PLA's 90th birthday

Below is a video on the massive PLA parade marking its 90th birthday. If China had such a military force in the early 1900s, it would not have been invaded by the foreigners and Japan. Any country still thinking of attacking China needs to think doubly hard on what they would be up against. Japan still harbouring the thought of conquering China?

China holds military parade to mark PLA 90th birthday 庆祝中国人民解放军建军90周年阅兵

The PLA 90th Anniversary Parade was held as a Display of the Prowess of the PLS Military.
Now they have the War Veteran of the Vietnam skirmish General to be the.Chief Of All Staff.

This comes after the Black Ants provocation as instigated by the Americans when Moody met DT.

The Chinese is now telling.the Rest of the World that any provocation will be met with force
We have had been humiliated too long and too much.DONT think we are sick Cats

They are all in Battle Fatigue unlike those still in Ceremonial Toys Soldiers Display.

Daily repeat footage of the Nanjing Slaughter be shown everyday to stir the anger and spirit of their people.

They be like Chain Beasts eyeing for Blood. Let the Black Ants be the the first to taste their Fire And Fury as you never seen before by the Great DT

But this DT just Hot Air. They don't meant business just crying wolf wolf every time.

Chinese don't cry wolf but they will.cry HOOT Ah!

The Cunningness of Linking Diabetes To Sugar Intake So As To Impose New Tax

As early as Secondary I, when I was introduced to Health Science, my teacher and the school text book taught me that when sugar enters our body, it turns into carbohydrate; and when carbohydrate enters our body, it turns into sugar. Since when have these metabolism processes changed? Has any scientist or pediatrician refuted such teachings? As far as I know, none! So, carbohydrate is the main culprit that cause diabetes, is it not?

Later, when I was in Pre-University, I found out that low blood glucose (Hypoglycemia) can also severely affect our body, not only high blood glucose (Hyperglycemia). While high blood glucose may lead to diabetes, an acute lack of glucose can cause instant death. So, the key to good health is balance. Not reduction nor deprivation of glucose to our body.

Diabetes is not caused by sugar. It is caused by glucose. Most of the glucose in our body come from carbohydrates - bread, rice, biscuits, wheat products, flour products, etc.

Yes, if you have diabetes, your urine is high in glucose (not sugar).

Linking sugar to diabetes is just an excuse to impose sugar tax on soft drinks, which are now priced almost the same as bottled water, because of the 30% in crease in water tax across the board.

Sorry, RB, for being off-topic. Hope you don't mind, because this information must be set straight for daft Sinkies.

Sign of desperation for money, so everything also want to tax, two times, 3 times and several times. Don't forget GST is taxing everything several times. Now it is all about multi layer of taxes for the same item.

How many times is water being taxed?

Kindly refer to Govt websites on the correct causes of Diabetes:
https://www.healthhub.sg/a-z/diseases-and-conditions/626/diabetes

"Diabetes is not caused by sugar. It is caused by glucose."

This is partially correct.
Correct one is :
"Diabetes is a condition in which the body produces insufficient insulin, a hormone that keeps the blood sugar level balanced, or the body does not respond properly to insulin, resulting in a high amount of sugar in the blood. "

Fallacy of Conveniently Using the Term Blood-Sugar to replace the Term Blood-Glucose in order to Attract Attention of Those Who Are Unaware.

First, there is no such thing as blood sugar. Everything from sugar and carbohydrates, after going through metabolism in the body, turn into glucose.
The correct term to use is blood glucose, not blood sugar. This is a misnomer. The two terms are not inter-changeable. Sugar is not the same as glucose, though both taste sweet like honey.

Second, don't simply take the words of govt website at face value. If you have studied Health Science, you would know this FACT.

Please refer to my detailed article on this subject at this link:

https://speakingwithyourheart.blogspot.sg/

I have researched not only the MOH website, but also other Health Authorities in the world, such as UK, US, WHO and other independent sites.

Even the Straits Times reported that Rice is worse than sugary food and drinks; check here:

http://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/health/diabetes-the-rice-you-eat-is-worse-than-sugary-drinks

Glucose, fructose etc are simpler forms of sugar. Our body will digest and breakdown carbohydrate and other compound sugar to simpler forms for absorption into the system.

Glucose is not the cause of diabetes but a result of low insulin due to body not producing enough to regulate the amount of sugar in the blood. It is the symptom.

It is the lack of insulin that causes diabetes, a disease when there is excess of sugar in the blood. Insulin, or the lack of it is the cause of diabetes, not sugar or glucose. The lack of insulin is not caused by eating too much sugar.

Anonymous said...

It also mean that after the sugar tax, the next tax will be a rice tax follow by a glucose tax

Diabetes is a metabolism sickness. It is caused by the failure of the whole metabolism process. There is no single cause, be it insulin, glucose or sugar.

It is one thing that leads to another - a confluence of breakdowns, malfunctions or weakness in the bodily functions.

The main thing is either the body cells become resistent to insulin, or the pancreas fail to produce insulin. It is like a baby refused to drink milk or the milk factory is unable to produce milk. So, the fault lies either with the body cells or the pancreas. Not insulin, nor glucose nor sugar.

Scientists still cannot agree on a single cause for diabetes. Some say this. Some say that. But in order to introduce sugar tax, many countries attributed the cause to intake of sugar. Therefore, you see govt websites talked so much about blood-sugar (could also mean blood-sucker?) and you hear politicians talk about sugar (or sucker?).

