nkf patient not paying dialysis fee

the straits times editorial commented about this group of patients who refused to pay their dialysis fee as a sign of protest against the old nkf management. and they seen as disloyal to the establishment that helped them. what about the other side of the coin? being duped by the establishment and paid more than they should? but what is important is that the feelings of betrayal and anger are still very strong. they are not going to go away so easily. did i hear a report saying that the staff and patients wanted to move on?

  1. Nope... the disturbing portion is how come they rate old men who could pay as trying to cheat...

Come on. Old man, sick with kidney sufferings, and Mr Ee can just consider it as some welfare to senior citizens. This is a very problematic thinking.

Or shall we get the old to beg the young in this materialistic society where the young themselves could be trying save for their own kidney failures at old age...

  2. elfred,

this got to do with the confusion with the co payment mentality in medical insurance and medisave scheme. the thinking is that the patient must pay a portion to prevent spurious charging to the account.

they forgot that kidney patients are real and there are patients who really cannot afford such an expensive life support system, paying one or two thousand dollars a month to be alive. no payment assured death.

it is not really a charity in its original sense. it is a copayment scheme.

  3. In one word... problem. And we leave under such mentality... even more problem. Sigh...

Why not have a NKF CPF instead and force everyone to donate? Hahaha...

Mr Ee is betraying certain aspect about himself of what he's trying to protray...

    Lets watch on...

  4. right on elfred,

tell him man. it started as a charity and go one big circle and now looks like a circus to me.

when the fundamentals are wrong, when you try to cover one hole, more holes open up.

go elfred, go. tell him to get the basic mission right.

  5. I suddenly stomache... :D

Now Mr Ee's concern is not of ours, it's still of whose who do the allocation, and for us to just watch on.

There many things, but commoners only got a mouth each.

  6. i think they are still attached to the mindset of a huge organisation and need to feed the mammoth. that is why i called for a review of the mission.

what do you think of my proposal? it is a seed that i hope can be planted and grow. but needs extra hands.

  7. Durai and NKF aside, I now may be encountering a little problem with what senior grassroot leader... His name is Li Chun Hua (or Choon Hwa or what...). It happens at this Pioneer Seafood Restaurant, Tuas Amenities Centre. It's about my wife...

Reddie, primary school or what level education is ok, but pretty useless when the society itself is both the source and end of education itself. Even schools thrive when society is influenced that formal education works for their interest.

So in education, a mature and competent decision on this is there must be a leadership first of all. It's not so simple and no campaigns can remove such problems that while you can call and fine smokers, you can't simply stop Durai-s and change their mentality to such absurd greed and poor culture by fines and calls (education).

    See?

I am now more concern about this senior Grassroot Leader's issue with my wife. Grassroot leader... ... What is the party trying to do to the population with such leaders!? I am checking where this Leader is from.

But it is known that this leader... has a very lousy private life... Some good influence huh...
