Heard over the news that our taxi problem is more or less resolved. Taxi passengers are happier as the waiting time has been halved. And taxi drivers' income is also better than before.
Now we have happy passengers, happy drivers and happy taxi operators.
I had a chat with a cabby on the way to Changi T3 yesterday afternoon.
ReplyDeleteI asked him about his increased income as mentioned by Raymond Lim in Parliment.... he said its a BAG of BS.
Running empty most of the time, 2 drivers got to share one Taxi and return the other, average income has actually gone down.
Perhaps can ask NTUC how many cabby has returned their taxi???
i think, just think only, the taxi drivers are wrong or lazy.
ReplyDeletePerhaps need to figure out how to reduce wastage on the road running empty, fuel prices has gone through the roof anyway.
ReplyDeleteKeep on repeating the more income mantra and it will soon become the tooth. Meanwhile the taxi operators are sharpening their knives waiting for the kill.
ReplyDeleteto think that diesel is up, driving around with an empty cab is like burning money.
ReplyDeleteafter christmas we now happy chinese new year. after this we will have to wait for christmas again. hopefully by then the people got use to the high fare and will take taxis more often.
mrt and buses, well, too crowded.
This is the order it should be done: first raise cab fares to shorten the taxi queues; subsequently raise mrt and bus fares to resolve the issue of empty cabs.
ReplyDeleteThis illustrates that there are, as a matter of fact people with shit for brains amongst us.
ReplyDeleteWhy choose a line of work, then complain about it, and worst of all do nothing about it but stay rooted in the same position?
What a bunch of dumb losers!