Until today, scientists are not able to find a cure for diabetes. Why? The doctors are merely treating the symptoms not the cause. Becsuse scientists are not sble to pin-point the cause.

The focus should be on why the pancreas malfunction and why the body cells become resistant to insulin.

If you want more details, go read my article on this subject.

India Chickened Out On Fears Of China's Military

Bhutan Monday, 28 August, 2017

India has withdrawn troops from a disputed Himalayan border area on Monday. The move comes after China appointed General Li Zuocheng, a decorated war veteran who fought in the 1979 Sino-Vietnamese war, to head its military nerve centre.

Dragonfly is correct. It is failure of our body to breakdown carbo resulting is high sugar (or glucose) left in the bloodstream. Sugar is one of many contributors like rice, bread etc. Reason for pushing all blames to sugar is because of tax.

Rice is a staple for most Orientals for many thousand years since they learnt to cultivate it.
However, Medical Science has recently claims that its high Carbohydrate is causes for health problems.
Thought Orientals would have by now 'evolved' to
accept rice like fish to water.

Btw, how about Diabetes Rate in Non-rice eating Countries.
And what about Races with sweet taste loving palate, are there more cases of Diabetes with them?

Researchers Announce Nuclear Fusion Breakthrough
----------------------------------
For years nuclear fusion was the stuff of sci-fi books and movies, but technology has brought it, like so many other things, closer to reality.

So close, in fact, that there are plans to build the first nuclear fusion reactor by 2025
- a reactor that could yield a lot more energy than is fed into it and provide vast amounts of clean, sustainable energy.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Can somebody please tell our pro nuclear Action Party that fusion energy has arrived.

Can they please stop spending our money on their proposed Thorium nuclear energy for Singapore project.

How does income matters to the High Rate of Diabetes in Malaysia?

Has Race got anything to do with Diabetes?

Embracing A Multipolar World Order: How Rodrigo Duterte Is Revolutionizing The Philippines
-------------------------

With the victory of Rodrigo Duterte in May 2016, many anticipated a major change in Manila's relations with such countries as the United States and China.

The Philippines has always enjoyed a privileged role in the containment strategy directed by Washington against the People's Republic of China.

Since the very beginning of Duterte’s presidency, and especially during Obama's final months in office, Duterte displayed his disappointment with the United States’ use of the Philippines as a bulwark against Chinese expansion in the region.
Such a role is something that a pragmatic leader like Duterte, with the interests of his nation at heart, would never accept to adopt.

Manila and Beijing are using a common approach to reach an agreement over disputed territories, with economic plans to jointly exploit the many resources in the area being an incentive to pursue negotiations.
With the alternative to cooperation, prosperity and dialogue being hostility, with the possibility of war, there is no other choice other than to cooperate to smooth out their differences.

In observing mandarin diplomacy, one will see that this is Beijing's primary strategic approach to all sorts of matters.
The Belt and Road Initiative is the ultimate expression of this approach, complemented by a series of infrastructure investments in countries involved in the project that will significantly improve living conditions of their citizens.

Duterte seems to have understood, probably better than any other leader of the multipolar international order, the opportunity to counterbalance American influence in the region through Chinese investments.

In addition, asking Moscow for some help in tackling the Mindanao terror crisis could be crucial in the future. All these factors seem to have greatly strengthened Duterte’s position and that of Manila on the Asian chessboard, granting a degree of independence that has not been enjoyed over the past decade in the Philippines.

Reserved For Malay Presidential Election 2017

PRIME Minister Lee Hsien Loong has issued the writ of election for next month's Presidential Election, with Nomination Day set for Wednesday, Sept 13.

The nomination centre is the auditorium of the People's Association Headquarters along King George's Avenue. If there are at least two nominated candidates for this election that's reserved for those from the Malay community, the Returning Officer Ng Wai Choong will declare Saturday, Sept 23 as Polling Day.

Applications for the Certificate of Eligibility and the Community Certificate must reach the Elections Department by 5 pm on Sept 4.

Applications for the political donation certificate must be submitted by 1pm on Sept 9. The election deposit payable by each candidate has been set at S$43,500.

Since Nomination Day will be on 13 Sep 2017, that means campaigning for the election cannot start before 13 Sep 2017. However, the Straits Times reported that last Wednesday, Madam Halimah Yacob had already launched her Presidential Campaign Website, detailing what she has been doing in her life, etc. Is this not a violation of the Election Rules, stating that no campaigning are allowed before Nomination Day?

My Incomplete Song

I've been thinking,
way too hard,
and i've been a wanderin'
way too far.
Searching the heavens,
for magical words
and a tune to sail my,
ship of thoughts.

I've been cooking now,
this stew of life,
And for a while now,
its been without my wife;
And I've been wondering how
If it really truly is
So damn hard to kowtow
to a snake that hiss.

Oh, won't something just pass me by,
good enough to make my guitar cry?
Or, won't somebody help me along,
and help me write my overdue song.

I've tried so many,
so many times,
But it always seems to
evade my mind.
It no good to eat
a half baked cake,
and no good to sing
my undone song.

But even as I say this,
I start to wonder.
I start re-thinking,
all over and over.
Have I just proven ...
myself wrong?
Have I just written ...
my over due song?

Oh, won't something just pass me by,
good enough to make my guitar cry?
Or, won't somebody help me along,
and help me write my overdue song?

Japan harbouring thoughts of conquering China?

They are probably hoping that the US will do it for them and appoint them to rule over China. That is why they are sucking the US big stick despite having been given the 'fat boy' treatment.

Dream of the red chamber given the white treatment!
