Vindication of high pay no corruption

HongKong’s Housing Secretary Mak Chai Kwong has been arrested and under investigation for benefitting from housing policies while in office. He and his colleagues took advantage of loopholes in housing policies to gain financially.

We don’t have such incidents since the govt started to pay to prevent corruption in public service. Imagine how serious it could be given the predominant stake in public housing and how public servants and ministers could take advantage of policies to line their pockets and investments.

Thanks to our high pay policies that such thing did not happen here. It is about time to review whether it is necessary to raise the pay of ministers and public servants given the reappearance of a few high profile corruption cases recently. Better be proactive and nip the problems in the bud. If there is a need to increase the pay, better do so quickly to save the embarrassment like the Hongkong case. Our foresighted govt should act quickly and can be depended on doing this wisely.

Hongkong should send a team of civil servants here to study our high pay no corruption scheme. And since no angmohs are acting as consultants, the fees will be nominal if any.

Think our law makers must solemnly declared in Parliament, before every sitting, that they are not and would not.

Think if it is okay.

How can Hong Kong follow our way? Even if they want, it is practically not possible. Because then the HK head will be paid more than the China head who is his boss.

They can borrow our logic and explanation mah. Just tell Beijing that Singapore has done it and they can compare themselves with Singapore in everything. Beijing sure say ok one.

Beijing would love to hear the justification and used it to raise their own pay, quoting Sinkieland and Hongkong.

The main problem will be the street smart Hongkies who would not accept cock logic.

It's a misnomer to think the PRCs are dull. In 30 years they turned a poverty stricken country into the second largest world economy, fed and clothed 1.3b people, rebuilt all their major cities to look like Manhattan, and challenging America as the world's number one economic power.

The Hongkies were parasites in a way, clinging on the British Empire and today, living on the blessing of PRC. China could switch off their light anytime if it wanted to. Everything that Hongkong and Hongkies can do, can be replicated in Shenzhen and Shanghai. In this aspect they are really dumb to think that they are different and smarter than the PRCs.

High pay for civil service means that you're rest assured of getting crafty arseholes in office in order to create a culture of public bum fuckkery which is a hallmark of effective government.

All government at some level is corrupt. High pay means you get a top notch cadre of potentially corrupt individuals - - who are more entertaining that having a bunch of cheap, low level lovers.

Pay them handsomely. Confusious will be pleased.

There is no doubt PRC has fed and clothed 1.3b people and country progressed by leaps and bounds but at what cost? Democracy is unheard of and opponents are regularly rounded off.

Stop conning yourself if you know what democracy is. Of the people, by the people, for the people. It means the leaders are from the people, elected by the people and to serve the people. Communist leaders rose from the ranks, the people. They are elected by the people in their own system. They serve their people without having to be paid to be clean. Anyone caught corrupting would likely be executed.

Now compare them with Sinkieland and see the difference. And the PRC Chinese have more freedom to demonstrate than us. There are corruption and corrupt officials but the people could fight them and see them put behind bars.

OMG. Ok, Mr Bean.

PRC is good and democratic, followed by Honkyland who are smart alecs and lastly daft sinkies.

And US of A is evil empire.

At the golden gate they asked to be let in and told the gatekeeper they were not chinks. The gatekeeper said heaven only for angmoh but they don't look angmoh.

But, but, but I am not chink, why can't I go to heaven? I also believe chinks are evil and angmohs are good.

The Taiwanese are getting smarter and know that hooking onto the growth machine would ensure many good years of prosperity.

The Hongkies took it for granted that they are indispensable to China and they could prosper without China. A time will come when China found them irrelevant and just shift everything to Shanghai and see how clever the Hongkies can be to survive on its own.

The world should just follow Singapore way.

Just ask how much it takes the higher echelon to be corrupted, and then handsomely pay them way above the corruption money. So what corrupted becomes legalised. Problem solved. No more corruption, and we can live happily after and the ruling party can continue to rule a thousand year.

Now you see why PAP is the only government capable not only of ruling SinCity but also to rule the world. Anyone disagree, please kee chiu ...

Ya lor! Just change the lsw and legalise political corruption.

There, all problems solved. No need to talk about respecting the law.

More high and mighty in Hongkong are being hauled up. The punishment for corruption is behind bars. And that it the most effective means.

See, no one would be caught making false taxi claims and using office stationery.
