Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri!

I just came back after spending the nearly the whole day out and cannot miss the well and colourfully dressed Muslim brothers and sisters everywhere. There is one place they are missing though, the foodcourts. But that is understandable as they will be having their feasts at home with their families and friends.

I was at this foodcourt and the only people I saw were mainly Chinese, some Indians and some foreigners. Having the Indians and Malays all eating together in the foodcourts was nothing unusual as they are part and parcel of this country, they are a part of every Singaporean. Now the foreigners are also becoming a part of us as well. Their presence cannot be missed.

Today I really felt something missing, without the signs and presence of Malays among the customers. It would likely be the same for a Chinese or Indian festival with the particular tribe making the missing act.

Once again, Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

This year CNY, my family was at Burger King Vivo City having some bite before gping for a show.

No seats at all. Only one or two Singaporean families.

The rest ALL the foreigners as embraced by our beloved PAP MEN/WOMEN-in-white.

In the end has to forgo the brunch.

Doesn't matter how many foreigners and how few real Sinkies are in the food courts.

But come election time, PAP must be able to win at least 60% of the votes, and partly due to many foreigners become Sinkie citizens.

This is what really matters.

how many times when u r out, u feel like u r in foreign land ?
whether in public area, bus, lift, tube...
i am often assaulted by a symphony, or shall i say, cacophony of foreign langues in sensurround [tm] sound no less
. usually there'r several groups of foreigners from various countries bantering to their hearts contents, the few of us sg just had to bear with it.
by now i can make out their nationalities from their languages even tho i dont really understand what they r talking about. its mostly india, vn, jp, ph, murikkan etc etc.
once i was baffled by some chinese looking dudes talking in a lingo that i had never heard before, so i asked them politely where r they from, one dude answered *mongolia* in a not too friendly way. seeing that they had no interest in talking to me, i just let off. since then i had come across mongolians in many occassions, none too keen in conversation with me.

did u see what i see,
murikkan, indians, vn, jp, ph, mongolians....this is practiclly the asian nato gang

mongolia in nato ?
its already a de facto member.....
*NATO now has a military partner squeezed between Russia and China*
