Time to cane teachers and principals

Read about the case of a foreign student being taunted and bullied until he broke down. First time student was counselled and bullies punished. Not sure how serious was the punishment but it seemed that the bullies were having a great time bullying the student again. This time the poor student went berserk and attacked the bully again. Even after that he was uncontrollable. It was obvious that the bullying was not a simple case of friendly taunting between pals. Things were thrown at the student and all kinds of unfriendly and insulting remarks were used to attack him. How could this be allowed to go on and on to the point where the poor student could go mad? This is uttterly irresponsible on the part of the teachers and principle. They should be caned in the assembly hall. It is so shameful that our education system can allowed such abuses to go on and on and hurt a student physically, mentally and emotionally. The experience is so traumatic for a young man that is growing up. He will grow up hating all those he met here and Singapore.

  1. I say cane the parents of the offending pupils as well. Some parents are so protective of their children that any attempts by teaachers to punished pupils for wrongdoing are met with threats of complaints to the MOE.

And there are cases of parents reprimanding teachers right in front of their children. What a world of difference between now and the early fifties where teachers were given some leeway to punish errant pupils. If you are a teacher now, what would you do Redbean? Punish the errant students and risked losing your job?

  2. Then obviously this cry baby got to learn muay thai. "Muay Thai is a Thai martial art developed several centuries ago as a battlefield skill for those soldiers who had lost or broken their weapons." screamed a training school. When talking is cheap you got to let muay thai do the bloody f**king rest.

  6. I feel that the foreign student must be a trouble maker and shit stirrer and therefore should go back where he belongs.

  10. seriously, how can bullying be allowed to go on to such an extent that a young man's life is messed up? Not every child is strong enough to stand up against a bully, especially a foreigner here.

and this boy let it go when pushed to the limit. it is lucky that he did not kill that bully.

  12. never mind when people bully you when you know that they can't but just that you let them have a little pleasure. there is no point to get deeply into a wild tirade and mess up the blog.

actually matilah is not such a bad guy except for his lingo. he likes to take the extreme views of things. i rather take the middle path.

and sometimes there are some issues that really pissed me off. but i always regained my composure and restrain myself a little.

let us all make this a more pleasant place for chatting.

  14. Hi Red Bean, that pussie takes extreme view of things? Not at all! Not radical even!
As always that loudmouth confesses - he takes the SELFISH way looking @ things. Things you're putting up here for us to discuss. Things that are bigger than us one or all, but affect us so much more.
If you think taking selfish potshots at others, calling others f--kers when bloggers here say something a tad stronger in opinion. Is that pussie not being sooo opinioniated and SELF-RIGHTEOUS?! For such selfish ways of a pussie seeking only his self-pleasure (as pussie always say) in criticising the citizens and seeing the system collapse, what role does that pussie play here?!!
Unless you grant pussie that latitude. Gives pussie go ahead to chew and spit here!?

  15. hi guys,

i try not to make things personal. i think matilah has got the message. lets be generous. once people got the message we should let go.

remember, we are not here to make enemies. just to share views. lets discuss on issues then going after one another.

    cheers.
