Dow was up 207 points while most European bourses rallied. And
the whole of last week all the bourses, including Asian bourses were sold down
to recent lows amidst fear of an economic Armageddon. Fed is cutting down on
buying bonds and a financial crisis is over the horizon, all the funds are
selling and getting out of equities.
In Singapore,
all the gains in the last 6 months were wiped out in less than two weeks. What
the hell is going on? Everything is like doomsday! Fear is everywhere.
And Dow rallied, Europe rallied
yesterday as if everything is fine, the sun is shining again. The fundamentals
were wrong for a week and right overnight with nothing changes. Asian bourses
would follow and rally on Monday.
Who do you think is benefiting from the swing? Who is wiser
or smarter?
Random walk lah. No reason for panic -- but don't worry, the herd will always find some reason to panic :-)
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear some thing positive from RB. That call for extra kopiO kow with extra sugar. That will certainly make him sweeter the coming week!
ReplyDeleteI was trying single handedly to prop up DBS shares just to see it plummet to $15.88. Catch a falling knife, as my guru Charlie Lau often say.
Who else but those super elites behind all the big time politicians. They are the directors while Obama is only an actor.
ReplyDeleteNot to worry. The pushing up and down will eventually transfer all the wealth to the top 1% of the richest people in the world.
ReplyDeleteLet the market players carry on with their game of propping and dumping.
Don't depend too much on the stock market to get rich lah. If you are daft, you may even become very poor if you play the stock market.
ReplyDeleteGet a high paying job first. Or failing which, do some good business to earn good money. Then use the money you can afford to lose to win more money in the stock market or flip properties lah. You will have a chance to make even more money. Even if you lose, you can also afford to lose.
Thanks oldhorse and everyone for your kopi kau kau. Hope you like the photos of Hong Lim Park in my latest posts. It was a bright sunny day, and hot. My legs were tired after standing for two hours and left early before the event came to a close.
