Indian passenger accused SIA of being racist

“Facebook user Chandni Doulatramani shared the video on social media yesterday and shared the frustrations of the passengers on board the SIA plane. Apparently, the flight could not depart due to an issue with the air-conditioner and an SIA air stewardess allegedly admitted that “the aircraft hasn’t been in use for a long time and so the airconditioning was not working.”…

Chandni says that when passengers, who were in the dark about what was going on, tried to seek answers they were rudely shut down: “When we confronted the cabin crew, they had no answers, rudely shut us up, threatened to call the cops to arrest us, and said “we are in the same situation as you are, don’t ask us, we don’t know anything”.”…

Chandni – who strongly believes that the airline was racist against Indians and that this would not have happened if the flight was not headed to India – has indicated that she may be planning to sue SIA if they do not compensate the passengers for such an experience.

In the comments section of the post, she added that she hopes the staff lose their jobs:”

The above are extracts posted in theindependent site. SIA must be very careful of its image particularly when it is being accused of being a racist airline by the Indians. If they are not careful, all the Indian passengers would not take SIA and the CECA that favours Singapore companies to do business in India would be a wasted agreement. And SIA would not only have to close down but also be sued for racism.

Singapore as a country also has to tread this line very carefully. With a few hundred thousand Indians being invited to work in Singapore under the CECA, it would be very serious if the Indians turn around to accuse Singapore and Singaporeans of being racist. Singapore has a lot to learn from India on how not to be racist to Indians.

Singapore and Singaporeans may not think this is so because their tiada apa attitude towards race, young Singaporeans are coloured blind, would and could be perceived as racist by Indians who have not been subject to racism as racist. Young Singaporeans are quite casual and callous in their conversation and remarks and these may be seen as racism, just like the UOB D&D when some young Singaporeans painted their faces black for the party.

Maybe the govt should start a campaign by making all Singaporeans wear a T shirt with the words, ‘Singaporeans are not racist”. Of course the T shirt would come with a price tag, nothing is free is Singapore. It is better to be tolerant to the foreigners and not to be accused of as a racist people. And they are here to create jobs for Singaporeans. Without them Singaporeans, especially the PMETs would be jobless. These foreigners gave up their good jobs at home to come to help Singaporeans. They could stay in their home countries where jobs are aplenty and life was good. In a way they are making huge sacrifices like our politicians to earn millions here.

Looks like SIA has a lot of damage control to do with the above comments by this Chandni circulating in the social media.

This racist label is a tough one especially when the accusers are Indians. They would soon be a majority in Singapore. Be very careful not to be caught to be making racist remarks or acts by the Indians.

PS. Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri to all our Malay and Muslim brothers and sisters.

We had warned about PAP elite's policy tilt towards India before. This is the consequence. The India nationals now think they are the masters and can lord over Sinkies!

The Indians should fly world class Air India to Singapore where there is no racism against them. Why so stupid and pay to fly SIA and get treated like rubbish?

When India's state of Tamil Nadu chief minister Jayalalithaa Jayaram died in December 2016, Singapore's foreign minister Vivian Balakrishnan flew all the way there to pay respects.

Why should a sovereign country level foreign minister flew all the way there to pay respect to a state-level minister? Singapore's sovereign level minister equivalent to a India state level minister?

They are racist to call sinkies racist. Sinkieland accepts and provides so many jobs to indians to the point of giving sinkies jobs to india nationals.

The Indians who flew SIA were obviously disappointed that they did not receive business class treatment. A little bit of Johnny Walker or Jack Daniels would have easily smoothen ruffled Indian feathers. They were obviously mistaken if they thought SIA means Serve Indians Alcohol. Now SIA will get a taste of Indian power. They have threatened to sue and will win. CECA dictates that Indians from India must be treated like holy cows.

SIA can consider changing its CEO to an Indian. I think this will help in its image. The PR head can also be Indians to deal with the Indians. Also can tell the Indians SIA means Singapore India Airline. Then all will be fine.

First of all, SIA is the important flag bearer of Singapore and would never close down, which was what the old man said, during the so-called pilot strike many many years ago.

Second, SIA cabin crews are well known for treating Caucasians and Asians differently. It is a fact of life.

Third, Indians are the new 'Sahib' of Sinkieland. They run most of the GLCs, the President is an Indian, the most important portfolios in the Government are helmed by Indians. What more evidence do we need to support this assumption.

