Many Sinkies support fare hike

Someone quoted Lui Tuck Yew, the Transport Minister, that he was glad many Sinkies support the fare hike by the Fare Review Mechanism Committee's recommendations, particularly those concessions. Should one read the support for all the recommendations and concessions together, or support only for the fare concessions, or support for the fare hike and others? Read that sentence in one mouthful gives the impression that the Sinkies are in support of fare hike and fare concessions, all in.

Just to make things a bit clearer, I have set up a poll on the right column. This poll only refers to one item, fare hike, so as not to be too confusing. Those who support the fare hike can kee chiu. Others can vote anyhow. Vote ching chai also can.

The year 2016 could be a year of rude awakening for the main party?

After 2011 election, there are 3 other elections: Houngang by election, even with Yaw Shing Leong case they still lost, Tony Tan won by a slim margin of around one percent, which it won again veteran Tan Cheng bok 34 percent and 2 new comers, and the massive shock defeat of Punggol East by election?

Tony with massive medias support, associations and the main party support against can only win one percent against, one of their former top talent Tan Cheng Bock who resign from the party and stand on his own, which he was critical of the main party.

So with around 75 percents votes going to the oppositions side - like Tan Cheng Bock, Tan Jee Say and Tan Kin Lian?

As their popularity sliding further and futher, with the shock defeat of the arse doctor in the latest by election, from a winning 55 percent to a losing 43 percent, by a hardworking girl next door with a heart, who walk and talk to everyone of the flats in punggol east, which prove hardworking and a heart can sway the population?

This recent elections prove that the voting public is discerning they know who to support and supporting a better candidate?

2016 could bring in more ladies from the oppositions, with the likes of Lina Charm, Nicole Seah, Jeanette & Glenda Han etc, could be winning as Singapore would like more female motherly types with female touch to look after their needs, hardworking type with the success of the likes Lee Li Lian and non nonsense type like Sylvia Lim? 2016 could be epoch changing?

As many old voters who are, less internet savvy died from 2011 to 2016, who get the news less from internet, and more and more younger generations of voters able to vote, who are internet savvy, which are not like the older generations depend on the Mainstream Medias? This could be seen in the recent trend of the voting patterns?

East Coast, Marine Parade, Toa Payoh- Bishan, Tanjong Pagar and Tampines could be in a change with only a few percentage margin win and a walkover and a heavily dependent on the old man votes for supporting some new birds, with is massive votes of around 80 percents years ago in SMC?

Marine Parade votes was heavily pull down, the average votes, by the feet stomping Tin Tin, which the old Goh in his SMC days use to get 70 over percents of the votes?

Strangely GRC was used in Singapore, that many countries with lot of different races didn't use, only uniquely Singapore use these system, profit sharing scheme, importing of foreigners in Punggol East not effective, what is the next strategy?

Could it be due to the lock up of the CPF for life and foreigners policies changes, and to reverse the trend and counter the continue sliding votes, to release back the CPF at 55, as the previous policy?

As better and better oppositions candidates like Chen Show Mao and many highly qualified oppositions member coming more and more to join them?

Three females politicians make prominence headlines for their various endeavours and come had a long way in Singapore political landscape?

Grace Fu garners thousands of comments on her infamous speech of hoping her pay not to cut too much, in the ministers salaries review committee? Mostly were negatives as most of the populations hope she serve with her hearts not thinking how much she would make compare to the Nordic ministers salaries, later she was promote possibly to compensate to her favours?

Lee Bee Wah for her infamous or famous supporters of the foreign badminaton champions, which Singapore brought over, which many views like buying of sports medals and later the foreigner turned Singaporean player, left Singapore back to China, after earning millions of Singaporean taxes payers money and awards?

Neo Lily would like to help those with CPF woes but couldn't do anything because of the company whips? She has a heart for the underprivileged, but little can she do anything, against a money driven party?

In future Singapore could like see more of Lina Charm, Nicole Seah, Glenda Han & Jeannette chong, Singaporean with their every discerning interest more and more internet savvy voters, could brought them in the parliament like the Nordic which has multi parties systems which brought out the best of the oppositions?

