PAP will get 75% in next GE

Some critics are saying that this PAP govt is looney. Look at the slate of increases in taxes, fees and more to come and how well they are received by the citizens and you will know how popular is this govt and how strong is the support from the people. After raising education fees, SC&C charges, water fees by 30%, transport fares going to be next and the most comprehensive tax of all, the GST, you can only expect more as the govt is so confident that the people will accept them as gratitude to the good and incorruptible govt and their good policies. It is ok if a few Singaporeans are unemployed, underemployed or forced to retire, they know that it is their faults for being so, unable to compete with the influx of highly talented foreigners, so they will happily go for retraining to take on less skill jobs.

What is important is that all of them would gratefully vote for the PAP in the next GE or in many more GE's to come. There is a very strong bond between the people and the govt. Some may question why 70% voted for the PAP in the last GE and still in shock, in disbelief. The Lee Kuan Yew effect was there and played a significant role to swing the votes. But what is more important and reliable is statistics.

By now 50% of the citizens are likely to be new citizens. This means 50% of the votes would go to the PAP from the new citizens. The balance of 50% could be divided into 50:50, for and against the PAP, ie 30% hard core and 20% swing votes. This would give the PAP another 25% of the votes to make it 75%. It was 70% in the last GE which was an indication that the full impact of foreigners turned new citizens was not enough and there was still a bigger swing votes for the opposition or against the PAP.

By the next GE in 2020 you can expect the new citizens, I don't use the word Singaporeans as it would put the original Singaporeans together with the new Singaporeans in one group, and very misleading. The new citizens are very appreciative of the good life given to them by the PAP, citizenship, cheap housing and good jobs that they could never find anywhere else, definitely not in their God forsaken home countries. And somehow their talents got raised to an unbelieverable level, all better than daft Singaporeans. How would they not vote for their benefactor, the PAP?

With the number of new citizens still increasing rapidly, the 75% votes for the PAP is a given in 2020. No amount of rallies and convincing arguments could change the statistical advantage of the PAP. More new citizens would mean more votes for the PAP. When more than 50% of the population is new citizens, translated to guaranteed votes, the battle is over before it even started.

Now you know why despite all the big increases and the cock thinking 30% water fee hike the PAP is still confident of winning the next GE hands down? And now do you know why there is no public protest for all the hikes? The original Singaporeans are now a minority and have resigned to their fate. Their only choice is to migrate or to be downtrodden by the new talents from little unknown villages. There is nothing they can do now. The PAP is double confirmed to rule till SG100.

Do not under estimate the power of mathematics and the magic of mathematicians.

The State of Opposition Politicians and Opposition Politics in Singapore - Part 2

Winning Hearts an Minds - Look Beyond 70%

Introduction

Some quarters have been banging and blaming on the 70% (to be precise, 69.86%) of Sinkies who had cast their pearls to swines. They think, say, blame and curse the 70% all the time - calling them idiots, morons, kiasi's, kiasu's, loyalists, patriots, die-hards, whatever.

Five Main Groups of Voters

My advice to them is: Look beyond the 70% or 30% because there are five main groups of voters in this world, namely:

1. The Stubborn

We all know that in the human world, there are many people who are really afraid of change - be it change of job, change of place of residence, change of girl- or boy-friend, change of wife/husband, change of established routine habits, or change of government. No matter how you can persuade or try to influence their thinking and decision, they will not budge. They are just like that - stubborn. There is no way you can change them. These people are similar to the frog living in a pot of hot boiling water - that keeps increasing its temperature, bit by bit, until it reaches boiling point - then either the frogs are boiled to death or the pot explodes. This group represents about 30% of human genes.

2. The Fickle

On the other extreme, there is this group who are very fickle-minded. They tend to change decisions like changing underwears. They simply cannot make a definite decision. They are unable to say a definite yes or no. They will temporarily say something to you, even as a promise, but only to regret it later and then come running to you to apologise for making a wrong decision. This group loves change. They love to change and change again and again, keeping their friends and foes guessing and in suspense all the time. They are sometimes called "The Imposible" - impossible to persuade. You can talk to them until the cows come home; and finally they will agree with you because they only wish that you just shup up. Even though they agreed with you, it does not mean they will follow exactly what you want them to do. They will do the opposite but will not let you know it. This group represents about 20% of human genes.

