Canada’s faux pas – A lesson for American cronies and little USAs

Canada was an innocent party in the trade war between China and the USA. So the daft Canadians claimed. For whatever reasons, Canada deemed it fit to arrest a Chinese national on transit in a Canadian airport under the instruction of the Americans for violating American sanction against trading with Iran. Now Canada has offended China by this arbitrary arrest of a foreign national that did not commit any crime in Canada nor in the USA. To make matter worse, in its zeal to please the Americans, the Canadian police and legal institution put Meng Wanzhou, a top female executive of Huawei under handcuffs and leg cuffs as if she was a hard core criminal that could break free and harm other people around her. And the silly judge imposed ridiculous conditions to let her out on bail but not before trying to keep her in prison for as long as they could.

The mischievous antics of the Canadian police and judicial system have forced China to take retaliatory measures against the Canadians, cancelling a trade delegation from Canada and arresting of an ex Canadian diplomat and a businessman for activities against the national interest of China, ie American intelligence operators. More arrests of Canadians are rumoured to be on the card. The Canadian govt now found it necessary to send out a warning to Canadians not to visit China for fear of being arrested.  This is so stupid and so unnecessary.

China Canadian relations are now at rock bottom. What has Canada hoped to gain from this faux pas? More praises from the Americans for being a good puppy? What were the consequences for Canada? Would Canada gain a bad reputation for the irresponsible and reckless arrest of a citizen of another country, China, and the silly police and court antics? Canada is now seen as a rogue country, a country of kidnappers, an American crony.

China has no choice but to retaliate and to hit hard at Canada. For not doing so it would compromise China’s interest and Chinese nationals would fear stepping out of China. Not doing so would mean other American cronies and little USAs would be emboldened and encouraged to do the American bidding to arrest Chinese nationals at the behest of their American masters. Not doing so would discredit China as a respectable world leader and as a dependable partner to fall back on when pressured or attacked by the Americans and its allies and cronies.

What are the lessons for American cronies and little USAs? Would they want to be like the little good puppy, Canada, and do the bidding of the Americans to do the dirty work for the Americans and suffered the consequences? The Americans would not hesitate to make their cronies and little USAs to be the commandos, to charge first and to die first for the American Empire. Canada just had a bad taste of this American treachery.

Would the American cronies and little USAs want to antagonize China, likely their number one trade partner and lose the goodwill with China and become an enemy of China when they don’t have do? What have they got to gain and what to lose if they are to do and act like the Canadians?

I think the best option is to shut up and pretend not to see, not to hear and not to say anything. Why get in between two elephants fighting and get trampled into flatten mud shit?

They have no qualms of their evils ways and are scared to lose their Status quo.

Whereas Communinism tried to level up the inequailty of the people?

    What's so wrong with that??

Do not look at Communist China and even North Korea and others as Evil Nations as brainwashed by the Capitalists.

See South Korea and so many So called Capitalists countries with their decandence and inequalities.

Sinkieland is just one good example. The Elites grabbed as much as possible and the poor slot thru their death beds.

Uncle Sam and Canada plotted the kidnap of Sabrina Meng to hold China to ransom. The plot misfired. China now holds Canada to ransom by detaining 2 of its citizens. The strong reaction by China is a warning to the rest of the other Evil Eyes. The UK, the Aussies and the Kiwis are probably having second thoughts about banning Huawei. China has decided on an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. Leaves everyone blind and toothless. The Commie message is clear. There is no winner in a war.

  10. @ The Spooky Spirits of Five Eyes

Nah. They won't give a shit what China does. You forget, The Five Eyes will tekan their own citizens of necessary. So a foreign power especially one as big as China they will go HARDCORE of necessary.

You don't understand how the ang mo mind works lah. They don't scare easily. In fact, their actions are based on their own mind-created fear which causes them to do insane things like “preemptive strikes”.

Canada-China relations have never been stable, they've fluctuated up and down through the years. Now it's at a low point.

You're making too much of a big deal lah. As I said before, China is looking very WEAK in this affair.

The headlines in Canadian news don't even mention China's actions. That's how “important” this is: zero importance to the average legal pot-smoking, shitty Canadian whiskey-drinking Canuck.

