The dying of a human specie called Singaporean

The true blue Singaporeans are going to disappear from this island in a matter of time. And no, it is not that they are being ousted out by the foreigners. And it is not because they are not working hard enough, not trying hard enough. They are trying very hard to be the best, investing a lot on the young with the ‘best’ education they could buy. They forgot that education is the training of the mind, to acquire knowledge and how to use the brain to apply the knowledge acquired, or at least to think. They believed that parroting or gaming the system is good education. Get a good score, anyhow, by whatever means, is the goal of education. Mugging, go through all the standard questions, know the exam questions and know the answers, buy the results, get the tuition teachers to provide model answers and viola, straight As!

The gaming to get high rankings for tertiary institutions falls into the same pattern. University education is not the teaching and training of the minds of the undergrads, but about getting high rankings for the universities, bring in all the foreigners if necessary, the lecturers and students can all be foreigners, never mind. The goal is the high rankings.

Now where was I? Oh the extinction of the Singaporean specie, the true blue ones. Today’s first page news in the Newpaper reported how angry parents were when their children could not answer a PSLE question. What is the problem? The maths question too difficult? Not like that. The question is a commonsensical question, but not found in any model answers. The question is not taught in class or by the tuition teachers or the parents themselves. What does it mean? It simply means that the children would not know anything they is not taught. Yes, the chicken comes from the supermarket, got no feathers.

Now what is this outrageous question? Guess the weight of 6 one dollar coins. And this is multiple choice question with 3 answers provided to make a good guess, 60gm, 600gm and 6kg, which is the right answer or nearest to the right answer? The students drew a blank. The parents were furious, went mad and in a way challenged the MOE for setting a question that could not be found in any past exam questions. This question is as good as asking the students the colour of the sun with answers like black, blue and orange as possible answers. And bet you, the children will cry to their mama and papa, never heard of such question, how to answer? They would not try to figure it out. They are not taught to figure things out when in a fix and facing a new situation. Their minds will go swirling and swirling to find an answer stored in the memory. Can’t find it there means no answer, cannot answer, dunno how to answer.

Is this how we train our young, to memorise answers, memorise scripts? Anything not taught they would not know how to react? Life is about the unknowns and the surprises and the many things not in the text books.

At the way our children are taught to ace examinations by gaming, they would soon end up as biological robots, waiting for input in order to produce outputs. No input means no output. How are they going to survive in the real world? Soon they may not know how to eat, what to eat other than the hamburgers bought from MacDonald by papa and mama. Did MOE forget to teach them how to make babies? Maybe that is the reason why fertility rate is so low.

How to compete with the survivors from the rough and tough world that have to learn to live with whatever problems in their way, to overcome them by any means?

What do you think?
PS. The older generations used to bring a dice to the examination hall and if they could not think of an answer, at least they would throw the dice and hoped for lady luck. They would still do something to make the best out of a bad situation. The last thing they would do is go crying to papa and mama. They grew up earlier, learning to survive in the uncertain world.

What we are trying to do with our education system is to instil robotic thinking.

Our university rankings are no better than football clubs, buying the best players and coaches in order to reach the top. And they will fail once they cannot get the top talents to hold them up.

What kind of students will our universities turn out? Nothing but robots that cannot think by themselves and still need human imputs to solve problems. A higher education in name that provides them with little direction in thinking out of the box. And they have been talking about developing minds to think out of the box for decades. How far have we succeeded?

Now you know why PMEs accepted being kicked out when they were told they were no good, no skill sets, when their replacement were probably worse off than them?

And this acceptance that our PMEs and Sinkies in general are dull and untalented has also been accepted by many decision and policy makers. They too believe the foreigners are good and Sinkies are bad.

If the PLSE students are not sure of the answer, don't need a dice.

Not to worry! Not to worry!

They use the "tee-tee-too-too" method to get the "correct" answer!

It is just that simple.

Cheers.

Today's student will say this question not used before, cannot be used leh. Not fair. They would not tee tee too too also.

If our ministers/mp's can use the 'kee chiu' method, it must be the best method.

Any idiot will know the answer is 60gm. Therefore Sinkies are now worse than idiots.

Come on, any kid playing with weights during science class/lab will have a good feel of how fucking light 1gm is, how heavy 10gm or 100gm is, and how fucking ridiculous to have a 1kg 1-dollar coin.

Another way is to remember how heavy a can of soft drink is. Will 6 1-dollar coins be heavier than 1 can?? BTW 1 can typically is 384ml or 384gm.

Maybe they no longer play around with physical stuff like weights, pulleys, ball bearings, levers, dissected cockroaches, frogs, rats, rabbits, test tubes, Bunsen burners, chemicals, etc. When I was in Pri school 35 yrs ago, we maintained a vegetable garden, kept a pond with frogs, toads, fishes, terrapins, raised chickens & rabbits, and did things like making our own home-made fire extinguishers.

Hahahahahahaha.

Not only primary school Sinkies don't know how to think and choose the right answer for 6 one dollar coins,

adult Sinkies also don't know how to think and make the Sinkie opposition strong and ready to be govt to replace PAP.

And as result, majority (70%) adult Sinkies can only think and choose PAP as the lesser of 2 evils every election. Sad but also true PAP is the lesser of 2 evils, due to Sinkies for not being able to think and do, and so they deserve what they choose.

Is it true?

Only PAP citizens are true blue Singaporeans.
The rest of people in Singapore are just digits.
To be sacrificed for the greater good of PAP.

So long it achieves the desired outcome according to the gospel of Papism. 70% are okay with it what, easier to herd the shepies to the slaughter house. Ownself check ownself is the best way to propagate the PAP gospel.

Most democratic (capitalism) gov in this world are trying to dilute the pool of their voters so that it is easier to maintain central control since it is easier to maintain a smaller pool of voters. Thats why they all want immigrants. Immigrants have no voting right.

Poor PSLE pupils who could not answer this question. It is not fair on them. How do you expect PSLE pupils to know the right answer. Of course, 6 X $1 MUST weigh 6 kg. Those who think that 60g is the right answer must be idiots. I am sure there are very few of those in Singapore.

I agree with Anon 9.09. The correct answer is 6 kg because our $1 coin is as big as the bullock cart. Wonder any of the kids gave this answer under stress.

About time too. The "true blue" Singaporean is full of shitty bad ideas. BTW, is there any way we can kill off these fuckers any sooner?

A new, more "relevant breed" (culturally speaking) of Singaporean means different govt, different politics, society and economics. The past was great. Time to let the old die off, with their BAD ideas and the new to come in with NEW ideas---many of which will FAIL, but not to worry, the SOCIAL EXPERIMENT must continue with fresh blood.

Present cultural Singaporeans (as demonstrated by the interactions with the MoE materials) have no fucking clue. To them a "good education" is to achieve 100% answers to the exam. If you give the wrong answer, that means you are a "failure" or "stupid".

So the society has got to a stage where people who have "good education because they did well in the exam" kena wallop in the job market by fuckers with no or little education who've made LOTS OF MISTAKES but learned important concepts from those errors.

Buggers who have been 'educated' have spent years and tens of thousands on university, so much so they think that they are ENTITLED to a job. Whahahahahahhah....😂😂

I ask myself, how can such highly educated people be so STUPID? I have no answer. But the evidence is out there...bang balls, make noise, kena bang by some "immigrant" who has street smarts and GRIT.

End of the true blue Singaporean is CREATIVE DESTRUCTION at work! 👏👊👍
