Syria - Western charade on a fleeing cause

The western media are all shouting at the top of their voices that Obama is gaining support from the Americans at home and foreign leaders for the impending attack on Syria. Even Putin, the adversary Number One of the Obama Administration is claimed to be coming around. They even quoted Putin as saying, Russia will support a UN Resolution to attack Syria if there is watertight proof that Assad used chemical weapons on his people. The media downplay the full text of what Putin said, that ‘he strongly warned Washington against launching military action without UN approval, saying it would represent an aggression.

The implications of Putin’s statement is that the Americans must have near foolproof evidence which he knew would not be available as he already has in possession contrary evidence that the chemical weapons came from Saudi Arabia. Putin also knew that an UN approval is not possible with Russia and China holding two veto cards. The western media also avoided Putin’s threat of an all out invasion of Saudi Arabia if the US struck Syria against the UN Resolution.

So, how much support is Obama getting from the Russians or the international community other than France and maybe Australia offering some lip service?
But the cries of being on high moral ground continues. The world’s credibility is at stake, the American’s credibility is at stake, if Syria is not punished for using chemical weapons. Obama added that the line against the use of chemical weapons has been ratified by the world community through a chemical weapons treaty. Did the Americans sign this treaty?

Who is the biggest manufacturer of chemical weapons? Who has the biggest arsenal of chemical weapons? Who has been the supplier of chemical weapons to insurgents and countries at war? Who has used chemical weapons in warfare?
Who is the greatest hypocrite that demands no chemical weapons be used and fit the questions above to the T? If the USA is serious about banning the used of chemical weapons, they should ratify the treaty and ban the production and amassing of chemical weapons that they claimed to be so evil. They should start by destroying their stockpile and chemical weapons industry.

Why are the Americans producing and hoarding so much chemical weapons in the first place if they are not to be used? The credibility of the Americans is at stake if they did not dispose of their chemical weapons arsenal and did not stop producing and selling them.

Get off your high horse Obama. The world is watching you, Nobel Peace Prize laureate.

I wrote the above yesterday. In today’s Reuter report of the G20 summit, the truth is coming out. Obama is facing pressure from world leaders to stop his attack on Syria. Other than Russian and China, the EU and Pope Francis are against armed intervention. ‘The Pope urged the leaders to “lay aside the futile pursuit of a military solution”.’

The isolation of Obama and the USA is as clear as daylight. Obama is attending a meeting without the support of nearly every one of the leaders except France. And he is now relying on Congress to approve his attack of Syria, in violation and total disregard of the UN and international law. The aggressive and warmongers will not stop at anything except to go to war at their own terms. The warlike culture of the Americans, yes, ordinary Americans that support war is now being show case. The hideous Americans and their hypocrisy of a peaceful nation is there for all to see.

I really dun understand the Yanks.

Here they have a golden opportunity to help devastate 2 Islamic Terrorist groups, and all that Obama wants to do is to intervene.

This is going to be a Hezbollah vs al Queda fight -- a radical Islam-fueled civil war. The US, Russia and China can score big here by selling BOTH SIDES weapons so that these two groups of haters can obliterate each other. Not to gild the lily too much: both sides HATE the USA -- i.e. sworn enemies of America.

As for Bashar Hafez al-Assad -- The Syrian Sheeple Get The Government They Deserve. No one should be interfering in Syria's domestic affairs, regardless of how many camel-fuckers are being killed. This is their own affair -- leave the assholes alone to sort it out, or not.

As far as the Americans and West are concerned, as long as these countries are fighting and killing and destroying themselves, it is a good thing. They will support any side to keep the mess getting messier.

Redbean,

"As far as the Americans and West are concerned, as long as these countries are fighting and killing and destroying themselves, it is a good thing."

Please take your time nd read the comments from NYTimes and click on the video.

This article and video further reenforced my believe the evil of the worldwide’s "Duopoly.” Have you forgotten the US oready has two warships in Singia, further ships will be deploy. Soon it will be "Singapore Spring," it maybe far messier then Tiananmen Square protests in 1989. This time will it will be different: FT and New citizens on the regime’s side with the Gurkha in the frontline. It is possible PRC, India, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia contributing troops to quell the unrest.