If you think the Anglo Canadians don't care, the French Canadians give less than zero fucks about this. Most of them rough cunts don't even know where China is lah. If you think I'm joking, don't just take a trip there, LIVE there for awhile and mingle with the locals. Then you'll get an idea of what a “tidak apa relac lah brudder, let's smoke a joint” culture looks like.

This is nothing burger. China's losing face lah.

  13. @ Why Lee Kuan Yew is still the modern world's foremost exponent of realpolitik

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Realpolitik#Singapore

What is the most distinguishing characteristic of Lee Kuan Yew? I would argue it is SINGLY his propensity, nay his HABIT of not only taking action, but SWIFT, objective-focused, DIRECT action. Whether he was smashing a political opponent off the face of the planet, or taking the necessary hard choices after Singapore was forcibly seceded from the Malayan Federation, shutting down SIA during the pilot's strike or a simple matter of dealing with chewing gum messing up elevators, cleaning up the Singapore river, stopping littering and spitting....this was one chap who acted swiftly, decisively, always looking forward and without regret even when he was wrong. As far as international relations went, LKY as a global statesman has to this day, NO EQUAL. He's carved out his own place in history, in that respect.

China's President-for-life Xi Jinping is by his own words, a self-professed disciple of LKY's "style". But Xi lacks the RESOLVE of LKY to take SWIFT, focused action in order to deal with shit which someone just slung in his face. Being thrown out of the Federation was a big bucket of shit slung in the faces of every Singaporean by UMNO and PM Tengku Abdul Rahman (who was succeeded by Najib's father Abdul Razak, then deputy PM).

**To the strawberries: I was only 10 at the time when Singapore was fucked off. But I do remember the PANIC. Many Singaporeans made a swift exit to "the usual favoured ang mo cuntries". My father was "advised" by his mates to leave, but my dad told them: "I trust this Lee Kuan Yew fella. He is not a communist. He understands capitalism" The general feeling amongst the towkays was "As long as we're left alone to do business and make money, we don't care lah. The cuntry needs leadership". The Strawberries need to know what REAL ACTION is and why it is so darn important. You have to take it, and it must be directed and swift. What LKY did next, and subsequently put Singapore in the history books and powered way ahead of not just Malaysia, but every other backward Asian cuntry. Learn your history.**

President Xi was way too slow to respond to this slap in the face. If Lee Kuan Yew was in his place, Canada would have got her proper comeuppance, and Trump would have probably lost his Trade War before it even started.

REALPOLITIK is about dealing with the world as it is, not using "theory" to take action thinking about how the world SHOULD be. Under LKY, Singapore was unapologetically PRAGMATIC. Fuck the "political theory of academia", we do it our way. 👍🏻👍🏻🤜🏼 🤛🏼👌🏽

Xi Jinping needs to go back to his notes, reflect and re-evaluate his thinking and propensity for action. LKY was hard-wired for swift action. That's why he is (present tense) so damn outstanding.

Beijing has come good on its earlier threats of grave consequences for Canada. The detention of 2 Canadians within the space of a week is China serving notice to Trudeau and like-minded Evil Eyes to watch out. China has realised that when a scholar meets a soldier, no amount of reasoning will work. President Xi has told its military to prepare for war. He is a disciple of Mao and believes power grows out of the barrel of a gun. China is done with talking. When LKY tried to mediate between China and Taiwan, he was told off that Singapore is not family. A real loss of face for LKY.

The kidnap of Sabrina Meng is a blunder. The whites failed to grasp who they are dealing with. Chinese President Xi Jinping is a super outstanding man of real strength and tenacity, a leader, a fighter and a builder. He believes that a military capable of fighting and winning wars is essential to realizing the Chinese Dream and boosting comprehensive national power. Xi has spared no effort to crack down on the infiltration of Western propaganda and maintain domestic stability. He single-mindedly leads the Chinese people to explore a better future through constant practice and experimentation. Compare to XJP, LKY is nothing but a tin pot dictator.

Even china or russia people want to emigrate out of there if they can. Communists are so good in condeming other people including their own kind that they force this selfish ideology down their throats. Capitalism is not perfect but still way better than communism.