Finally, Sinkieland is now considered the official 'Little India'. This was the unofficial title for a long time, but now it is officially official.

Can also employ more Indian aircrew, pilots and cabin crew. CECA says can.

Donald Trump met a cabinet of Indian ministers here.

do you think that sia is still one of the best airlines in the world?

SIA stands for Screwed by Indians Airline!

Like that if they rub away the S in SIA it becomes IA or India Airline how?

@10:44am //SIA is the important flag bearer of Singapore and would never close down, which was what the old man said, during the so-called pilot strike many many years ago//

You remembered wrongly. Old Fart said he would close down SIA & fire all the pilots ... create a totally new airline from the ground up. It is Changi Airport that he said must be protected & groomed.

Anyway S'pore is not like US. If the ahnehs think they can pull a fast one like the Starbucks case in US, they are sorely mistaken.

Maybe these complaining Indians should firstly ask themselves and address below in their own country:
1. Why the caste system is still so strong in India?
2. Why rich Northern Indians look down on poor Southern Indians?
3. Why most very wealthy Indians horde wealth for their families and don't donate to the poor and charities?
4. Why women are highly discriminated especially sexually?

If you think Sinkies are complaining type, wait until you experience the demands of rich Northern Indians. Welcome to 1.2 bln Indian world. Pappies have screwed Sinkies with CECA.

To the complaining honourable passenger. Please forgive our SIA cabin crew for the unintended rude attitude you got. They were overwhelmed with so many of your wonderful people on the plane when they were more used to seeing pearly whites and fairer Asians.

But if you feel you really have to sue, go ahead but I think it may be a heavy financial burden for you. Check around for the costs of legal action before suing to save yourself a lot of monetary problems. Costs are in Singapore dollars and not rupees.

From a well wisher.

The Victim Card

Pick one, or use both for extra "oomph". Then cry like the spineless snowflake fucking pussy-bitch you are. Listen mate, the rest of the fucking world doesn't give one flying shit about you or how you feel. If everyone is in the same bad situation together with you...it's not about YOU anymore.

I like SIA. What I like most about them is that they are punctual. Occasionally, they do run late, and occasionally planes (like all things mechanical) fail to operate

I've witnessed some doozies of passenger vs cabin crew too. I've seen more than one outburst from SINGAPOREANS accusing the crew of being RACIST because of their (apparent) preferred treatment and service to ang moh passengers. đŸ¤Ŗ😂

Someone should tell this Entitled Snowflake to fly Lion Air , and see if the Indonesians give a damn about his safety. 😜

All of that being said. The best thing we old fucks can do for the young and the future of the cuntry is to ensure they don't turn into easily triggered SNOWFLAKES like their western contemporaries

Therefore I urge bosses to incorporate The Snowflake Test (adapted to suit Singapore, of course) to weed out those whiney, world-owes-me-a-living, entitlement-minded, zero-responsibility, "I'm special" wasters of oxygen and protein. 😎

My anecdotal observations lead me to conclude that one of the tragic downsides of being such a wealthy society is that millennials aka Generation Snowflake grew up rich without having to struggle, such that they are entitle-minded now.

Lee Kuan Yew was right when he decided it was a good move to open up Singapore to toe to toe competition. Unfortunately, like most govt programs, they took it way too far...but the basic idea was correct. Once in awhile Sheeple need a reality check, and SHOCK is a great way to achieve this for the lowest cost 👍🏾

Dotard Trump has just announced (Jun 15) the imposition of 25% tariffs on US$50 billion worth of products from China, in order to punish the alleged theft of American intellectual properties.

The Dotard also threatened China that "additional tariffs" would be imposed if China were to counter with tariffs on American exports of goods and services to China.

Fair is foul and foul is fair. What is unfair then? Who decides on fair or unfair?

Without China producing cheap goods for USA MNCs like Apple, etc in past 20 years many market capitalization will still be worth below $100bln. Its profits that count and not raw trade numbers that matter.
Trump is shooting USA & the rest of world feet. Global trade flows and global supply chain production & sales centres make national trade deficits & surpluses quite meaningless.
Trump is representative of the green-eye Whites on the rise of China and Asia.

Is it superiority complex or inferiority complex which caused them to believe they were discriminated against based on their race? They themselves practise discrimination against their own race, to the extent of branding some of them Untouchables.
