Is a mule a horse or a donkey?

A mule is fathered by a male donkey and a female horse. And there is another permutation, a hinny is the offspring of a male horse and a female donkey. There is a distinction, a material distinction to have the cross breed known either as a mule or a hinny.

So is a mule/hinny a horse or a donkey? Using normal human convention, the offspring is normally referred to as of the same breed or lineage as the father. So if a father is a Chinese, Indian or Malay, the offspring will be known as a Chinese, Indian or Malay respectively. A mule should thus be called a donkey, to take the breed of the father.

And in the same manner, a hinny should be called a horse, to take the lineage of the father. In some ethnic groups, the lineage comes from the maternal side. So a mule would be called a horse and a hinny be called a donkey. Very flexible cultural practices.

No one bothers to ask a mule or hinny what they are or what they would like to be. Would a mule choose to be called a horse or a donkey, and likewise would a hinny choose to be called a horse or a donkey? What would they choose?

Under normal circumstances both would say anything also can. Can call them donkey, horse or mule or dinny, it does not matter. But when it does matter say there is a prize or a 5 year supply of the best apple or carrot to be called a horse or a donkey, would the mule or hinny choose to be identified as a horse or a donkey?

Things are normally very simple until conditions are changed when there are benefits or disadvantages attached to it.

So, is a mule or hinny a horse or a donkey? Answer, it depends.

If the prize is meaningful, substantial, and will go to a donkey or a horse, not only mule or hinny would want to be called a donkey, all the horses would also want to be called a donkey or vice versa. Pragmatism anyone?

So, is a mule or hinny a horse or a donkey?
RB

But can the mule be a beast of burden by carrying and transporting goods and the farmer or not?

If can, why would the farmer care whether mule is horse or donkey?

Can a smart Sinkie make money in Sinkieland under PAP or not?

If can, why would the smart Sinkie care whether Sinkie President is Malay, Indian Malay or even Chinese or not?

May I say the Genetic Make-up defines the Ethnicity of beings.
But,
there are exceptions whence emotions are involved.
Humans are emotional beings, they do identify themselves according to their feelings.

Some humans are attach to love, wealth, beauty, addiction and other criterias.

lt is because of emotion that it makes being good, evil, erratic and great etc.

lt is good that evil allows us the Ability to see and define the Goodness.

Cheers.

The rule in constitution insisted a Malay to be president is a backward moving rule. It is a rule to draw attention on skin color, religion, taste, and dressing difference to make or to break as presidential candidate. This rule will retard sinkies progress as a nation by dividing loyalty. Loyalty to race vs loyalty to flag.

There are regression and backwards decisions among the politicians on alarming counts. South China sea issue this year vs last year was a 360 degree U turn. Abolishing Malay race special privileges was done long ago. Now the son put it back for future generations to fight over race issue again.

These U turns on major policies is a sign of weakness in decision making. TCB even is allowed to stand based on old rules, may still has 50% chance to win, when face up with the Pap Malay candidate. The politicians are weak to take competition. Fear of competition is now the weakness in Pap.

Sinkieland s overall situation is rotting fast in coming years like rotten papaya.
1. HK is eying to join CAFTA to gain equal status as Sinkieland to represent China s free port version in Asean. Once that is done, 1R1B financial services will fall upon HK in Asean market. This is made worst with a Malay president in Sinkieland which is so different from HK when Chinese firms go for IPO. When Saudi king looking for stock exchange for his oil firm IPO, he visited HK exchange, never landed in Sinkieland but he visited Najib. In other words, Sinkieland is neither muslim country nor open free country. This is a big curse in future in marketing image.
2. China s projects in Malaysia coastal areas will be ready in 4 to 5 years with their efficiency. The problems will be shrinking cargo trade. Sinkieland wants to claim it has control over the Malacca sea straits will be remote. The China men control the flows. The Indonesia flying Su35 has further control on their side of land.
3. Changi is the famous US base known to China Chinese to contain China. Tourist streaming to Sinkieland is a fantasy. Tourist having long queue at KL airport is the reality now. The future for Sinkieland to play race politics now is hurting unity called it a nation: no money to make, high rental to pay, yet talk about Malay vs Chinese internally. When US gets into war with Kim NK, Changi is the choice target obviously. Kim warned US of missile strike anytime at Guam. Sinkiesland s flip flop is not helping sinkies trade with China. It may also hurt sinkies when NK missile simply fly onto Changi port. One strike is enough to scare away the 2.5 millions foreigners living here. Many IT positions and civil services positions will have chairs only. Politicians still dream of White papers to get in foreigners should be voted out completely. The party can save sinkieland is not Pap. This picture is getting clear. Pap is "meesiam mai hum": reflecting a buyer has never bought food in the real market that existed for 50 years. The market has no such meesiam. Pap is making racist policy far from reality wants it to be. Voters still want to vote for pap candidate?

