I think it is a good strategy adopted by China, selling weapons that the PLA probably is not figuring in its arsenal, freely without having to fear the leaking of security issues. Countries do not have to buy them and stationed them in China, LOL. Even a UK F35 marooned in Kerala is under heavy guard for fear of security leakage. That is for a plane that is probably two decades old, my goodness. Remember that F35 that fell from a carrier into the South China Sea in January 2022? There was much fear of China salvaging it. But China was not interested even in trying to go for it. China probably knows it is obsolete but still being hyped up.
I think there is a goldmine opening up for China in the global military hardware sector. When it takes off, hmm, wonder if that over-capacity demonization is again going to rear its ugly head. I would not bet against that, as that will be China eating the lunch of the traditional weapon manufacturers.

Kelvin Wamsley thinks that Iran is buying an 'air force' from China, everything needed to keep its airspace secure. Right now, the Iranian airspace is as porous as a fishnet, allowing enemy planes to fly in, bomb them, and fly out without a response. That is going to change. New younger Iranian leaders have new plans for the country.
ReplyDeleteIran is buying China's J10 fighter jets, PL15 missiles and Chinese made Advance Warning and Control Systems (AWACS), the whole works, all integrated to work with each other. This is better than buying air defense equipment from many sources that have difficulty working with each other.
The war between Pakistan and India exposed this shortcoming. Even Pakistan's JF17, developed in co-operation with China, could work well with Chinese weapons. That was a massive advantage for Pakistan over India, that had French Rafale, Russian MIGs and India's own fighter jets operating on different platforms.
That war between Pakistan and India opened up a big market for Chinese military equipment manufacturers. The Rafale jet at US$288 million each paid by India can buy seven J10s with money to spare, and with the latter not lacking in performance, I think the J10 needs no advertising. China can make as many as needed with its control of rare earth elements, titanium, and much cheaper steel, iron and aluminum.
What is even more shocking, according to Kevin is that Chinese PL15 missiles are being made in factories by robots working 24 hours a day. Western weapon manufacturers meanwhile are waiting for China to loosen it rare earth exports before being able to make what is needed. Which is why Trump is pushing for a ceasefire in the Middle East and Ukraine. Putin is not buying it and is continuing with his bombing, infuriating Trump. Israel wants a truce to rearm and regroup, and Hamas must not fall into the trap.
Putin tells Ukraine and USA he will not back down. Wang Yi tells the EU China will not let Russia fall. I think that is absolutely clear and simple.
