Let’s continue to deceive the stupid Singaporeans

‘Banks lead push for local talent pool.’ This is the title of an article in the ST on how ‘serious’ the banks are in pushing for the development of a local pool of banking and finance talents. The point that they are still using the term local instead of Singaporean is a give away warning sign. And when you read the statistics, the Singaporeans and PRs are all lumped together as local talents. Fuck it, PRs are not Singaporeans, and even new citizens are Singaporeans only for a few months or a few years.

Let’s be serious and say the RIGHT thing about Singaporeans and not PRs as locals. Among the local banks that are serious in employing Singaporeans are UOB and OCBC. Period.

Citibank and Stanchart are well known for hiring more foreigners than the other banks. And they claimed to employ 80% and 90% locals respectively. Would they give a breakdown on the number of Singaporeans among the locals, and the percentage of Singaporeans in top management? I am not sure of the Number One local bank, DBS, as no numbers were given. DBS must set a good example as the employer of Singaporeans and not locals which means primarily PRs. I hope DBS will show some nice numbers about how many Singaporeans are in top management. 12 out of 19 in management committee are locals or 63%? How many are Singaporeans?

The more the banks refuse to tell the proportion of Singaporeans and kept hiding behind locals, the more wary Singaporeans should be. Singapore must be for Singaporeans first. It must be that way. Fair employment practice must still emphasise Singaporeans first as being fair. No silly govt in the world would adopt fair employment opportunities for citizens and non citizens. It cannot be fair employment opportunities when citizens are concerned, in our own country.

So what can smart Singaporeans effectively do, if it is not?

Is Hong Lim Park protest effective?

    Is voting opposition effective?

    Is blogging and commenting effective?

    Redbean, very well said!

    Super!

“我顶你!”( Translation: I support what you said in the quoted above-mentioned. )

“咖啡, 咖啡”( “Kopi, Kopi”, “Coffee, Coffee” ) for your fighting spirit for Singaporeans ( aka > Singapore citizens for more than 5 years )

Singapore must be a “Singaporean Singapore”!

    Majulah Singapura! 前进吧,新加坡!

Err no. Business has every right to hire and fire whom they need or want. Ultimately their bottom line will inform them of the correctness or their choices. Bottom line go up -- good choice. Bottom line go down -- bad choice.

It has nothing to do with this race or that race, or foreigner vs local. ALL HUMAN BEINGS ARE BIOLOGICALLY THE SAME -- if an individual from a certain "race" can be trained to do a job, so can individuals from other "races". It ultimately depends on which individual is going to deliver the most bang for the bosses buck. Not your business? Then mind your own. ;-)

    >> DBS must set a good example as the employer of Singaporeans and not locals which means primarily PRs.

    Two hairy Balls lah.

DBS has shown nice growth. Dividend doubled since a few years ago. Again, bottom line counts. Anything else -- tak pakai. Obviously what they are doing is right. Right?

    >> No silly govt in the world would adopt fair employment opportunities for citizens and non citizens.

That's why they are silly, and their capitalists are leaving to set up elsewhere (like Singapore) where MERITOCRACY is the order of the day, not "favouritism" and "nationalistic biased" outmoded labour laws.

Globalised economomy lah, or haven't you noticed? Borders and nationality are not as important as they once were.

Wake up and smell the kopi -- imported from Indonesia, served by Pinoys and PRCs at you locally owned kopitiam.

  8. Singaporeans who are smart should be effective in making money. How?

    Be a Minister.

    If not, be a CEO.

If not, be a high pay employee.

If not, be your own boss that can make money. Just be own boss no use if cannot make money.

And if not, be lucky and born rich.

I think 43% have already achieved the above.

If not, they won't be voting PAP in a by election.

43% is not bad. And in Matland, just need a few % more at 47% can even win majority 60% seats to form govt without opposition already.

And PAP should be able to do much better than 47%, given that the strongest opposition in Sinkieland is not even ready to be govt.

