Obituary – Today we mourn the passing of Feed Me To The Fish

A day has passed and no more news from Fish. His blog is filled with condolence messages to Mrs Fish and the family. It is sad that our social media has lost a booming voice in defense of the common Singaporeans. His last stand was in Hong Lim Park on Feb 16. He was not a lone. His family was with him, and the 4000 Singaporeans that turned up to keep him company. It was an opportunity I missed to meet this honourable man.

Fish will be remembered by all the keyboard warriors in cyberspace and all those who read his blog and are touched by his humble sincerity to fight for the average Singaporeans. I can still remember him singing with gusto from his troubled heart,

‘Do you hear the people sing?

Singing the song of angry men

This is the music of a people

Who would not be slaves again!

When the beating of the heart

Echoes the beating of the drums

There is a life about to start when tomorrow comes’

Fish was very happy that night after the Worker’s Party reclaimed Hougang in a by election. He was joyous as he shared the moment with the people on the streets of Hougang and his video with all in cyberspace.

Bless you Fish. RIP.

    1. We have lost a true Singapore son. We have lost a brave soul amongst us. We have lost an influential voice in cyberworld. He has left a legacy for all future Singaporeans to emulate and aspire. Our hero indeed!

  12. His family has requested anonymity as they mourn his passing, otherwise the turnout at this honorable man's wake could outnumber the turnout at HLP 16-2-2013. RIP Mr Fish. Your incisive writing will remain in our hearts

  15. Gallantly he fought, against the odds.
Not against enemy, it was for dignity.
Not for himself, it was for others as well.
He did it and we witnessed the good deed.

Now, he rest in eternal peace.

  16. Goodbye to a brave soul. A person with a sense of humour sometimes, when he talks about his impaired heart. Never knew he would be gone so suddenly. He really spoke for what many people had in their minds but do not know how to put into words. Always can be trusted to put forward his thoughts when important issues are touched.

Rest in peace Mr. Fish. Your battle against injustice is now over, but not the spirit of your convictions.

  17. He will be remembered as a very brave & upright man when compared to the old hero. Hope he will invite the old hero to join him sooner!

  22. Very sad to hear this news, you are the second blogger to announce his demise. Rachel Zeng was the first.

I was hoping that its not true that he will still be around to cheer and enlighten us, singaporeans on for the 2016 GE.

His presence will surely be missed.

RIP and God bless Mr Fish and his family !

  23. If I am not wrong, Fish only had secondary education but he can write so well, his posts are always very interesting, straight forward, easy to understand, sometimes witty with sense of humour but more importantly, he speaks for people (like me) who have a lot to say but do not know how to put it down in writing. I really enjoy reading his articles. I hope his passing is just rumour.... And if this bad news is true, condolences to Fish's family and RIP, Fish, I am sure you have gone to a much better place, you will be missed.