3. The Devil's Advocate

There is another group of people who also love change, but they are not fickle. They take upon themselves as the 'Devil's Advocate'. They like to oppose for the sake of opposing. This group is invaluable to any civilization, any culture, any country (e.g. central intelliegnce agency, security and intelligence division), any society (e.g. opposition political parties), any organisation (e.g. market intelligence, military intelligence, R&D) and any family (the maverick in the family). They are the people who see things from a totally different perspective, which is what we say "thinking out of the box". In all civilizations, this is the group of people who lead the rest out of troubles, out of disasters, out of castastrophies, out of the wilderness, and out of near extinction. Their minds will never rest until they can find an alternative answer to the problem at hand, a better solution for the benefits of mankind and man-unkind alike. They are the artists, architects, creators, innovators, inventors, trouble-makers and the challengers and champions of tomorrow, even if tomorrow never come. This group represents about 10% of human genes.

Well, there is nothing permanent in life. They can play with the new immigrants card but one day it will hit the wall and backfire. Look at Rome, it was so powerful for hundreds of years but it crumbled eventually. Dynasties in China will rise and fall. The difference is the timeline involved.

Winning Hearts an Minds - Look Beyond 70% Continues:

4. The Fence Sitter

This is a another group of people known as the fence-sitters. They come from all ages, all walks of life, all professions, all occupations, all religions, all races, all sexes, and all levels of society (from kings to beggars). This is a really complex group of human beans. However, they have one thing in common. They do not like to make decisions. They let others to decide for them, so much so if you tell them white is black, they will believe in you as long as you do the work or make the decision for them. Why are they so afraid of making a decision. It is becaue they are afraid of making a mistake. They just cannot take failure. So, if you are the one who makes the decision for them, then if something goes wrong, they still have not made a mistake because you are the one who made the decision, therefore you are the one to be blamed! It is never their fault; it is always someone else's fault. Ridiculous but true. This group represents about 30% of human genes.

5. The Neutral

The last group of people can be categorized as "The Neutral". They are very afraid of taking sides. No matter who they may perceive as the winner or loser, no matter how much you bribe them, no matter how you threaten them and no matter how you persuade them, they will still remain neutral and they will always abide by their neutrality. They believe in honesty, integrity, dignity, honor and up-rightness; and most important of all, they believe in not hurting anyone. They just want to be friends to all. They don't like making enemies. They are very loyal and will never betray you. They will always tell you that no one is perfect as their defence against any side that throw rotten eggs at them. They are the most trustworthy human genes whom one can depend on in this dog-eat-dog world. They make good followers but bad leaders, good religious leaders but bad merchants or businessmen; good civil servants but bad politicians. This group represents about 10% of human genes.

Conclusion

Irrespective of whether you are one of 30% or 70%, you will fall into one of the five groups. So, honestly, which group do you belong?

If you are an Opposition politician, activist, supporter or sympathizer, make your calculations and strategies on how to influence as many of the five groups to your side as possible. If you can do that, I believe the tortoise will eventually win the race.

Likewise, if you are the Ruling Party, you should have already known how to influence and manipulate the five groups. That could be one of the reasons why you have been winning all the time (but I believe there is another reason).

There is a high probability that the whites PAPies will win in the next general election. The opposition hammer party is in trouble to keep its own GRC and even Hougang ward, this could be due to the influx of new citizens who r grateful to the PAPies. But for how long that the PAPies can go on to rule this tiny red dot island - no one knows. When the outside world is changing, here this tiny island still remain status quo, one has to find it strange & perhaps the 1st world nations will come here to study the political climate here. Sinkies need to decide for their own future & for generations to come in the next GE. Already there is an exodus of Sinkies talented pool going to greener pastures, what's left r the low-mid income Sinkies who r stuck in the rut. Sinkies need a new shakers to come out of the old system as wat GY had said earlier...