Each oppositions would present their best ideas from different parties and different angles?

Female politicians usually success through their sheer hard work, and their feminine touch, there are many woes of the commoners need to be addressed, so they may take a chance to bring in them, hoping that bringing in these new faces would bring in better perspective and better ideas to solve various problems?

The recent voting patterns of elections brought some interesting insights back, after the general elections in 2011?

The recent presidential elections, with the contest of 4 politicians and Punggol East by elections the contest of 4 political parties?

Which brought about some interest outcome?

Tony Tan the eventual winner after recount, won by barely one percent with the massive support of the main stream medias, profit-sharing schemes, many associations and the govt, against Tan Cheng Bock who is one of Singapore most loved politician getting more critical of the govt, who had resigned from the party and join in the fray?

And newcomers includes Tan Jee Say 26 percents of the votes?

Tan Kin Lian 5 percents of the votes?

What the difference between these two contests? Which bring 75 pc of the voters to the oppositions views in the presidential election?

It seems like the main party policies like the CPF locked up schemes for life and the importing of foreigners policies had make the support of the populations from 2011 drop drastically by the days?

The main party which support Tony Tan can garnered 35 percents and left the other around 75 percents to the oppositions support?

The most recently Punggol East by elections show their support slide even further and the unhappiness of the voters, from a win of 55pc to a lost of 43pc a staggering unexpected 3000 votes, which the PM confident of winning as he faster call for an election, which he thought altogether 5 parties whould contest and gave the main party a huge advantage dividing the votes, but end in a tragic lost?

Even with massive support for the main party top leaders the arse doctor still turn a win from the previous Micheal Palmer, into a lost, which account why the white paper was brought out almost immediately to counter the lost, which due to the unexpected lost?

If no reversal of certain unpopular policies, it could see a continue sliding down further of their votes?

Sorry around 65 percents support the oppositions views not 75 percents?

/// Many Sinkies support the fare hike ///

ROFL.
I am very heartened by Lui's comments.
There is real hope for the Opposition in GE 2016.
The PAP grassroots organization is confirmed to be completely broken down. The inaccurate feedback to the Leeders will be an unexpected source of strength for the Opposition parties.

It is possible that many Sinkies support whatever the Taikong of the Sampan dictates.
Sinkies are afraid of rocking the Boat thus causing it to sink. They DONT MIND that the Taikong is steering the Boat in the wrong direction and heading into the rough open sea.
Worse is that he, the Taikong has not been maintaining the Boat to keep it in good condition.
He got himself and his crews good life jackets and rafts to use.
Daft Sinkies are just daft.

After fare hike.
Then SMRT will report record profits.
Then SMRT management will reward themselves for their hard work in increasing profits for SMRT.

Then PAP Ministers will reward themselves with yet another round of pay increase.
And Sinkies become poorer.

So is PM Lee really on our side?
What do you think?

How can the majority who are going to pay more and more on public transportation year after year support fare hike, you must be joking?

What happen to the frequent MRT break downs? This has become a norm? Do majority of the people having choice not to squeeze in public transport to and fro from works? What do you think?
we die our business?

PAP-Chicken Joke
-----------------
Why did the chicken cross the road?

Minister Lui Tuck Yew:
The chicken crossed the road to demonstrate his support for the MRT fare increase.

Minister Balakrishnan:
Ungrateful chicken! What more does he want? Three meals in a hawker centre, a food court or a restaurant?

Lee Hsien Loong:
We are on your side. Please don't cross the road over to the other side.

Usually only company operated by a group of greedy,Phua Kays and Pai Khay Kia will cause misery to others.
How I wish to be given an opportunity to run a sure profit service here and let Sinkies travel or eat at 50% percent lessor of what they are paying now.
Garmen already help so much.Be grateful.Earn so much money for what.Cannot manage just close shop.Let others handle.
Sinkies should teach their children to be contented and do not make our self rich by exploiting others.Blame their parent for not teaching them well.Blame Sinkies.

There is a question asked, , Singapore going to Hong Kong way or the technological and welfare system of Nordic countries?

