A higher god descended on paradise

Why did we invite a higher god to mark our report cards on how well we are doing? Is it because we believe that we have done so well and the higher god will be so impressed that he will go back to the kingdom of gods with a glowing report of the fabulous job that we have done. Now our demigods are in for a little nasty surprise when the higher god is not so impressed. And some recommendations were made by the higher god on how we could do better. One of the most sensitive area touched on by the higher god is race and affirmative actions. Our feathers were ruffled for sure. Maybe our demigods would like to ask this higher god how well he did in his own backyard? Did they add 20% or 30% to the marks of their minorities so that more of them could go to universities? Or are their minorities as able and affluent as our minorities? How about their own inter racial/religious relations? Also, they may want to check the credentials of these higher gods. Do they have straight As or do they got their straight As also by affirmative actions? Higher gods that got to become gods through affirmative actions cannot hold a candle to our demigods who got their supertalent credentials on their own merits.

  1. i think unlike the MOE's "honest mistake", MIW would wish they had uninvited him

  2. This "expert" talking cock behind the UN flag after a week to ten days of "fact finding".

It was a colossal mistake to invite him. My friend Ah Kow could have given a more balanced assessment. He knows who works and who doesn't. He knows why his son got into Poly from ITE (It's The End?) and why some of the son's cohort didn't. He knows who is studying like mad to make it in this meritocratic world and who is tinkering with his motorbike at the void deck in the middle of the night. Ah Kow knows. But Ah Kow didn't have a chance to meet this "expert".

We are all very happy he has made his point and flying out from Changi, mission accomplished.

    Have a good trip home.

    Hehe.

  3. We have many experiences with people saying one thing here and saying different things once out of paradise. Don't be surprise if he submit a scathing attack on the wrongdoings in paradise to his gods. We can also be painted like Myanmar or North Korea or some African dictatorships.

  4. Why should he do that?

He enjoys more diplomatic immunity than that Romanian Rogue who only got a third rate banana European state behind him. This is the friggin' UN man.

In any case, be assured that not many people take him seriously, UN or no.

The "fact finding" was an academic exercise. OK, enough of the bullshit. Now, for the business of making money and more money! Things are looking up despite the PIGS (Portugal, Italy, Greece and Spain) problem in the Eurozone which as always will be sorted out in due course fully paid by the European taxpayers.

    Hehe.

  5. The PIGS were once owners of empires. Portugese extended to Malacca, the Spaniards to Latin America and Philippines, the Italians and their Roman Empire while the Greeks and their Alexander the Great empire.

History is going one full circle.

  6. Every dog will have it's day.

    Every empire will fall someday.

    Look at the Chinese.

From Qin Shi Huangdi to the present, it has seen the country rise from majestic empire to the dark days of the Qing dynasty and now to Superpower status. But if I were running the country, I'll be very very careful with the property balloon. When property goes belly up, banks go bust and when they do, the country goes down the tube.

  7. United Nation was requested by the Thai red shirts protesters to do peacekeeping(prevent bloodshed) but it seemed that it was to no avail. Despite near two months of stand-off in Bangkok and other parts of Thailand, the UN and its' Chief Ban Ki Moon were mummed and numbed about possible widespread damages to live and properties.

At the time of request, over twenty live were destroyed.

And yet it(UN) sent Officials to come SIN doing nothing useful. Does UN understand Human Rights which are incorporated under its' auspices???

  8. You are damn right patriot. When this god was asking to be invited here, they should have redirected him to Thailand.

Perhaps they might think that he was very impressed with our scintillating record and wanted to understand it and use it as a proven formula for other countries to follow. Now kena backfired.

  9. Speaking of gods and demi gods, I heard a rumour that Lee Kuan Yew had 2 seizures might not make it.

    Is this true?

Apparently someone predicted Lee's demise for 2008. A little off the mark, but hey, perhaps not too far :)

  10. Affirmative action is racist too - discriminating against the other races by giving selected races special treatment.

That god doesn't know what he is talking about or that he has been hoodwinked by some deceptive activists who paint a distorted picture of our local situation by shouting louder than others.

He should do his own research instead of taking short cuts listening to these biased propagandists.

  11. Anyone who lives past 70 is walking on borrowed time. The flame can be snuffed out at any moment. Just a natural phenomenon.

Some of those in the UN advocating affirmative actions could be beneficiary of that system. But coming to paradise to talk about affirmative action is a bit insane. We are paradise not for nothing. The rest of the world should look up to us as the only working model to emulate.

It is outrageous to think otherwise. Where did this god came from?

  12. "Affirmative action" is most definitely racist.

However just like any other "evil" (like theft and murder) as long as it is backed up by some sort of "political process" (like representational government), all "evils" can be legitamised into "laws for the common good" (whatever the fuck that means).

Racism + legalisative process = Affirmative action

Kidnapping + legislative process = National service

Murder + legistlative process = capital punishment

Fraud + legislative process = central bank issued currency

    Armed Robbery/Extortion + legislative process = Tax

    You get the idea.

  13. redbean;
Where did this god came from?

Like all gods, it is an invention from the human imagination i.e. someone pulled it out of his arse.

  14. This god was sent by the UN and looks like someone from Africa.

  15. Africa? Then this god probably wants apartheid in Singapore.

  16. Something tells me that if this reporter came from white South Africa, the outcome could be different.

The sad truth is, no one can be absolutely and totally impartial. It's a primeval thingy. A chimpanzee and an Orang Utan thinks differently although they are from the same original specie.

I respectfully suggest to the UN to send their reporters in teams of two. One black and one white to give a balanced report.

  17. UN needs affirmative actions too. One black, one white, one brown, One yellow, one pink, what else? Oh, one kopi susu and one teh tarik.

  18. Send whatever colour the UN likes and fancies, BUT Ban Ki Moon must make sure he send them to the RIGHT PLACES.

How can he sent his men to SIN, when they are more needed in other places?

Well, in any case UN or CASE(in SIN), with or without them will hardly make any difference to any beings in this World