Nothing is impossible when the regime crosses the “Red Line.”

Irish Nobel Peace Laureate on Syria.

To me it is fait accompli. Unless Putin steps up to the plate and actually faces off with Obama militarily, it is "boots on the ground" for Obama, Commander-In-Chief, spending money they don't have, on another undeclared war most rational people don't want. (save those with "vested interests")

Putin is placing his troops on war readiness, to invade Saudi Arabia if the US attacks Syria. Yes, it will depend on whether his message is strong enough to stop the Americans from starting another war.

Singapore has to be careful to prevent the US from support and arming an insurgent group against the govt. Now with so many foreigners here, the ground is so fertile for foreign imported insurgency.

US support Al Qaeda here? Not possible? I think it is fair game if it serves American interests.

Make peace not war. I cannot understand why they cannot settle their dispute over a beach conference in Hawaii. Is it in the bible that syria will lead to the third world war aka armageddon? When will they ever learn?

Pope's call for "lay aside the futile pursuit of a military solution". has personal interest in Syria, fear 8-10% of christian population, supporter of Assad could become victims if strike occurs.

When I said that Putin has to face-off with Obama, I meant directly, i.e. "toe-to-toe" -- for e.g. actually place a defensive blockade, like the Russian Navy in the Mediterranean, just off the coast of Syria, and perhaps take command of the airspace.

However, at the moment Putin has only promised to "help" Syria by keeping the supply of weapons and equipment and "humanitarian" stuff.

Putin's threat to attack Saudi Arabia was a fruitcake idea, IMO although I did relish the thought of at least someone FINALLY having the GOOD SENSE to obliterate the motherfucking brutal, barbaric and corrupt House Of Saud from earthly existence once and for all. However, being the "holiest" of all ho-lee Islamic sites (where The Haj occurs every October), attacking Saudi Arabia is bound to have "negative repercussions" -- to put it mildly.

@b 306:

>> Make peace not war.

"War" is the natural state of our political species. If you look at the historical record, there's always some kind of military action going on, all the time.

Let's see Obama calling Putin's bluff. And that will be the end of Putin and Russia. Latest report Russia is sending more weapons to Syria. You are right to say that the Russians need to do something concrete, set up an air defence to shoot down all aircraft, drones and cruise missiles heading to Syria. Block all enemy ships to the Syria coast and threatens to attack those committing hostile acts against the Syrians.

If it is not prepared to go that far, the American strike will be a forgone conclusion.

So far that fake war mongering Nobel Peace Laureate has not got the support he needs. UK, no support. France is twiddling their thumbs. Thankfully most Euro-scumbags are in deep financial shit they probably can't afford it. The G20 more or less said "no" to air strikes against Syria

American people themselves are almost united across political lines about not going to war in Syria. The lines to Congress are jammed with people ringing in to protest their non-support.

Here in Australia -- with Tony Abbot the new Australian PM (by tonight after the federal election polls close) -- is going to be in for mass protests if he even hints at Aussies helping out the Yanks militarily in this case.

However Putin is a far savvier politician than Obama could ever be, and this is why he (Putin) is not playing all his cards at once. However rest assured, in the war rooms in the Kremlin and The Pentagon there are scenarios and plans being made for a USA-Russian Federation stand-off in the Middle East.

Putin is not bluffing. He has already sent 4 warships to the coast off Syria.

Bush said Saddam Iraq had huge weapons of mass destruction..excuse to war...found none.

Obama said Assad used chemical weapons...better verify again and again...could be from rebels themselves supplied by a foreign power...don't know who.

Leave domestic quarrels alone.
More peace less war.

Why should anyone interfers with the internal(read domestic) affairs of the Middle Eastern Kingdoms? And mind you that family affairs of the Middle Easterners are mired in their very own belief in man-made religion. The funniest thing is, it is the same religion.
Lolx.