  10. We provide a package. Business will be here if the package offers them a good dea. Every country will work out a package that suits their own national needs.

Business can hire and fire, can come and go. They will have to look at our package and decide if this is suitable to their needs.

Fair competition is not to become prostitute at any price.

  11. Singaporeans first?

Yes, if they are as good or better than the foreigners.

If not, for sure there will be more foreigners than Singaporeans.

  12. RB, anyone in MS's position will want a borderless state to let him come and go. He expects every state to be a prostitute for him to have his screw.

But no state will open their doors like Sin city for him. And Matilah is fighting for his right, with his biased logic and reasoning, and he has no qualms whether it is good for the Sinkies or not.

Can Sinkie who lose out vote PAP out? No.

Then just too bad for the Sinkie lah. Case closed.

Q: What is the most useless thing to do in Singapore?

a.Putting a naked male homosexual on top of a naked woman to make babies?

    OR

b.Voting in a PAP government to deliver a better life for all Singaporeans?

Thank you attempting to figure out what my "position" is, and except for one point you are way off the mark.

    >> He expects every state to be a prostitute for him to have his screw.

Actually I expect nothing from any one or any state. The only expectations I look forward to are the ones undertaken with parties bound by contract. That's all.

    >> But no state will open their doors like Sin city for him.

Ha ha. Just worry about your shitty insignificant life lah. Or get the right visas, and you'll find many states spreading their legs for you. They want your money. It's that simple.

    >> And Matilah is fighting for his right, with his biased logic and reasoning,

I have no idea what you mean by "fighting for his right" . This is a blog lah. Not real life. If there is fighting to be done, there must be real benefit -- like a "pay off". No one "fights for rights" on a blog. Get a fucking life. Go outdoors, feel the sun on your skin ;-)

    >>he has no qualms whether it is good for the Sinkies or not.

FINALLY. You get one thing RIGHT. 100%. Of course it depends on "what type of Singaporean" are you referring to?

English "Educated" Christian ==> usually an asshole

Freethinkers and hardcore atheists ==> usually cool (doesn't matter about their education or ethnic or social background).

  18. I support RB's call to continue to deceive the stupid Singaporean. Every one seems to be doing it. From the Govt to small business. From our Minister to business men. Every one is deceiving stupid Singaporean. If one is stupid one deserves to be cheated of his hard earned money, CPF etc.
You see the grassroot leaders of the West Coast GRC appearing on TV showing they care outside the apartment of the woman who threw down her sick son . Well that is the greatest deception for the day!

  21. "We must not have illusion with white man. Indian is Aryan, white man will help Aryan"

    - at least they will help their own kind. will the yellow people help their own kind? i doubt so. the PRC chinese think they are very different from the overseas chinese. chinese are well known to be like sand, they never get together to help each other, more likely, they will eat one another up.

    - the white men choose the indian cos they speak english and not because they are aryans. there are more chinese in european countries that do not use english than indians.

    - they are only two kinds in this world - do the job cheap and do the job not cheap. very obvious, which one the employers will prefer.

  22. No one likes restriction. Just like on one likes the MAD new regulation. Having a 'Singapore must be for Singaporeans first' for corporations will not work if even the governments and governments related corporations do not buy it. A lot of the government (and related) contracts are outsourced to companies that do not employed any singaporeans.

It is not because of race. It is because of the idea of capitalism (british and indians) and communism (chinese). Race (and religion) is just a political excuse for getting someone, some regime into power. It is never the basis. The basis has always been money. The love of money has always been the root of most evils but it is very difficult to unlove this love especially if you know what is extreme hunger, cold, hopelessness.

Seriously, once you get over the Asian man's "allure" for white flesh (like the whiteman's "allure" for Asian chicks, aka "yellow fever"), trust me, women are women -- race doesn't even factor. Love the pussy, can't stand the temper. ;-)
