Singapore should not be hasty in condemning North Korea

Singapore condemns North Korea for the artillery attack on a South Korean island. It issued a statement saying that the attack was undoubtedly initiated by the DPRK. Does Singapore need to poke its nose in the Korean affair in the first place? And does Singapore know the full story behind the attack? The Singapore media has often published articles and commentaries ridiculing the North Koreans and its leaders, I dunno for what or what it wants to achieve. We have nothing to gain except to be slapped by the North Koreans for being an arrogant brat. What would happen if our neighbours start to hold military exercises just outside our maritime borders? Will we too feel like being screwed like the North Koreans and regard those acts as provocative? The South Koreans and the Americans have been doing just that every now and then to provoke the North Koreans and force them to react. Then they plead innocence and point the fingers at the North Koreans for misbehaving or behaving badly. The Korean Peninsula tension is best left to the Koreans and their agitators to fight it out. We are just a small little prick and better to keep our distance, if we have a choice.

  1. Hey Friend, you probably had not read how netizens including your fan Matilah kept screwing N Korea. Now, your government must be lending supports to netizens showing that itself is very different from N Korea. Your leaders gain nothing for bashing N Korea but Singapore Netizens gain supports from their leadership to bash the N Korean Leaders mah! The Sin Government and its' citizens are in one voice, unison that's worth treasuring. But how they can reach consensus in bashing N Korea when the Sin Gov and its' citizens relate to each other with daily squabbles ?

  2. Matilah must have visited North Korea but deprived of his kicks. That's why he is very angry and biased against them: )

At least he has a reason to wallop North Korea. For most of the citizens, they got nothing to do with North Korea and neither do they know what is happening there except the western biased reports and nonsense which they took as truth.

  3. anon 1202, what cock are you talking lah?

Where have I been screwing N Korea? I'm merely making fun of their leaders lah because the Kim family are born clowns here to entertain the world.

You have the Dear Leader -- who is the long dead Grandfather, then the porno-loving masturbating son Jong il, and now the fiesty grandson who is directing his own Ultimate Fighting Championship -- a world class entertainment extravaganza.

Give credit wher credit is due lah: Grandad -- mati, but still leader, Son -- secretary, furious mastubator, Grandson -- loves violent, extreme sport.

Death, Sex and Violence -- that's good theatre man! Asian version of Shakespeare In ACTION!

Even Singapore's family politics cannot touch the Kim family.

What you want somemore? enjoy the show lah! It's only the introduction now. It'll get more interesting. Shakespeare always does.

  4. Dunno why we are so kaypoh.

Better to devote our brains (whatever is left after the Sir Selamat fiasco) to solving SINKAPOOREAN problems man.

The master bully is sending the USS George Washington to show its middle finger to little Un.

Fock,if I were the father and little Un was my son, I will take his little tubby finger and punch the red "FIRE" button and blast the fockers out of the Yellow Sea.

Then, I'll teach Little Un, three words which I suspect he knows already:

    Up Yours MartherFockers!

    Hehe.

  5. Everything is in the script. The director just called out the actors to act their parts. Now when everything is set, it is opportune time to sail in the aircraft carrier. Otherwise there will be no excuse to do so.

The North Koreans shall whisper to the South Koreans that they have also acquired anti aircraft carrier missiles, as accurate as those developed by the PRC. The you will see if the aircraft carrier dares to sail into the Yellow Sea.

  6. Hehe....

let the actions start, it will be far better than any movie. Let's also send our soldiers for some trainnings in real combats. Time to test out our men and military equipments. At the same time , Singapore will be doing the world a great service in helping to rid a rogue regime.
The Allies will be grateful for the assistance rendered and surely will reciprocate if and when Sin itself ever comes under attack.
Singaporeans too will be happy to volunteer as many seemed to dislike N Korea or even hate it for whatever reason they have.
    Puzzling really.

  8. Talk about irony and sheer self serving deluded idiocy...

One moment PAP singapore is pro US...

Next moment PAP singapore is pro China...

So what is new about the PAP snakes?

They will always be snakes...always out to protect their own selves...

Problem is...when you switch to and fro...in the end the US and China will wacked be together or separately in the future...

Now how stupid is that for the so called snakes who claim their mandate to rule is based on their "intelligence based on some papers" and "integrity" [which is becoming unbelievable by the month with all that swinging to and fro]....

And that is the saddest thing of all...humanity yet again has forgotten it's real enemy...that enemy is humanity itself and the hostile universe out there which can't wait to make man-kind extinct.

Another cycle turning back down and into itself again.

    Too bad.

  10. I wonder what will happen if we bring on the wisdom of PAPies to this matter…

    1) “it is an honest mistake, let’s move on”

    2) “this is a freak incident that happens once in 60 years (since Korean war)”

    3) “just because there is public curiosity and outcry, does not mean the public should know”

    4) “Singaporeans need artillery shells in their stupid animal hides”

    5) “Two of our citizens died? That is PEANUTS!”

    5) “Some of our citizens were killed by Commies North Koreans. That is exactly why we need MORE foreigners to come in, so I suggest we give the North Koreans citizenship. We need foreign talent like them who can kill so well”

    6) “If a lame and limping man can run away from our custody, why can’t the 2 able men run away from the artillery shots? It is not our fault at all”

    7) “The public was not vigilant enough to report the incident to us, that is why we did not know that our country was attacked.”