Just to add on, there is another group categorization during old fart times & this group is the biggest of all, they r

#6 the die-hard all weather with no hides stuck in their spine ( or spineless creatures), no matter how u reason with them or how they r being tortured or tagan they will vote for PAPies--they r the DAFT Sinkies --they r "stupidity is no medicine to cure"

/// What is important is that all of them would gratefully vote for the PAP in the next GE or in many more GE's to come. There is a very strong bond between the people and the govt. ///

There are only two types of Singaporean voters:
- too scared to change government type
- too stupid to change government type

Do you think the bond between PAPaya and Singaporeans is the master-slave type of bond?

"By now 50% of the citizens are likely to be new citizens. This means 50% of the votes would go to the PAP from the new citizens. The balance of 50% could be divided into 50:50,"

75% is not high from the author s calculation. I think it should be: new citizens 100% support pap. Born citizens: 90% support pap. so the total support is 90%. I hope pap can beat saddam hussien s record 99.99%. There is no reason pap will win 99%, not 90% and not 75.
Voters love the taste of doing NS at 400pm. They never complain family expenses not enough, saving not enough for going to university. That means voters are satisfied with NS sons salaries. The increases in 30% water tax is an orgasm. Better than having a good screw needing to take out the pants so troublesome.

More orgasms coming on the way, higher conservancy charges on top of recent increases, higher transport fare on top of last year increases, higher gst one go shoot to 15%, all these orgasm will make voters squirm. When they go to the poll station, their mind is pap can give best satisfaction without taking out the pants. I will vote for pap. I hope NS men are grateful for pap s free satisfactions, stop kakisong, vote for pap too. New citizens are a group of non NS men, we have to sort them out as they may need to be sent home if breaking the laws or screwing local girls under age. Pap just take them in to fill up the votes. This part i hope opposition can give me the promise to clean up the listings pap committed. Opposition will get my support if they promise this little thing only. Sori i also need new citizens to do NS for born NS men to do on volunteer basis. New citizens must do NS, no volunteer basis. Opposition, if u want to win the 1% chance out of 99% for pap, u better do hard work now.

/// With the number of new citizens still increasing rapidly, the 75% votes for the PAP is a given in 2020. ///

It's a fact that after 51 years since 1965;
the original Singaporeans are just too stupid or too scared to change government

So if redbean wants to see PAP voted out
- the only hope lies with the new citizens
- new citizens like HHH or even Catherine Lim
- who can see through the mental masturbation

Eventually, a new political party will emerge.
Founded and led by the new citizens to challenge PAPaya and their beholden cronies.

Let me tell all of you out there.

PAP is likely to get 79.99% at next GE!

Why?

Singapore is like that.

Kpkb and kpkb only.....come to voting.....PAP!

Anyway...PAP is too BIG to fail!

PAP is everywhere!

To lots of people.....PAP is everything! Already vested!

Everything is PAP? PAP is everything?

Think about it!

Cheers!

Already there is an exodus of Sinkies talented pool going to greener pastures, what's left r the low-mid income Sinkies who r stuck in the rut.

You are right.

My family of six children, four of them have already been staying in other countries for since 1989, 1990, 1992, 1995 - they left for their studies, then worked there and stayed there; only come back for Christmas, Chinese New Year and, most important of all, they come back to cast their votes once every 4/5 years.

And out of my 13 siblings' families, only 4 families still remain for one reason or another.

As for me, I am a free person. I come and go as I like. I can stay in any of my children's house whenever I feel like it. Singapore is my "Hotel California".

On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair
Warm smell of colitas, rising up through the air
Up ahead in the distance, I saw a shimmering light
My head grew heavy and my sight grew dim
I had to stop for the night
There she stood in the doorway;
I heard the mission bell
And I was thinking to myself,
"This could be Heaven or this could be Hell"
Then she lit up a candle and she showed me the way
There were voices down the corridor,
I thought I heard them say...

