Hong Kong unplugged

The Hongkies have their first victory with their Occupy Central movement. The huge turnout looks menacing. The world, especially the China doomsayers, are clapping their hands. China is in real trouble. An editorial from New York Times reposted in the Today paper said Xi Jinping is running out of options. In other words China could do nothing about it.

This last vestige of Western Imperialism, a stark reminder of China’s humiliating past, is slapping China in the face all over again. From the western lens, checkmate! Actually the best thing for China is to do nothing. Declare a golden week for Hong Kong, in fact a golden month, or a golden year.

While Singapore, a twin city of Hong Kong’s likeness, has the Southeast Asia and the whole world as its hinterland, Hong Kong practically has China and is solely dependent on China for all its needs and economic growth. When China unplugged itself from the Hong Kong economy, Hong Kong would be like a piece of driftwood without an anchor. It would be worst than a sampan.

The mass civil disobedience in Hong Kong is a golden opportunity for China to do what it wanted to do for a long time. The plan to let Hong Kong receded into the peripheral of the Chinese economy and main stream activities could be pulled out from the bottom drawer and receive a good dusting.

Shanghai has always been China’s top priority as the financial centre, not Hong Kong. China needed Hong Kong and world opinion to look good, and the stability to grow its economy. That stage has passed. Shanghai has been waiting as the bridesmaid and ready to take centre stage. All the economic and commercial activities in Hong Kong can be transferred to Shanghai and other cities. Shenzhen as the southern economic hub could run on its own without Hong Kong.

It is time that Hong Kong fades into the wilderness and other Chinese cities emerged to rival and prosper over Hong Kong. Hong Kong’s usefulness as the commercial hub of China can no longer hold China to ransom. Hong Kong is dispensable today.

Good bye Hong Kong. It will be confined to its rightful place as a colonial cantonment in history. China today does not need Hong Kong but will keep Hong Kong as one of its cities, maybe relegated to a second tier city. Life will go on without Hong Kong. Hong Kong can enjoy its autonomy and democracy without interference from the central govt, but remain a second tier city in China.

Even a Chinese patriot like Veritas do not align with PRC as much. And I am always being accuse of Chinese nationalist.

It is not whether PRC may consider allowing HK to fade. It is the interest of PRC of doing so and they are doing it now.

The most important China colonial land is

1) Manchuria
2) Shanghai
3) HK
4) Taiwan

During Japanese time, Manchuria was the most prosperous and industrialize region in China. Products included aircraft, automobiles and trucks, blankets, boots, bread and flour, bricks, candies and foods, carpets, raw cellulose, cement, dyes and inks, electrical devices, fabric, farm equipment, glass, industrial paint, industrial paper, liquor and beer, locomotive manufacturing and repair and related railway industries, milk and cheese, mining equipment, munitions processed leather products, rubber articles, soy and other processed foods, vegetable oil, hand and heavy weapons, etc.

The Japanese constructed 6,500 kilometers (4,000 mi) of roads. They also founded a local airline.

In 1935 Manchukuo contained 8,500 kilometers (5,300 mi) of active railways.

When PRC took over Manchuria, she deliberately allow Manchuria to lose out to the rest of China. Manchuria at that time could secede from China and she has a pro-USSR party boss named Gao Gang.

Gao was eventually purged and he committed suicide.

In addition, PRC make Manchuria subsidize the entire China with their cheap oil. The talent from Manchuria was spread all over China.

The result is today, Manchuria lost their prestige and still not yet recover.

To thwart HK independence sentiment, the PRC must make HK lost their prestige, pride and economy hegemony. The best tool now is HK blood sucking tycoon.

HK can only get rid of the fucking elites to advance but under the current status quo, they are impossible. HK people is fighting back.

But PRC is shooting her legs because now Taiwan is watching with wary.

The anger of HK people is why they prosper under British but when PRC take over, HK is becoming a shit hole. Then many people pointed to Shanghai and tell HK people that now PRC got shanghai and threaten HK that if HK people still so agitated, they will lost out.

But HK people already lost out due to the shit policy of PRC.

Then people begin to remember how good UK is?

Why is UK better than PRC?

The Chinese must self introspect.

And also PRC always blame HK people for sucking imperialist cock.

PRC never think that the a lot of HK people are "reactionaries" element flee from China. The British shelter and and make them prosper.

Meanwhile, these HK Chinese see their relatives rapes and shot during events like land reform, cultural revolution. In Great Leap Forward, 30 millions were starve to death in PRC, including the parent of HK Nobel Prize winner Dr Daniel Tsui.

"If I hadn't left China...my parents wouldn't have died," Tsui told a reporter in tears when he returned to China after winning the Nobel prize.

Tsui's Nobel award is a source of great pride for his hometown of Baofeng. In 2003, the county government even rebuilt his house into a memorial hall, but Tsui has never returned there to visit though he has traveled to China several times. Baofeng's leaders have visited Beijing twice to meet Tsui and invited him to return, but Tsui has not as yet taken them up on the invitation.

