parliament brief

The most impressive MP in Parliament yesterday must be this guy, shit, I can't even remember his name. Oh yes, Sam Tan. He has such a massive memory that he could remember things lucidly when he was about 5 or 6 years old. And political events and personalities too. I am very impressed. And Amy Khor suggested that the govt should start to study and understand the problems and mindsets of the needy so as to better understand them. Now isn't it about time. It is important to really understand why this people would not come forward to beg for charity and alms but to choose to jump. And there were calls to raise the minimum wages. Now that is a bit tricky I think. Can we really raise the wages for the lower level jobs when others can do it at half or less than half our asking price? I thought it would be easier to lower the cost of essential services and products. These are within our control. Make less profits or subsidise a little. No, I am not suggesting killing the goose that lays the golden egg. And to think that people are now rushing to grab at cleaner jobs. Now is that a good sign or bad sign? Is it because people are now so desperate or penniless that anything will do? I am not sure. I don't know their mindsets. But the best part is the bedroom antics. Now things are going to be more interesting between consenting couples behind close doors.

  3. No more MPs... Aiyah... No more faith to offer.

    What would they have?

    Cleaners? Production workers? Or waiters?

My friend from the entertainment industry is coming to Singapore to visit me... And what should I tell her?

And yeah, she thot Singapore is a nice place with no one jobless. "You have so much talents, you should have a great career in Singapore..."

What the f*** does she and those stars and directors know...

Hahahaha... I am helping with global publicity of Singapore in this pathetic stance with the help of this PM. Hahahaha...

I told them, Li An can be jobless for 6 years, try that in Singapore... he'd prepare to be jobless forever!

    Hahahahaha...

Since the media people like to visit me, I say come. I'd show you what is Singapore.

  8. Abao, thanks. Gimme the link.

Reddie, it is better to be unemployed than to be cleaning toilets cos not only this lady from the entertainment industry is bent on visiting me, but I'd tend to this somebody whose media enjoyed enormous circulation many times that of SPH...

And I am known to them as more talented than what jobs CDAC can provide. Hehehe...

Imagine they come to find out what Singapore is doing for me, gossips about Singapore would fly. Image of Singapore will be shattered. Indeed, many expressed shock and curiousity why I can teach Chinese now.

And I am expected to host them.

I know CDAC lah, Reddie. You just ain't getting the picture. I am perceived as highly talented outside Singapore for my works, and it's highly crazy to go clean toilets... Hahahahaha...

That's telling how absurd and stupid this govt is. Got it? (Yeah, the govt is really quite absurd anyway.)

Never mind, you won't understand. I need to leave this silly place anyway. This is a sick place under a sick mentality.

Say, if Reddie is a known master in a field and perceived a talented person but when you have some great overseas media people coming over to see you, your country has nothing for you but make you work as a sweeper... What'd you think?

  9. '...indeed, many expressed shock and curiousity why I can't teach Chinese now...'

    Error. Amended.

Dear Reddie... I am not only known in Singapore internet.

I have supporters (fans) to tend to and such... It's not as simple as those pee-nuts MPs think. What do they know of the real outside world?

  10. ok elfred, just pulling your legs.

now you must try to impress your visitors and hopefully they can find you useful for a position in china.

    good luck.

  11. Hehehe... Actually, I am kinda 'award-winning' already. And... You know, celebrities will just drop by and take a peep at my foreign blog... one of the reasons is my site can be found in many celebrities' links' list.

In a way, what happens to me go direct out of Singapore in gossips.

A visitor is confirmed coming... I suspect her to be under instruction of the media company to dig my happenings. Cos the boss I know... very the demonish gossip monger type. Hehehe...

But I have a real problem here. I need a proper career. OK. MOE is a fiasco to me now. "Can't believe it that your Chinese is so good and so talented and you are retrenched..."

Boyz... this is god-damned Singapore. What do they expect?

The next producer who's willing to make an offer, I'd fly. I turned down once... Quite stupid actually.

  12. elfred,

they may write a book or make your story into a movie. the title i think should be something like...university graduate struggling to find job in face of foreign competition...or local graduate unwanted in prosperous singapore.: )

    ReplyDelete
  13. Actually, could. If I sell the idea strong enough cos this kinda happenings to me is totally whacky, and my encounters due to clob and my family and the govt were rich source of events... a wealth in literature.

She wanted to 'help' me by giving me role, and a major one. She's a well-known producer. But... I was about to be a teacher back then and I prefer to have an influential 经纪人 to back me up first.

I am now talked about in the circles... And it'd be only time that I exit PAP with such hostile move to explore a bigger plain. If I can get funding now, what do you think? Hahahahaha...

I no have much time to play their silly game with such ridiculous mindsets.

Singapore is not prosperous, Reddie. Its hub status in various fields are shaking, its business ethics and poor thinking are losing political goodwills and sowing animosity among the people out there. Its use of 'talents' is a joke in the world. The Casinos will become a white elephant in the end.

Prospering state doesn't have playdowns of people taking suicides one after another due to poverty and bo-chap MPs talking nosense in Parliament. Got it?

When I published Wee Wee's divine words to Derek, you know... even in English, people there expressed shocking... even if Wee Wee ain't their people.

Prosperous... You only expect prosperity of a state with good hands in charge. Nowadays, I obviously don't wanna chap government that much if they don't disturb me. Pitifully, poor governance is giving people problems... me included. And I lost my beloved. Sigh...

    Sigh...

I actually gotta see Singapore declining to this state.

My life story marks this particular period of time in Singapore's short history. Would be an enriching volumn for future leaders, and my fans.

  14. did you approach jack neo to sell your story?

i no stupid sequel III. boy grows up and now called himself elfred!

    ReplyDelete
  15. There are bad gossips about Jack Neo, 李南星 and Zoe+Fann...

Anyway, this industry got plenty of gossips. Even my dismissal from MOE also gossips. Some good acts of Singapore for its GrEaT reputation ie.

Local productions ain't making in-roads. So my story would probably got stucked in Singapore if sold to a local... So...

  16. then you should try china or hk or taiwan. they like juicy stories from singapore. i think they will grab it and make elfred a millionaire celebrity overnight.
