For goodness sake!

LKY just announced that he is standing for the next GE. Unbelieveable, but what to do? It is either both he and Chok Tong retire or both should stand. They have become inseparable twins. That is the political situation today. For if both were to retire, the supremacy of the PAP will be greatly compromised. The opposition will score when there is no goalkeeper between the poles. He is still needed to keep the party together I supposed.

  1. This just adds to the speculation or further fuel the talk that the baby premier still has not fully wean from diapers and milk all these years despite leading the country with so many PMO ministers helping out.
A sad day for this country.

  2. I don't think he should stand at his age.

He'd better sit down, or lie down ;-)

  4. The old man is waiting for woody, the thorn and jester, to go. If woody stays, he has to stay. Cannot be helped. His baby still cannot walk by himself and dissenting elements are still present inside the PAP. Lim Boon Heng's staged show revealed just as much.

Anyway, the purging is almost complete, except for woody. Woody just would not go, despite the cues by WKS and LHL recently, and the fiasco in Hougang and Potong Pasir. They set him up, but being wooden, he does not read the message.

Now that new connected loyalist are set to step in after this election, perhaps by the next election, the old man may then step down. Loyal guardians of the throne would by then overwhelm the dissenters.

    Long live the leegime!

  7. Now would the voters be kind or unkind if they vote for LKY? My view is that it will be kinder to give him a good deserving rest.

  8. What would be funny is if his diaper gave way during the campaign trail or delivering a speech.

WOW. What I would give to see the guy shit his ancient, failing guts out in public.

    Priceless!

Well, he did warn us didn't he? Even in the grave, he will rise up if things go wrong.

In Buddhism, when a person cannot let go, he is suffering. What is the use of hanging onto wealth and power at this age?

He is supposed to be full of wisdom in many things, but if he thinks life is just about amassing wealth and wielding power and passing it over to his heirs, he totally missed the purpose of living.

What happens when he is not around? Really rise from the grave?

  10. “Even from my sick bed, even if you are going to lower me into the grave and I feel something is going wrong, I will get up. The zombie fantasies of young Singaporean boys will become reality, and at least I leave a few happy people behind!” 1988 National Day Rally

Well, he promised us...entertainment. So die already, then!

  11. However much he can try, the party will fall apart one day.

Empires fall, Dynasties fall, Corporations fall (unless Government helping them behind), Everyone falls.

Will PAP be the exception? Fat hope, when humans are around.

That's just like saying ' the sun will go out out one day'.

Whilst you re waiting for 'that day' your asshole is still burning from the constant rape you are getting.

  14. Yep, I thought he will take full control by removing the two yodas for good to show the people that he is in charge.

Sad to note that he still can't go solo. What to do.

Don't worry he'll still wear his track shoes...and perhaps they'll allow him to drive his golf kart into parliament house

  17. Hahaha..

me happens to feel that Tin Pei Ling was brought in to improve and cement the good relationships between the MM, PM and the SM. The Three are like family since the Day Goh Chok Tong help to prepare Lee Hsien Loong for the Premiership. Now, they need a god-daughter to maintain and look after the Relationship.

Anyway between Lee Kuan Yew and Tin Pei Ling; who will the Voters vote?

Me surmises that Voters will vote for both. In any case, a near 90 year old man standing for political election into office deserve nthing less than the highest admiration.

Admiration? I was thinking more along the lines of 'opportunity'.

At that age, as a target, it moves slower and therefore easier to shoot. :-))

    Hahaha, who dares to disallow?

I will not be surprise if they carry him into parliament house on a stretcher, even when he is immobile. Right now, he needs basic support when climbing steps. After what we are seeing, nothing is impossible.

  21. To the rest of the world, this is a joke:

Singapore, claiming Furst Whirled Cuntry status, is that the best you can do: Allow a doddering nearly-90 year old who can't even walk unassisted running for public office?

Any day now the only way the man will be able to stand is if you shove a broomstick up his as and anchor the other end to the ground for support.

Give it up already. It is pathetic -- it's not 'admirable' or 'inspiring' as some ga-ga people would claim. It's fucking sad and embarrassing.

"Oh he looks good for his age" the idiots rave. What the fuck does that mean? Just because his doctors have a 'favourable' medical opinion doesn't mean SHIT.

People get old and frail -- that's the way it goes for us mortals. You have a good 70-75 years to get all the shit you need to get done in a lifetime -- why the fuck is that so hard to accept?

I can understand an artist or scientist or writer wanting to continue until they drop. But if you run for public office and gt in, what you do doesn't on affect you -- it could affect the lives of millions.

The man is irresponsible. How can anyone expect this old fella to serve his constituents?

Would you get into a plane flown by a 90 year old pilot who needs help to walk?!?

    Get fucking real folks!
