New trend in begging

Some data showed that at 9 pm last night the PSI hit 452. Before at 8pm it was 224 and after at 10 pm it was 287. For that one hour the PSI went into very dangerous level. And many people have been storming the pharmacies trying to buy N95 masks but all sold out. What contingency plan to stockpile such masks for emergencies just like this?

If the situation gets worst, and the N95 masks are not available, we could see beggars begging for mask along the streets. Please give me a mask, I am suffocating.

What about setting up clean air kiosks along the roads for people to breathe?

Actually hor, are those mask effective?

Anonymous said...

Smoked Singaporeans for sale?

Anonymous said...

And actually hor, other than protecting the lungs, my eyes are smarting from the smoke too. Have to buy googles to cover the eyes or not?

just wait until school term starts....

I don't know how good is the GSS 2013 for normal items, but mask makers are truly having a sale every year at this time. By the looks of this annual event, maybe this is one line of business that has good potential.

Anonymous said...

Haze good business opportunities to sell masks. You to pay $3, $5 or $10?

Anonymous said...

Googles can not cover lar only goggles can

Be flexible lah... use underwear as facemask as last resort. Better still must be white in colour. Now breathe hard , and say "we vote PAP".

let us know if that is effective.

Hahaha

Trending now: smake and mirrors and masks.

No more dengue lah!

The ah-gong Indonesian Minister Laksa-also-dunno is the newest big-time beggar. He does not want your US$1 million. Perhaps our Minister in charge of Dengue & Haze should ask him: "You want $10 million, $100 million or $1 billion?

So, of what use is the 'smoked out' or 'snubbed out' or 'no smoking area' campaign when everyone is having a good smoke everywhere they go, 24 hours a day.

Just like the campaign about using less plastic bags shit, when big corporations are using tons of plastics in wrappings and carton boxes. Is it because they are too big to touch, so go for the small fries.

It's official. PSI is now 400 at 11 am 21 June 13. The PSI machine is working.

Ho Ho.

You guys can whine until your face turns blue and nothing much can or will be done.

Just take your red passport, go to the airport and take a plane ride to sunny and balmy Hainan island. Great five star hotels, cheap by Hazepore's standards.

Come back when the air clears. That is, if there is anything to come back to.

Ho Ho.

Bro, my ex-colleague as boarding officer in ships chartering business went to the red sea Arab states once for commodity loading.

He told me a very efficient way not only to beat the hsze but also sand storms by the Arabs in wearing the ladies Kotex tampon pads on their mouths.

So run out of N95 masks, these are the alternatives.

Never learnt from previous haze episodes. Heard that one enterprising gentleman made a pile importing tons of N95 masks during one of the haze periods.

He forsee a demand of them
Now proud owners of two sentosa cove bungalows

Blue skies in do many countries to breathe fresh air.

Bejing not recommenced

I have to stay at home and turn on my air-con. Can ask Singapore Power to give discount for electricity bill or not.

Cannot go out and work so no money but electricity bill increase. Double whammy!

who say bra is only for female ?

Given such desperate time, male can also think out of box to survive if couldn't get facemask. i thought that the bra can be used effectively as a substitute for the mask, or is it just me ?

before you think i joking , please read this

I wonder how that smell ... but at least if it smell better than the haze !

"Can ask Singapore Power to give discount for electricity bill or not. "

Singapore Power must be earning the most profit during these hazy period every year of these time .

How are cigarette sales these few days? Must be bad, when smokers can have all the free smokes 24/7. Non smokers also forced to enjoy passive smoking, courtesy of our Indon neighbour.

Wonder how they are going to solve this problem when the Indon Minister bluntly told us to shut the fuck up and stop acting like a baby.

Singapore power probably hoping to have more of such Great Singapore Smokeout. More ariconditioning due to the haze resulting in higher temperatures everywhere.

Soon, every Singapore will not have to work, just depend on property prices to go higher and cash out and live on the profit, or rent out their flats and live with children. Haze or not haze, just stay at home and enjoy life.

You see, there is really no need to work and no need to care about productivity and all those shit.

Looking out of my window at MBFC, visibility is down to 500m.

No worry, this problem will go away by itself. No worry.

Anonymous said...

By next year this problem will become a non issue lah. Just like the floods and MRT breakdowns. The PAP will tell us there is nothing they can do. They will blame nature, just as they blamed the trees and branches for the floods in Orchard Road initially, and the birds for the mosquito breeding on rooftop water tanks.

Just sit tight and wait for the good news when they think of who or what to blame. Be patient, if we can last that long.

Anonymous said...

don't worry. When the haze becomes 2nd nature and new normal , just like mrt breakdown, legalized corruption, nepotism and cronyism, everything will return back to normal, and these will become non-issue unworthy of been reported by Shitty Media.

No more anti foreigner rant from RB.
Perhaps with the haze, RB cannot see any foreigner?

Anonymous said...

"Perhaps with the haze, RB cannot see any foreigner?"

redbean cannot see foreigner since they are covered with face mask . by the way, is the lack of face mask aggravated by influx of foreigner purchase ?

You people are right. When I stretch out my hand I could not count the fingers. Everything, every where is white and hazy. And there is this funny smell in the air.

Anonymous said...

"And there is this funny smell in the air."

Funny smell ? What smell ? Please smell the right thing. If you are not sure what is the right thing to smell, please ask Yaacob or MDA .

Anonymous said...

Hahaha

Reading, talking or smelling the right thing is the new norm. As to what they are, yes, you have to ask Yaacob.

Uncle Chua, Better buy an air ticket and fly to somewhere further away. Go Darwin or Perth. You can visit your matilah friend.

Not a bad idea to take a holiday in Oz at this time.

Hi WB, think you are new here. Welcome to the blog. Now with a new hazy committee being formed, maybe next year this time when haze arrives, they will know exactly what to do and how many masks to distribute out.

The RCs can help by delivering the masks to the residents especially the oldies.

Anonymous said...

They should at least issue stop work order for pregnant ladies. Are they waiting for bloggers to tell them what to do these days?

Anonymous said...

matilah is in toowoomba, near brisbane, if you want to visit him, redbeans. he's been very quiet lately. maybe not happy his comment was deleted recently. but he'll pop up again. without this blog, he'll mati.

Now it seems quite Ok now.

Think maybe TT already transferred and credited into account.

Firemen and everyone in action putting out fires.

One HK movie where firemen asked the Management of the building that caught fire.

In cantonese "Got water no water?"

Mangement replied: "Got water"

Firemen in action with hose spraying water into the fire.

Now the Indonesians asked: Got water No water??

Sin City: Got water!

The haze is lighter now. No more acts of God.

@ 8.26 pm

Why "waste" hard earned limited Singaporean public fund?

Got one time, got hundred times and in the end countless times ..... Where is it ever going to end ..... ?

Surely, "expensive scholarships'" scholars are capable of better "solutions" then just give "water" every time somebody asks for "water". Like that even if we have the entire ocean of water also eventually would dry up .....

Haven't scholars heard of "围魏救赵" and combining with "上屋抽梯", we can demonstrate to some people better not to "fool" around with us next time .....

As to the context of "魏", "屋" and "梯", I am sure scholars " worthy of the big piece of certificates hanging on their walls" are smart enough to figure it out ......

Surely, scholars can think out of the box and not just talk the talk but cannot walk the walk .....
