What the train is saying?

‘Stop, stop, help, help, I can’t go on anymore.’

No you can, our population is only 5m, and we will have a few more millions coming in.

‘No, no, really, can’t take anymore. I am not designed to take so many commuters.’

No you can. The trains in Tokyo can, so why can’t you? You are only half filled, running on half capacity.

‘Stop it, I say. All my parts are starting to fall off, can’t you see? I will run to a halt if you don’t stop adding more commuters to my load.’

Don’t worry lah, a few more wouldn’t kill you lah. Those car owners who have to give up their cars will come on board soon when they cannot afford the new COEs. Take a deep breath and carry on.

“Aaaaahhhhh…….’

‘Your attention please, this train will be delayed due to a mechanical fault. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.’

  3. More failures ahead if what we peasants have known for a long time that certain things degrade faster now after a certain number of years. Computer chips, rubber and plastics, metals have very short lifespans. After more than two decades of wear and tear, we are lucky that no serious accidents, like derailments have yet occured, but it will happen soon if they do not overhaul the system quickly.

And the funny part is that even the circle line, spankingly new, is suffering from the rapid aging disease, probably due to sub-standard parts used.

Nowadays some things degrade so fast, you never would believe that this is called progress when what you see is not what it appears to be on the surface.

  4. MRT train problems are now getting to be almost a daily occurence. What a joke! Karma. It's Karma.

Poor Mahathir is now recovering from surgery, otherwise he will be having the last laugh. Paradise? Tell that to the angry commuters late for work every time a train failure occurs.

  5. Reading the comments, just can't help wondering if many of the fires mishaps were not caused by biodegradable gas hose.
The biodegradable gas hose causes a lot of worry.