We have to give some representation to the Malayo-austronesian race in things that are symbolic like the presidency. Thus preserving meritocracy which is advantageous for us in things that do matter like in university admissions.(higher IQ)

The thing about Malay culture is that Islam is the most important factor in defining identity. Hence, a malay/indian who is muslim will be considered Malay. But a pure malayo austronesian pinoy who is christian will not be considered Malay. We cannot look at biological race without looking at the religious aspect.

Well said.

However, the battle cannot be fought here or within the cyberspace because most Sinkies do not read RB's blog, nor all the other blogs and alternative news outlets.

The battle must be fought on the ground. A lot of ground works have to be done. Strategies must be changed. More helpers and supporters must be recruited, and so on and so forth.

Under present circumstances, only Divine Intervention can help. That day may come sooner than later.

What has said was deduction of future sinkies difficult position made worst by the meesiam mai hum decision makers. Policy makers flip flop on race issue is hurting human living here with skin.
The momentum will take effect gradually dividing this smaller than NY city. The rule divides also those Indians Pakistan muslims living at gelang, of course born here: are they non malays?

Forum for exchanging idea is not ground, neither battle ground.
Battle ground needs warriors. Not all are warriors. CSJ is one but he lacks the crowd pulling charms. LTK is warrior but he was tamed and was scared when asked if he could be pm. The balance are kalefare warriors coming in when GE exists. WP do have a pool of small group technocrat potential mp. The lack the time factor to let voters young and old recognizing them as politicians by career.

It is a good sign to opposition that Pap is moving backwards. The son will lead it to muddy land with another 10 years under his leedership. Its something you called Divine I call it cause and effect relationship. Opposition warriors will have to surround troops trapped in muddy land. LTK does not want it too soon, and CSJ wants it now. Voters are the disappointed lots. So the % of Pap losing ground is likely the same as 6% decline per GE.
This is the ground. Not work from these forumers but works from the cause and effect of ah loong san.

Sorry I do not agree. It is wrong to assume any forum as just for discussion of ideas. Anywhere where ideas meet, is the battleground for ideas. Ideas either win or lose the hearts and minds of the people. The more people engaged in the exchange of ideas the better for any society, therefore, for any organisation especially political parties.

Latest, Cyberspace is considered one of the most important, if not most important, battlegrounds. Since the Internet was invented, any war to be fought has to include Cyberspace into all other theatres of war, including Space. The one who can dominates the Cyberspace is King.

Russia and China have been quietly developing their capability to fight and dominate the Cyberspace. The US, ironically, has just woken up that they are lacking behind Russia and China in this aspect.

Keyboard warriors are also warriors! Especially in a political warfare, where winning the hearts and minds of the people are of paramount importance. And cyberspace has no age, race nor gender limits. The more keyboard warriors on your side, the better.

No prize to win, yet there is an author doing bloc and there are regulars providing sensible comments. What motivate them?
There is something to gain: ideas, how people think of the subject discussed by the author.

Will such a small exchange considered "battleground" and commentators "warriors"? Its similar to donkey is called horse. Harkaw is called Siewmai.

This bloc is non keyboard battleground because the commentators are focusing on reality to comment rationally.

For readers info, keyboard battles are those irrational randomly commented forums quarrel about issues. Common ones are those quarreling about Taiwan independence, accusing each other of being traitors. Go inside, one has to be ready to throw mud. Limited rational talk exist. Those are kids, they do have fun, running non stop daily.

Malays originally were not muslims. Islam and jihad were introduced from arabs somewhere in the 7 century to conquer and rule and enslave them. They killed them and turned the region islamic.

Well argued. However, it is only your own perspective. Not all-encompassing.

Happy National Day!