MIC 25 is a subtle declaration that China no longer practise Deng's dictum to bide its time and hide its strength. Uncle Sam's rogue tactics has forced China to adapt. The kidnap of Sabrina Meng served as a warning to the whole world of 7 billion people in 190 countries that Uncle Sam can enforce its domestic laws on other countries and disregard their sovereignty with impunity. This is blatant imperialism. China's detention of 2 Canadians is an act of defiance and retaliation. Nobody can mess with Chinese Commies without expecting grave consequences.

Albert Einstein is no fan of capitalism. He believed that the economic anarchy of capitalist society as it exists today is the real source of evil.

  20. Spy Chiefs Agreed to Contain Huawei -- WSJ

Spy chiefs from the West's most powerful intelligence alliance agreed in a July meeting in Canada they needed to contain Huawei Technologies Co., according to people familiar with the matter, punctuating years of worry about the Chinese maker of telecommunications equipment.

Soon afterward, in an unprecedented campaign, some of the chiefs began to speak out publicly about the risks associated with Chinese-made gear, especially to next-generation 5G mobile networks now starting to be rolled out world-wide.

The meeting in Canada drew together spy chiefs from the "Five Eyes" intelligence-sharing network, made up of English-speaking allies Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the U.K. and the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency Director Gina Haspel attended, according to these people.

Capitalism is based on profit competition and gives rise to the worst and predatory instincts of men. The failure of capitalism in tackling climate changes is exemplified by Uncle Sam's refusal to ratify the Paris Agreement for capitalist reasons. Capitalists transform the masses into willing slaves as they depend more and more on the very corporations that exploit them. Greater income inequality is another result of predatory capitalism.

Both Canada and Uncle Sam have made the wrong move by kidnapping Sabrina Meng. It provides China with the raison d'etat to take counter measures. Uncle Sam should work harder to outperform China in developing 5G technology rather than getting the 5 Evil Eyes to undermine Huawei. The easy way out is fraught with danger. Canada is laying a political mine-field to help Uncle Sam. The irony is that Canada has stepped on its own mine and self-destruct. China hit back by taking two hostages. China definitely has more tricks up its sleeves to turn the tables on Canada and Uncle Sam.

  32. Pompeo's arrogance apparent in intervention to press China to release two Canadians

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said 2 Canadians kept in custody by China are unlawfully detained and should be returned. Canadian foreign minister Chrystia Freeland also defended the arrest of Meng Wanzhou, CFO of Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei, as a decision made according to law not politics.

Earlier this week US President Donald Trump said he might step in if it is good for his country, implying that Meng's case could be leveraged as a bargaining chip, which turns out to be an embarrassment for the Canadian government.

Canada is clamoring about how "unacceptable" it is for China to keep its people in custody, and still insisted that Meng's arrest under US request was based on law. Ottawa is seeking support from the US, and also hopes other allies will join and step up the pressure on Beijing.

China's judiciary is different from the US and Canada, so how could both countries be so sure that China's detention of the two Canadians is illegal? Jurisdiction is an essential component of a country's sovereignty. All foreign citizens in China, instead of holding the illusion that they can be protected by the laws of their home countries, must abide by the laws of China. Canadian and US foreign ministers must be fully aware of the basic principle.

The US has been relentlessly employing long-arm jurisdiction, and Canada is willing to be its accomplice. Ottawa should reflect on its decision instead of blaming Beijing.

The world order is not an expansion of the legal systems and values embraced by the US and Canada. Different systems should be integrated in an inclusive environment. Insolence and arrogance, represented by the US and Canada through their blatant accusation of China, is the worst detriment to the world order.

The US and Canada have strong capability of using laws as weapons against other countries. Their propaganda machines and the Western media networks have the power to distort anything in their field. However, facts and principles are more powerful than any headline or frontpage story. China, a mega country, must make sure its national interests and security are strongly defended against any external forces.

The US and Canada make an uproar that China's detention of the two Canadians will jeopardize the country's business environment. But Meng's arrest makes a far bigger impact on the global business environment.

Canada should know that having the US' support won't make much difference. Fiddling with the Taiwan question is unlikely to put any pressure on Beijing. Ottawa must be aware that China has many cards to play, and going against Beijing is a bad idea. Staying away from the tensions between China and the US should be what it seeks.