Welcome to the Hotel California
Such a lovely place (Such a lovely place)
Such a lovely face
Plenty of room at the Hotel California
Any time of year (Any time of year)
You can find it here

Her mind is Tiffany-twisted, she got the Mercedes bends
She got a lot of pretty, pretty boys she calls friends
How they dance in the courtyard, sweet summer sweat.
Some dance to remember, some dance to forget

So I called up the Captain,
"Please bring me my wine"
He said, "We haven't had that spirit here since nineteen sixty nine"
And still those voices are calling from far away,
Wake you up in the middle of the night
Just to hear them say...

Welcome to the Hotel California
Such a lovely place (Such a lovely place)
Such a lovely face
They livin' it up at the Hotel California
What a nice surprise (what a nice surprise)
Bring your alibis

Mirrors on the ceiling,
The pink champagne on ice
And she said "We are all just prisoners here, of our own device"
And in the master's chambers,
They gathered for the feast
They stab it with their steely knives,
But they just can't kill the beast

Last thing I remember, I was
Running for the door
I had to find the passage back
To the place I was before
"Relax, " said the night man,
"We are programmed to receive.
You can check-out any time you like,
But you can never leave! "

人在作,天在看

The new citizens, today the blessing of the PAP, would be the torn of the PAP in the future, and would bring it down when time is ripe.

Unfortunately the original Singaporeans will bear the brunt of the wrath of the new citizens. They would turn the country to their very own and would have the least respect and interest to appreciate that this island was once built by the original Singaporeans.

It's all about money.
Do you think Singapore & Singaporeans are just a mirror of the values of PAPaya's Founding Father - what's wrong with collecting more money?

The new citizens will challenge PAPaya when they find it in their interest to do so.
That's how you extract concessions from PAPaya.
They will learn from daft Sinkies.
You don't vote PAP first.
Then after the elections, go begging for concessions.
As the mother of a new citizen recently said: "Tan ku ku"

Yes. Yes. You vote Opposition first. Then we negotiate for concessions from the PAP.
This is called negotiating from a position of strength.

" I come and go as I like. I can stay in any of my children's house whenever I feel like it. Singapore is my "Hotel California"."

I hv pragmatic advise to readers who imagine this can also be their dreamed plan. With due respect to this author, i witnessed people with lots of pain managing children living overseas. I almost was one who live abroad and never came back. I held up the workable plan to see through my old folks. I thus belong to the old thinking type. U better skip now if u are new thinker.

There was someone staying at landed discussed with me similar situation, real of course. 3 children, 2 already settled in US. Left one to go or not. I told him frankly: try to persuade this kid to stay. I told him you and your wife will regret for asking this kid to join the siblings in US. Recently he told me his kid stays.

One couple I saw their only NS son lives in Aus. Only once the son came back with grand son during cny time. The old man was grinning, hardly see him grinning nowadays, living with his old wife.

While others can fly to US, Aus, Canada as they wish to visit their sons or daughters, i know very well, flying per trip cost around 5k to 10k, depending on what the person or persons bring along abroad to be filial to their sons or daughters.

One couple i knew initially was generous paying for the trips to canada. Later when meeting and chat, they told me such trips were self financing. The overseas sons could not afford to pay back the airtickets for the next trips. How long can such flying dream go on and on?

This is especially when the old folks are no long fit physically.

That is the reason when my friend asked me for opinion. I told him the frank opinion that he was lucky to have one kid still living with him. Better grab this chance or they would regret. The couple was grateful for my frank opinion.

Flying around is tiring to me. Flying to US is more a torture to me as i cannot afford first class tick to US. If going to canada now, there are so much clothings to bring along. Its not a breeze to travel, like going to HK so easy as the weather is so comfortable.

For those who plan to immigrate, do think of how they are brought up. This is the old thinking which prevented me from living in Aus. My only wish is to see pap being voted out. I think it is not an impossible tasks as the old but impotent opposition will be replaced by a new breeds of candidates well trained in laws and other professions to take on the army trained candidates. I see the results will be obvious, with so many mistakes made by the army trained politicians. Voters patient will run out. I will not run away as i still have xo not opened yet. The right time to open is when election falls into my favorite dream. I will cheers and cheers for the pap to go off without taking in another few millions of foreigners into this island.

