India, according to Scott Bessent has been buying Russian oil in increasing volumes only of late and profiteering according to him, by reselling to the EU. Why does making profit in business now a concern of the USA? Now, at last the USA is openly admitting the root cause of the sanction's failure and that the EU is still buying Russian oil indirectly, despite all the grandstanding about collapsing Russia by cutting off its oil exports. While the whole world already knew and talking about the EU buying Russian oil under the table as a matter of fact, the leaders of the EU countries keep pretending that this is not happening. This loophole is what actually led to the failure of USA and EU to collapse the Russian economy, and they were realistically kidding themselves about setting US$60 oil caps and all those nonsenses. But the show must go on and I just wonder what Scott Bessant is going to pull out of the bag to demonize India further.
Now Palki Sharma will be very unhappy and angry with Scott Bessant for treating India differently from China. Furthermore, she is probably trying to figure out now who to prioritize her attacking stance - USA or China.

USA is right to impose heavy tariffs on India lah. The Bharat empire deserves it !!
ReplyDeleteIndia thinks it is smart trying to play both sides. Now both sides are squeezing India like a soiled sponge, hardly able to return to its original shape. Never mess with China as it has long memories, the same mindset as its resorting to playing long games.
ReplyDeleteIndia is just like the archery target for USA leaders now, all jumping into the fray to see who can come up with the best demonization move to upset the Indians. Scott Bessent has taken his pot shot, with Peter Navaro following fast, calling India the laundry mat of Russia. Funny that Navaro has forgotten to demonize so many other countries that are now the laundry mat of the USA, such as Japan, South Korea, Philippines, Taiwan and the EU. These laundry mats are even willing to sacrifice themselves for the interest of the USA. At least India is not sacrificing itself for Russia, rather only making hay while the sun shines, buying its cheap oil to make money from USA laundry mats, which is what Navaro is obviously unhappy about. India is a competitor for energy exports to the EU, more so by selling cheap Russian oil under the table and making huge profits, which is a slap on the face of the USA.
If India is still negotiating with the USA, one thing certain is that the 50% tariff will be reduced somewhat, all a ploy employed by Trump in his 'Art of the Deal' to being India back on track hopefully. This is where the danger lies for Russia and China. Never trust a snake, especially with a bigger snake behind pulling the strings.
India cannot be trusted and will turn against China any moment.
