War crimes in Sri Lanka and Myanmar

America is behind the war crime investigations in Sri Lankan and Myanmar under the UN umbrella. How come there is no war crime investigation against America in Vietnam, in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Guantanamo? Why were there no war crime tribunal against the indiscreet killing of civilians in Nagasaki and Hiroshima by the Americans. And pushing it a little back, why no crimes against humanity against the Americans for slavery of Africans and genocide against the Red Indians? When will the UN grow some balls to initiate war crimes or crimes against humanity against the Americans?

err.....excuse me bro.

If the Yanks didn't bomb the begeezus out of the Japs, history might have been vastly different.

The two guys would still be working for the Japs and you and I will probably be named akawasan and hirosawasan instead of Chin Leng and Wally respectively. And the red sun emblem would still be fluttering over Syonan governed by the barbaric Japs.

F@#k the Japs of the second world war. They deserve to die. If I were of military age then, I would say:

"Lets kill them all!"

So I don't know what the Yanks did in the other theatres of war because I am too busy living the life of a Buffet. But in the case of Nagasaki and Hiroshima, I give the Yanks a big salute from the bottom of my heart because they and only they had the balls to test and see whether the bomb works.

I fully agree with you that the Japs deserved the two A bombs. And they are not repentant and some are trying to revive their military madness today. I am waiting for the Koreans to avenge their years of humiliations in their hands. Unfortunately South Korea has become a pawn of the Japs and the US and are more willing to kill the North Koreans instead.

That aside, the crime against the innocents, the young the and old, is still war crime. The Americans must answer to that. Otherwise they will go around pointing the fingers at everyone.

Wally Buffet said...

Even smart bombs like cruise missiles sometimes strike innocents so the two vintage bombs had to take collateral damage. Besides, the idea was not actually to annihilate Japan but to send a clear message that if you continue with the aggression against the East Pacific nations, your civilians will die.

The emperor got the message.

Sri Lanka and Myanmar are support by rivals, not US, thus make sense to investigate.

As for their own GIs, since the US is the biggest bully, there isn't any one big and strong enough to stand up yet.

So all those poor souls lost are just part of collateral damage. There are just numbers.

"The Americans must answer to that. Otherwise they will go around pointing the fingers at everyone". Unquote.

Redbean Sir;

who's going to charge the Americans? The exterminators of the Red Indians were all gone, the Japanese of today is in cahoot with the Present Americans. You want Ban Ki Moon to cahrge the Americans? He is helping the US, Japan and the South Koreans to hammer the North Koreans.

Luckily Ban Ki Moon is just only a mere mortal, if he is a country or head of a country, the US would have another stooge under its' control.

No need to be overly worry about the war crime prosecutions or the US la. United States itself may become disunited, at least expect some internal political and social issues to plague it for sometimes.

Me am of the view that many potential war crimes will be done in the US Homeland itself, 9/11 was just the openning one, a starter to be followed by main course and then desserts of course.

I understand. Please remember that the American policy/strategy is to start wars everywhere, stir shit everywhere, to keep everyone fighting and defending the shit the Americans thrown at them. And all became too busy and the Americans could go about in peace and free from trouble.

They need to have shit thrown into their backyard to keep them busy. Ha, 911! You did not see how Bush ran for cover in his homeland!

Why are the Super Rich Americans so generous as to donate their wealths now. To keep the US in one piece as well as to have their own peace of minds. Much of their wealths are made from exploiting their workers as well as their fellow countrymen through all the financial products and services. But the financial healths of the country and much of the population are in troubles.

The US Government alone will not solve the economic problems which will culminate in social upheavals, weaken its' national cohesiveness and threaten the US National Security. All these are internal problems, add to these will be the foreign terrorists which the US will be the main target and its' allies the secondary ones.

Even if the US wants to act hero, it will still have to tackle its homeland problems first. There are more than it can swallow to come.

On Sept 11, the terrorists flew the planes into the worng buildings. They should have taken out the assholes at The UN instead.

The UN is run by a bunch of idiots for the idiots of the world. They presume themselves to be a "world govt", and they really suck at it.

Everyone who works there is paid an astronomical salary. The UN have theri own military and can walk in anytime to any country for any reason.

The US OTOH has a "relationship" with the UN, and like all relationships it is push-pull, give and take.

The US has the most awesome military machine in the world and therefore call the shots as far as "justice" goes. No one in the US can be prosecruted for "war crimes" because every war the US fights is a "just" war. If it kills millions of brown or yellow people it backs up the decision by narratives and "evidence" that would stretch the imaginations of the world's best fiction writers.