"I feel that the reason why he hasn't returned to his hometown is because it holds bad memories for him," said Wang Daren, Tsui's nephew. Wang said Tsui's father starved to death during the Great Leap Forward – the social and economic campaign aimed at transforming the largely agrarian Chinese economy into a communist state through rapid industrialization and collectivization, which led to the death of tens of millions of Chinese from famine between 1958-1961.

While HK still has some freedom left, better to use it, fight for it, if don't use it, will lose it, just like in Singapore, where the only freedom left is to only allow to sing praises to the government.

No way can such thing happen here where people turn up in big numbers just to only ask for one simple thing, one basic human right - I want my CPF money back !

If the Hongkies are wise enough, they must know when to pull back to allow China to work on their demands. If they force China to a corner, they would lose everything they are fighting for.

China can close down Hongkong but Hongkies need to carry on to live a decently good life. No option to China means no option to Hongkong.

When I talk to PRC and PRC-phille, I get impatients sometimes. How many Mao's work they read? Have they read Zhou Enlai, Liu Shaoqi, Chiang Kaishek, Sun Yatsen work.

Over the years, I have read incredible amount of masterpiece.

How many people know that Mao is a advocate of "Hunnan independence" when he was young? Yes, Mao supports breaking up of China.

Mao use to exalt USA, exalt Chiang Kai Shek.

You should not be reading their works. Nothing can go into your head. You are too full of yourself.

something Victoria from USA. They
have done that in Ukraine. I hope they are not doing this in Hongkong. China should blacklist these trouble makers.

What does 15 years old know about Democracy. Singapore also has
domcracy supported by 61%. See what happened.
All those leaders are trying to make excuses to migrate to the West as political victims. No need to queue.

The CCP has betrayed Mao's earlier idealism of democracy. The white man MNCs are a revert back to original Maoism.

See below. Mao say must election.

必须实行无男女、信仰、财产、教育等差别的真正普遍平等的选举制

Also Mao say the rich are too rich, must nationalize banks.

Mao also say must give land to the poor and get rid of parasitic landlord.

Kudos to white man NGO, MNC for helping HK to go for Maoism.

Without mainland China, today Chiang Kai Shek grandson Demos Chiang work as a industrial designer. Every single person in Taiwan believe Demos Chiang live his life by honest means.

In PRC, the princelings are billionaire have forgotten Mao's idealism. The princelings of China prosper by criminal activities and gangsterism.

Not just princelings, the leaders are billionaires.

Examples are Bo Xilai, Zhou Yongkang. Today PRC leaders are famous for fucking virgins and famous for keep 100 mistress.

Who want such system? You want? LKY system is better.

China was divided by many foreign
countries many many moons ago.Countries like UK, France , Japanese, Italy> Each control different parts of China.
There are places where Chinese are not allowed to go in their own countries. Warlords
exploited the peasants. That was the time that China lost a lot of its territories.
Chairman Mao fought and united the country. If not for him maybe the Chinese are still treated like "laundryman"
Without Chairman Mao and the
Communist Party, there is no Modern China today.
Long Live Chairman Mao.
Ha, Ha.Ha

Why did we what to buy Batam from Indonesia? Surely it is better to buy HK from China now that HK is nobody's child.
We can rename the new entity arising from the merger of these two former colonies as Singkongpore. With their combined wealth and talents, we can take on the world!

From total chaos and destruction
only less than 50 years ago, China today is the second largest economy in the world. It has 1.2 billion people, not an easy task to govern .
Meantime the ex colonial masters
is trying to create problems and sabotage China 's progress. One can read the motives in articles
from NY times, Washinton Post, Bloombeg, FinancialTimes.and so on.
I suggest if you do not want to be called dogs or "laundry man'
give China space to improve.

You are right indeed. As I have said, I am a patriotic Chinese and often I am curse by people because of Chinese nationalism.

However, my scope of China history is way bigger than 99.9% of people. I do not easily buy PRC BS. I studied Mao's work. I appreciate the improve of PRC. However, I always provide alternative scope the balance the POV of PRC cheerleaders.

The development PRC today is good. But PRC also need to understand why HK behave in such a way. If people study a lot of books, and understand the real truth, truth will set us free, and we will not be bigot.

On the ground, PRC can understand HK feeling and HK can understand PRC. From here, people can see if things can be improve.

If we keep eating half truth of lies, there can only be more mis-understanding.

If you really read Chairman Mao thought and do not understand the
problems and complexities then you need to go for re-education in the
farms.
So as to understand the hard life China Chinese have gone through.

Martin Lee and Anson Chua went to their masters in USA and London to get support for this demonstration. The leader Jason
was getting money from their master in the Embassy for the last two to three years.
Unfortunately China does own the 6 mafor news media in the world to propagate for him. Don't read the western only. Try to be open minded.
Of course, Honkies have the right to protest but it is different to protest by selling the country to foreigners

Sorry mistake.

The closing down of Hongkong has begun. China is stopping issuing of visas to tourists and foreigners going to Hongkong.

When the doors are shut, let the Hongkies play inside closed doors for as long as they want. No need violence. Let the Hongkies turn violence then deal with them violently.

In the meantime pull out all the security forces and let them have a good time among themselves.
