Jin Soh Lee apologises to Desmond Quek

Singaporean commuters are feeling so guilty for causing the frequent breakdowns of MRT trains that a Jin Soh Lee felt obliged to say sorry to SMRT CEO Desmond Quek for making him work so hard to solve the breakdown problems. Another Singaporean, Boh How Seow suggested that Sinkies should stagger their time to board the trains to prevent overloading so that the trains will feel lighter and no need to crawl at a snail pace. He will be going on a diet to reduce his weight to have ease the load on the trains.

And another Singaporean, Jin Kay Khian, suggested that more electronic boards be installed at MRT stations to inform the commuters on the capacity of arriving trains and how many spaces are available, like signs for carparks. He credited this suggestion to an MRT station that have installed ‘traffic lights’ to regulate the flow of commuters. With such advance information, the commuters can decide which train to take or not to take. It will help to ease the load on the trains too.

I think MRT should follow other organizations to call for feedbacks from the public on how to improve its services, on how to maintain the trains so that there will be no more break downs. Conducting a COI will be good as there are many experts among the commuters to offer specialist advice for free. The aunties and uncles and Boh Tak Cheh will have a lot of clever ideas to offer.

What do you think?

No, there isn't. And that's why there is also no Sinkie more ready to be SMRT CEO than CEO Desmond Quek.

.... is there a Sinkie more ready to be PM than PM Lee? ....

Is there a CEO more ready to be CEO of SMRT than Desmond Kuek?

MRT is the smallest MRT network in the world.
Surely there are many train CEOs and retired CEOs out there who can do a better job?

Yes.
But they are not a PAPig like Desmond Kuek.
How to trust all the MRT secrets to a non-PAPig CEO?

generally the commuters are kind and sincerely want to give smrt time to rectify all challenges.......

however, the commuters are frustrated because they do not know exactly how much time does smrt needs.......

what the commuters faced are the frequent slow-downs and breakdowns of the sardine-packed mrt trains......

therefore it is imperative for smrt to come out and start the whole communication process with the commuters/public NOW!......

love yourself...be kind to others......cheers.....

Such simple thing oso need me to give you idea as if I oso I have a share with those million dollar mans'salary.
So simple. If the maximum capacity for a train is 2,000 pax, just control the auto gate and allow only 1,900 entries.
After the train left, on the auto gate and allow the next batch of 1,900 pax in.The balance 100 is for those elderly above 65 or handicap to access by taking their time through a special gate so that they need not rush.Such idea can even help to reduce risk of pax falling into the track and reduce unnecessary risk while loitering and waiting at the platform for the train.I can give more tips to help SMRT CEO so that she will get her promotion faster and less kpkb from Sinkies.Any kopi for me when I contribute idea?

Good suggestion, more automation. And the hot weather, they will need to build more aircon area outside the station to keep the waiting commuters cool. And must provide entertainment like TVs too to keep them happy.

What else needed, no worry, money no problem. Just keep improving with more gadgets. The commuters will be most happy to pay and pay.

Don't forget to add zebra crossing signs inside the stations.

Just sell COEs to people who want to travel by MRT.
This will stop the over-crowding and control the number of people who will travel by MRT.

When the floods came they claimed that it was a once in a 50 years event. Then the tune changed to Singaporeans should not expect no floods.

When the MRT breakdowns started, they said that those were isolated causes. Now, they are telling us not to expect trouble free MRT services.

Singaporeans are so easy to lied to and pacify. We have now taken the floods as a matter of course. No more complaints. I guess the MRT breakdowns will eventually be taken as a matter of course, with a shrug of the shoulders.

You see, the PAP knows Singaporeans cannot do anything other than complaining, which over time becomes whinning and can be ignored in due course.

Most likely after the survey or so called study, they will increase the fares. They will probably implement a ERP for commuters. Still think they are not trying to screw you?