8 ) “We cannot take matters into our own hands. Instead, our foreign office will ask North Korea to extradite those soldiers responsible to us knowing full well we will be ignored. But we have full trust that N. Korea will charge their own men for knocking down our citizens with their artillery shells”

9 ) “If only we could have handcuffed all the people on the island and moved them further away, there would not by any causalities”

10 ) “We are not a country. We are NOT A COUNTRY. We are only half of a country or only a city. Hence, this is not a war, only an accident like how one of our super expensive helicopters crash landed all by itself. We will talk to the manufacturers of the artillery shells about this”

    ReplyDelete
  11. 11 ) “2 men killed by North Koreans and 1 woman tourist killed a few years ago may seem a lot, but if you consider the country’s births from 1950 till now, that means that temas…ahem South Korea actually reaped profit in population terms. The defense chief will ‘resign’, then we’ll get an angmo to wayang, then the ex-defense chief will be back again.”

12 ) “As president, I must share my epiphany after a “round the world” at tax payers’ expense that times are changing, we need to be ….(thousand words)…Hence I cannot pardon 2 convicts on the death row to make up for the 2 deaths, even though they are young boys. I can’t do anything apart from shaking hands and showing up for NDP unless it affects my multi-million ’salary’. Unfortunately, my silence cannot last another term, DO YOU THINK I WILL LIVE FOREVER?”

13 ) “As the police, we cannot arrest those murderous North Koreans who burnt our citizens. Our only responsibility is to arrest those who threaten to burn our eminent politicians online regardless of their actual intentions.”

14 ) “We need to get our national newspapers to change the headlines. Instead of writing ‘2 citizens killed by N.Koreans’, we should write ‘Less than 3 citizens killed by N.Koreans’. Then we make the article small and add many articles to make us look good on the same page.”

    15) “We will get a North Korean called Gou Liang to interview the families of the deceased asking them why they lost their loved ones and help the dead men retrain and be alive again. (Inspiration from Singapore’s TV show to ‘help’ unemployed locals)

    16) “This is why I say we need to be cheaper, faster and betterer. If they run faster, they will not die. If their lives were cheaper, we will have not qualms with their death. Join us at FCUK-U-C and you will see what zorro means”

    17) “What is the problem with dying from artillery shells. S. Koreans are too fussy. Furthermore the hike in death toll is not due to foreigners, but because of local people who hog a place near S.korea and N.korea at the same time”

    18) “If only I learned from Li Con U. He can call his peers commies and jail them indefinitely but I let real commies rule like gods in N Korean.”

    19) “Don’t worry. We have enough soldiers for war. more than 90% of primary school kids love our country and are willing to defend it. Foreigners can go back to their native countries while we will give C4 for the kids to strap to their bodies while their run screaming and charging to the North. After we punish the north for their atrocities, foreigners can come back to claim their flats and condos.”

Any other contributors like me who stand in awe of the PAPies’ wisdom???

  12. I don't agree with redbean and Wally.

Small-fut, but big-talk Singapore should not refrain from being kaypoh. The role of Singapore is to build it's global brand name -- therefore every geopolitical event is a marketing opportunity. By standing up for "justice" it boosts its own image as "upholder of justice" and a spectacular example of a country governed by the rule of law and "effective law enforcement" -- which screws up once in awhile by allowing terrorist suspects to escape but jails senior citizen eccentric British authors for "contempt". (make the courts and judges tu lan.)

Anyway, many observers have missed the pattern.

N Korea's "mischievous outbursts" are short-lived. It can't afford to make "big show" -- just a small, hard-hitting sketch once in awhile.

In the past: launch missile...everybody gabra, then quiet. Sink naval corvette mostly crewed by young lads fresh out of school...everybody gabra...then quiet.

Latest "show" -- a few days after international summit. Ah, maximum global psychological impact. Also invite US professor and show him massive nuclear enrichment capability. US Prof-- balls drop.

G20 delegate "Wah. What if they attacked whilst we were there having that conference?!?"

Instant terror and gabra. Soon turns to anger, then indignant outrage "Condemn them!!"

Obabma is the world's whitest black man. Also professor. Street cred = zero. The Kim's got more balls than Obama. Obama, if he wants to lead, has to become "more black" -- listen to rap music and hang out with "gang-stas", then maybe he'll grow some cojones (pronounce: co-ho-nes) and pop a cap in Kim's ass.

Obabma, the brother, man showing "attitude" to the Kims:
Yo, motherfucker, stop dat shit, or I'll pop a cap in yo' ass, yo rice dick nigger!

Then fire one missile into Pyongyang, like any self-respecting gang-sta would.

That's how you get respect on the street of geopolitics.

  13. Standing up for justice is one thing. Joining the dark side is another.

Yes, Obama must get darker, and act like Georgie Boy, fly in a cruise missile or attempt a regime change. Sure he will become very popular with the Americans. They will shout, 'War! War!' Kill the commie!. Victory! Victory!.

We can supply them with logistics and food, and R&R.

  14. Singapore has always profited from war. Nothing new.

Stand up for Singapore pragmatism! No moral compass! What for lah?

  15. Just a bit of reality checks.

First, the most powerful country in the World frightens not many a small weaponry backward small countries; Afganistan, Irag, N Korea, Yemen and Cuba etc. And the most powerful man(accorded to the Incumbent US President by ball carriers) is no more powerful than the next man when his/her term is up. Anyway, screw and swear at him/her anyway one likes, the worst consequence will not be death sentence.

In Sin, it is more a case of Rule by Law rather than Rule of Law.

A fox that walks behind a tiger feels powerful too though it's self deluding, a moment's glory is worthwhile to some. And it may boost one's ego.

What has the Korean Affairs go to do with Sin really?