Recent by election in Punggol East show the result as many New Citizens there realised they are not very comfortable in keep on increase the population to grow the economy, which is not very wise?

It's better to have more political competition like the Nordic, so that one party can't afford to be slacken and using the easy way out? More political competition is need to keep the political parties on their toes?

Many of the 3000 votes gained from possibly reveral that of the 2011 elections, are likely due to the New Citizens of course the New Zealand came here they hope for a better standard of living throughout their life and their children not just temporary gain of profit sharing schemes or add in new citizens scheme that don't benefit them in the run run?

Slowly they found out more and more people need to lure here to grow the economy, jobs were be replaced by more and more Newer and Newer Citizens? As you can see in HK?

Greece got the repercussion depending too heavy on the Russian as they left, the economy collapsed?

Hong Konger many came to Singapore in 1997 push up the properties price in Singapore, as they worried about when they reverted back to China rule from the British rule, the China communist system of rules which is much stricter then the free wheeling system, later China consider the economical fallout of Hong Kong they let Hong Kong run it own system with little changes, so the mass exodus of Hong Konger back to China which lead to the properties price collapse and the economic collapse of Singapore left many lost most or all of their asset?

Temporary New Citizens they don't have much roots in the countries, any crisis they will just leave?

Hong Kong system had it drawback, as more and more people from China came to Hong Kong to replace the older citizen leave many out of jobs and later sleep in the street or cage houses?

With overpopulation the system unable to cope like the SARS, it lead to many permanently lost of the asset and jobs?

Nordic systems they don't depend on any single party, they are a multi system, which put forward their ideas and debate to implement they ideas?

Gini co efficiency is much lower, the top segment and bottom segment of the population are not much different, the cleaner or contruction workers salaries is quite high compare to Singapore?

They given leeway for those who failed the had a social support system, where failed entreprenuers were taken care of that lead to much more risk taking and innovations and design which powered the economy and raise the standard of living, birthrate and happiness?

The Nordic most of them are well educated from free education, they don't think making the most materials gains are the happiest like Singapore and Hong Kong, where many feel that the more material things they have over others the better, something wrong isn't it?

The leaders need to show example and learn from the Nordic leaders?

Singapore in the 60s, where many born as many babies as the can, which had only one over million of populations at that time?

Many born more the 4 and above children a family of 8 children is not abnormal which lead to shortage of facilities to take care of them, housing, hospital & education facilities? Parents can't afford to send them to education or further educations?

In the 60sMany who born too babies don't practice birth control and are the less educated one, so their children are left to their own device, which lead to rampant gangsterism, prostitutions, gambling and drug addictions at that time etc?

Which led to stop at two campaign that allow born only two, which is a blunt instrument, which never consider those who can afford it and penalise those who can afford it?

It is so successful it lead to lesser and lesser babies born and need more importing of manpower? With those who don't want to use their brain and always giving excuses and find the easy way out?

The Nordic system a better model, they take care of every citizens education is free so that they can contribute the maximum to the societies?

Overpopulation and overcrowding by importing of people lead to to persistence higher and higher inflation, many facilities or not enough facilities, which can't cope with the overwhelming arrival of new citizens, which lead to higher and higher inflation? Those mean you plan to build so many facilities, you got the supply of materials and the manpower forever?

Then is the questions of how to find jobs for so many newer citizens and will the depress the pay of the new and older citizens and take away their jobs and leave them penniless as you can see more and more were homeless and sleeping in the street?

After 2011 all the goodies, incentives and profit sharing schemes need to take back what they give it free, the New Citzens of Punggol East need to pay back more, through various more indirect taxes schemes?

So the Punggol East residents realised it after more and more indirect schemes after 2011 election, they got to pay back much more then they take? Which lead to the massive reverse of the result from the huge majority of 55 percent over WP of 43pc to a staggering lost of around 41 percents of about losing to WP 3000 votes?

So more importing of population need to compensate those voters who gone to the opposition parties? And lead to hurry to bring out the white paper and go through the parliament faster? Later then think of the excuses to give?

Everyone so happy. Transparency. Got control and checks and balance. Price increase after careful consideration...by myself, for my own interest and my own good.
