Myth 200 - Workers need to be represented by worker's parties?

Can a worker's party not representing the worker's interest or with a membership of workers? Can a worker's party operates without trade unions under its umbrella? In every country, when a party calls itself a worker's party, it normally has a list of trade unions in its organisation. In paradise, it is very strange that trade unions are under govt link organisations instead of worker's party? You do not need a worker's party to represent the workers. This is a unique formula.

  1. Uniquely Singapore. Just like how people's xxx party does not necessarily represent the majority of the people.

  2. Workers need to be 'represented' by organisations set up ans answerable to only the state.

In that way the govt can have the total control necessary to direct the labour force to whatever the state determines is conducive to the long-term success of the state and its social engineering policy.

All this talk of independent representation is bullshit. What is likely to happen is that these special interest groups gain power bases, and are a threat to the peace of the country and the authority of the state.

Anyone who claims to represent the workers under an independent umbrella needs to be arrested, charged and imprisoned. No one is allowed to challenge the sole authority of the state.

  4. If you are doing business and one day all your worker decide to walk out becos there is one joker in a worker party making trouble , do you think you will support workers for a worker parties principle.

It all depends whether you are in which pairs of shoes.

I think SIN mentality must stop on relying on government for everything. When something good government does, we should cheer and not cast wrong aspirations.

Frankly a large portion of workers need prefer to have control. Or businessman will simply re-locate their business.

I am for organised control versus no control. Think about the cultural revolution in China , the student were behaving like nuts and destroying precious literatures and breaking down decent human all in the name of the long march.

  5. i think you miss my point. i am just highlighting an anomaly, the fact that a worker's party does not represent the workers and has very little worker membership. on the other hand a non worker's party has all the workers as its members.

    see the irony?

  6. When they tell you you cannot manage your CPF money and they must keep it for you, what can you do?

When they say workers must be represented by a union run and controlled by the Government in power, what can you do?

When they say western democracy cannot work in unique Singapore, what can you do?

When they say Singapore will return to the swamps without the PAP, what can you do?

Nothing, absolutely nothing! We are done for. Nobody has done us in. We did ourselves in by voting PAP every election. We dig our own graves. We are trying to get out of the hole, but it is too late.

And the ignorant peasants live happily ever after. In ignorance and in bliss. Amen.
