Does CPF changes affect Malaysians/PRs?

I don't think all these Minimum Sum, Medisave and delayed withdrawal will affect Malaysians or PRs working here. Not very sure on this. Any one knows? Or would it mean that Singaporeans are now even worst off than non Singaporeans on this?

  3. malaysian prs will not take up citizenship here. they will go back to malaysia upon retirement in order that they can withdraw all their cpf money.

  5. I doubt that Singaporeans can be worse off than non Singaporeans in their own country. however i have observed that chinese scholarship holders by the hundreds are indeed a lucky lot. becos they came free, no need to do national service and after getting their PR in a short space of time, some are already competing with the local aunties and uncles as real estate agents. makes me wonder whether there shud be more transparent disclosures and public information available about what sorts of bonds these chinese youngsters are subjected to ... is it some loose bonds which specify as long as the scholarship holder works and contribute gst and taxes to kitty it is deemed ok .... or more concrete contributions necessary?

becos from my experience, this thinking and concerned govt who is consistent in all their policies will never allow this to happen.

regarding the part abt the chinese scholarship holders working..., nobody knows the actual story, and it is just as well that some could be moonlighting illegally, for all we know. but with more transparency and public disclosures, everyone will get to understd the correct picture, instead of relying on misunderstandings and heresays from the ah sohs and aunties.