When the US A-bomb the Nips, there was widespread jubilation all over the world. When LBJ and Kennedy (and Nixon) up scaled the "war" in Vietnam people in SE Asia (like Singapore) were not only thankful for the US to send its young men to "die for freedom" and thus protect the rest of SE Asia from falling via the "dominino effect", but many SEAsian nations PROFITED from the war. Singapore did exceedingly well supplying fuel, food medicine, ordanance, ... you know S'pore lah... anything to make a buck (and I support that attitude, BTW)

American slavery was a "right" -- manifest destiny, and the "scientific fact" that black people were "sub human species" and therefore could be subjugated according to the Bible. So the whole doctrine was anchored in motherfucking Christianity.

In fact, US doctrine to this very day is solidly grounded in Biblical "prophecy". The Americans really believe that that angry old Jewish God, who loves to kill people whilst professing to "love them" has bestowed America with a "mission" to cleanse the world of evil.

Charge the Americans with war crimes? Be serious lah. They have divine protection and are on a heaven-sent mission. It is the will of god (that angry asshole who lives in the sky and is an expert at remaining invisible)

Who could have thought the dinosaurs will go out of circulation, when they were so dominant in the food chain. Nature saw to that.

Who could have thought that the British Empire could disintegrate, and the British influence on every continent reduce to nothingness in the scheme of power projection? Nothing last forever.

And who could not help learning from history that every dynasty in China had to fall when the time came, however ruthless and power hungry the rulers may be.

The time for the USA has not come yet.

Re: dinosaurs -- actually there have been 5 mass extinctions so far recorded in earth's 3.4 billion year history. The one which supposedly (the theory is disputed) took out the dinosaurs was at the Yucatan penisula in Mexico where a 10km chunk of space rock slammed into the earth at around 100,000 kmh.

NAture kills all her children. We carry our own eventual death with us as soon as we are born.

So what?

It is impossible for large groups of humans to "learn from history". If it was possible, mankind would have gotten rid of religion by now.

You are assuming the species is "rational". Sure, humans are capable of "rationality", but if their logic and reason is still based on wrong premises (like religion) it is IMPOSSIBLE to learn from history.

The US will be dominant for sometime yet. The Brits empire: 400+ years, Romans 1200 years, Mongols, Alexander, Spain, Ottoman, and so on. They don't just "come and go". Empires hang around and disrupt the lives of millions. That is how destructive collectivism can be.

So don't hold your breath. American culture is all over the world in ecery aspect of everyone's life. The US is not going away in either of our lifetimes.

Humakind will destroy itself and mother earth by over reproduction and over consumption.

At a micro level, Singapore will kill itself first by over population. We are now suffocating and crazy people are still encouraging migrants to come in to add to the pressure.

Ⓜatilah $ingapura⚠️ said...

I have my doubts about that. I think the microbes will get us first before we kill each other off.

Like I said -- there's been 5 mass extinctions already. 98% of the species in existence have faded into oblivion. Every day about 16 species go extinct -- simply by "natural" causes (evolution).

Now that people like Craig Venter are creating synthetic life (biological), lots of interesting possibilities open up. And then there is the creation of non-biological or hybrid artificial life: e.g. self-aware robots...the more the future becomes "interesting".

Ⓜatilah $ingapura⚠️ said...

P.S. Singapore has ways to go yet before you can even call it "crowded".

Manhattan has 10 million people as a daytime population.

You could fit 8-10 million into Singapore -- no problem.

Whether or not people are going to like it is a completely different issue.

Don't be so selfish lah...open your arms, heart and mind to your fellow humans!

My support for fully open borders in Singapore remains unchanged.

The calls for a borderless world seem to be more fitting for bigger countries. Are there any movement and organization that work toward such idealism of the World as a single nation ? Borderless, colourless, religionless and speak only in one language.

wondering which blog platform are you using for this website?
I'm getting sick and tired of Wordpress because I've had issues with hackers
and I'm looking at alternatives for another platform. I would be awesome if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.

Hi there. I noticed your website title, "Blogger: My Singapore News" does not really reflect
the content of your internet site. When creating your website title, do you believe it's most beneficial to write it for Search engine optimisation or for your readers? This is one thing I've been struggling with due to the fact I
want good search rankings but at the same time I want the best quality for my visitors.

Hi this is kind of of off topic but I was wanting to know if
blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code
with HTML. I'm starting a blog soon but have no coding knowledge so I wanted to get advice from someone with experience. Any help would be enormously appreciated!

Right now it seems like Expression Engine is the