Robots will be taking over most humans' occupation quite soon. Those jobs that required blind loyalty will be eliminated first by robots which can quickly learn their human skills. The loyalties will be very eager to passes their skills to the learning robots. I believe that 70% of our current Singaporeans are in the loyalties category. We still have hope in the new citizens that betrayed their countries to come here. As of the current status no robots can betray their master, we still got hope. It's take a betraying eunuch to bring down premier zhu ge Kong ming. Don't be worried pap will be brought down by the humans characteristic of betraying trait which currently cannot be learned by any robots. As more and more betraying foreign humans are imported, the faster the pap will be trashed.

Unkol, u r right - we dunno the current genetic makeup of this current batches of the prc DNA. These new citizens could be the descendents of the Chinese 1st Emperor or some provinces of Chinses aggressive states or clan ( probably descendents of Jin or Kublai Khan, some others have Manchu origins, some mixed with Japs/korean origins, some hv betrayal or revolution traits)to control or tame these people during an economic crises is no difficult as can be seen in 2013 Dec little India riot, Smrt bus drivers strike etc..the ruling Papies will have a hard time trying to undo the system that they once implanted & its chance of approaching to a mob or riot is very real & near ( there r signs & symptom b4 a collapse set in)..

Matilah_Singapura here. (locked out of Google cos' VPN connection from Estonia was deemed "suspicious". Oh well.)

1. The PAP only need to get 51% to govern. That would be such a fucked up situation for them---an 18-19% swing against them. Yes, certainly possible, but IMO highly improbable.

2. A cuntry's POLITICS comes out from the CULTURE. I've been spruicking this for years, but thankfully (for me---because I can plan and profit) no one believes me, which makes them act wrongly, and suffer losses. Losses caused "problems" which present oppotunities. I like that.

3. In a cuntry where people can pay $5000 per sq ft for space, and $90k + for COE, Singaporeans eventually DON'T CARE about shit being expensive. Eventually, after complaining and whinging for awhile, they will JUST PAY.

4. The PAP are the foremost ex-spurts in manipulating The Sheeple and getting things done effectively---regardless of whether The Sheeple approve or not. This is precisely why we are a republic and NOT a "democracy" as many have been fooled to believe. What is the difference, you might ask?

In a REPUBLIC, the govt is chosen by some means (in Singapore by elections), and the govt comprises "representartives" chosen by said electoral process. Yes, the process IS democraTIC, but Singapore is not a democracy, of the DIRECT kind.

Once you choose said representatives, you have no more say (unless asked), and you are required to leave these MPs alone to govern by their own conscience and ability (or LACK thereof).

The PAP are the party with most of tjhe characteristics of the (asshole) culture of Singapore. They are typical, dyed-in-the-wool Singaporeans.

If they don't deviate, chances are they will govern Singapore for a very long, long time.

What's more, the PAP control the ground and they know it.

100 people turned up to Hong Lim last week to protest water price hikes.

The good doctor who spoke is well-intended. Unfortunately he doesn't understand or refuses to understand the "quirks" of Singapore culture. For e.g.:

Attempts at "guilt-tripping" are apt to fail

i.e. If you start playing "bleeding heart violin" and try to guilt people into being "altruistic" to the poor, people---ie. hard working, and generaLLY STRESSED AND TIRED PEOPLE---will fucking depise you and TUNE OUT

Why?

In their minds they are doing "the right thing" by working hard and giving their families good lives. So...

"If you are poor it means you're not doing what is required, and letting you family down...fuck you for trying to 'guilt-trip' me! You die, your business lah!!" This is the way people here think lah. Hong Lim Speakers' Corner oundits, TAKE NOTE!

You must change your style of COMMUNICATION to get thru to Singaporeans. They are a "special kind" of human. That is why we do certain things "our way" in Singapore which you won't fnd anywhere else. Communicating in Singapore is much the same. It is an ART, more than a science.
