as 出师不利.
This is considered a very bad omen ( 凶兆 ).
That the riot started so coincidentally on Sunday night somehow would likely send chills down the spine for those superstitious in ancient Chinese astrological belief.
The owl is telling us about...
ReplyDeleteTHE COMING COLLAPSE OF SINGAPORE.
Citizen and government are at loggerhead.
Fellows brothers hitting out at each other.
Sons and daughters denied chance of employment and education.
Foreigner and FT dictating their terms.
Singapore cannot get along with most of its neighbors.
You have no room to move, no big brother to look after you.
You are on your own now. Take care! Fellow citizens. Make haste while the sun shine.

The second time kena can be fatal.

/// 4. Barn Owl
The American Indian Newuk tribe believed that when a wicked person died, he would become a Barn Owl. (If he were virtuous & good, he would become a Great Horned Owl). ///

ReplyDeleteThe riot started at about 9pm+ and went on late into the 7th day of the lunar month, a few days after the lunar winter season. The owl is telling us to get ready for a long and cold winter ahead. Get ready to hunker down and brave the bitter cold ahead.
Now all FTs are watching the development of the court case. If it is just a slap on the wrist than there will be more riot to come. If the stern action is taken, the foreign government will threaten to stop exporting it people to Singapore. Local is also watching.
ReplyDeleteRB: You know how to write complacency? When the next hour of mayhem comes knocking at your door….
ReplyDeleteThere are possibly many other potential hotspots besides Serangoon areas.
With coming many festive peak seasons, big crowds, last minute rush and crush, year end open air parties, potential pent up tensional stress in FWs coupled with their original innate characteristics accustomed back in the place where they came from and some being ripped off by unscrupulous labour agents back home, a small "spark might lit up an entire forest presumably filled with summer-dried leaves, branches, withered roots and trunks". Potentially, "it can be worst than the big forest fires" in Australia in recent months. Such "ingredients" may be "perfect mix" causing a "perfect storm".
Hopefully, the relevant authorities are competent, resolute and far sighted enough to immediately mobilise traditional and non-traditional manpower sources to beef up their numbers because with simultaneous potential trouble spots over many places and confluence of many festive celebrations, last minute shopping and year end parties squeezed over such short spaces of coming days and weeks, it may not be far fetched to wonder whether current manpower strength is sufficient to cope with a "worst case scenario".
Hopefully, the authorities take heed and do not go on "expensive and wasteful" cooking lessons in far away exotic countries.
One moment of oversight sometimes can lead to an entire life time regret.
Going by the mood at large in other parts of Sinkieland, year end celebratory mood is already in huge momentum and gathering fast pace and intensity. It is such a "wet blanket" that the riot came at such an "owl" ......

Your facts quite salah lah!
Chinese winter season ( 立冬) started this year ( 2013 ) on 7th November @ 1415 hrs ( source: Chinese Almanac Calendar ).
On 8th Dec 2013, it is already more than a month into the winter season, NOT A FEW DAYS.
Your this type of story telling may be good to "bluff" xiao mei mei ...... ha ha ha
Here a lot of “lau jiao” uncles and ladies.
Many Chinese educated some more and adept and steeped in Chinese tradition and astrology.
“关公面前耍大刀”?

Also hor, according to Chinese Almanac, coming year is full of "fire, very hot". Where got long, cold, bitter winter?
More like a lot of "explosive fire powder in the air" in coming year, according to Chinese astrology interpretation.
So pls "drink more cooling herbal tea" in coming Wooden Horse year, ladies and gentlemen.

ReplyDelete"Hoot" in Hokkien means "Hoot"- Paah!!!!
Learn from the lao jiao of the 60s and 70s.
In the 60s/70s PRU as they are called then- Police Reserve Unit under DSP Pestana and others strike fears in those days mobsters/gangsters.
At Mount Vernon Camp, see daily Anti-riot drills on parade square.
All of them drenched in minyak. When they are out of the Camps- Mt Vernon and Queenstown- full tattooed gangs of tigers and dragons men hide in fear.
Now so nice name Special Operations Command- control riots just like walking to markets as our Inch'e used to shout at us.
These third world mosbsters think scared of you.
From now on, Big Nose visited HQ of the SOC and you can now hear the grunts, shouting and the minyak flowing out of men of the SOC in their daily drills.
They are too complacent thinking that these riots are things of the past.
The Luo Kuang of ChinaTown past and the Lions Troupes can do a better job than them.
Most of their current display of shadow exercises only for the uninitiated and children.
The owl is really chilling.
ReplyDeleteFirst, it goes to the PAP boss. The TIME is the PAP convention.
Second, it goes to Istana. The PLACE is very near, less than 1 km away is Little India.
Second, the news was liked by a super big CROWD.
Everything comes true.
The owl did not go there for tea or kopi. It was serious business.
ReplyDeleteRetarded Pinky happily remarked his facebook post about a barn owl which flew into the Istana garnered 500,000 views within a day. At first I wonder how is it possible given that he is world's highest paid clown. Now we know that it very likely that majority of these views are not human but from supernatural being meant to punish PAP by giving him LIKE.
ReplyDeletePersonally, me an atheist, feels very deeply that the Rulers have chucked away their conscience and are behaving not much different from beasts(畜生). Compassion had escaped from them as they got overwhelmed by greeds.
ReplyDeleteWhat had happened at Little India was an apettizer or tidal wave. The Next will be the Main Course or Tsunami to be followed by a dessert(mellow down or lowering of intensity) oof events. There seems a real need to prepare and brace for a coming man make calamity or disaster.
patriot
All rulers in this world are evil. All gov screw their people. They have cakes and give the people crumbs and when the people kpkb, protest, riots, they will arrest them, charge them and put in some punishments that they think is fair. Justice is meant for those powerful and rich people and never meant for the poor, weak, oppressed. Still believe in the legal system? We live in a world full of bullshits.
ReplyDelete"he is world's highest paid clown"
ReplyDelete- compare to other ceremonial monarchs, he is dirt cheap. He should rebrand himself as Monarch Lee and we will see that he is lowly paid. It is a matter of branding.
