Should Singaporeans be angry?

In a discussion in PAP's Facebook, it was claimed that a PR by the name of Fahim Hameed had called Singaporeans scums for not appreciating the things the govt have done for them. I am not sure how true this is, but it sounds real as several blogs have reported on it. Should Singaporeans be angry to be called scums by a PR they invited to live with them, to make money here, and also to enjoy our hospitality? I think they should not and there are many reasons for it. In the first place, the PRs are here to help the Singaporeans, help to create jobs for Singaporeans, help to increase GDP growth, have in population growth, help to improve our genetic pool, help Singaporeans to be more productive and competitive. And Singaporeans can sell their flats and make profits from the PRs too, or rent out rooms for pocket money. Be grateful, Singaporeans. And to have a PR to call Singaporeans scums is actually an honour. If Singaporeans are scolded by lesser talents, then it will be an insult. But PRs are normally more talented. And to be insulted by a better talent is no shame. Singaporeans should instead say thank you to this Fahim Hameed. Without Fahim, Singaporeans would not know that they have become scums in the eyes of FTS.

Wait till they start to demand for rights, then we shall see whether the Government still want us to welcome them here.

I am waiting to be entertained when that day comes.

Soon, very soon these converted citizens will start coverting Singaporeans. And Singaporeans are very easy to convert as they are very fragile spiritually in this pressure cooker society.
The coming generations of Singaporeans will likely be of Other Races had the Old Race Classification and Identification remain.

Most are going to be mixed-bloods and if me may use a local slang, they will be called 'chubchen' in Hokkien, Teochew Dialects and Qazhung in Mandarin, meaning non-pure origins.

It is quite reassuring to know that Singaporeans will not react to such disgusting name calling by foreigners coming here to work. Singaporeans are used to being slapped and discreditted by everyone. It is official that Singaporeans are less talented, lazy, ignorant and not competitive. So what else is new.

I will like to punch this PR in the face if he were to say that in front of me. If Singaporeans do not stand up for their rights and dignity, they deserve to be called scums by anyone.

Wally Buffet said...

Why should we be angry? The doted and fawn upon PRs calling us Dogs and Scums is nothing. Wait a few more years when they become "newly minted" citizens, these third world sub Indian continent swills will be calling us the natives by much more exotic sounding terms.

How about "A##holes" "Bums" "Sh@tholes" "Mar@#erf@#kers" "Dafterest Donks" "Lazy Layabouts" "Good for Nothing Complaint Kings".

Guys, the new age belongs to the PRs and our newly minted citizens. What do you do after using a piece of toilet paper? You flush it down the tube of course! I have a sneaky feeling that we are on our way in that dark tube into the sewerage system.

Never in my wildest dreams when I was growing up in a Singapore that I would give my life to defend that things would end up like this. It is almost like Shanghai being ruled by the Yanks, the Brits, the Frenchies and the Japs in an era that saw a signboard that said: "No Dogs and Chinese Allowed" Things have not gone that far, not yet. But when newly granted PRs can spout such vituperative with obvious impunity, you know that the prognosis is not good.

The Prognosis is that the Cells in the Head are afflicted with Cancer.

And that it is the Prognostic of events to come.

Redbean should not touch them in any encounter, Singaporeans should adopt some wise Oriental Cultures of which one is not to touch the Pariahs, dogs and traitors.

You don't have to call people names to make an impact. That is crude entertainment by under-educated people.

The educated person does not resort to name calling to make a point.

The educated person will register his insults between the lines of the words he used, simply and effectively, in a gentlemanly fashion. Any other educated reader can read between the lines to understand the nature of the message put across.

So, guys, don't be too bothered by such crude remarks by crude people.

Anonymous said...

Would we live to see signs saying 'No dogs and Singaporeans allowed?'

Wally Buffet said...

Come to think of it, which truly educated or talented immigrant would like to live in this sardine can.

We can only attract name calling opportunists and immigration con artists seduced by an over valued Singapore dollar which they will amass and then disappear to return to their unknown villages and rule over a little fiefdom.

In the meantime, to curry favour they run down Singaporeans hoping to show that they are one of the loyal boys. I get the impression that for getting their fiefdom they would even sell their grandmothers.

Chua Chin Leng aka redbean said...

Uh, I must disagree with you on the point of selling their grandmothers. I am very sure they would not do that.

No takers for sure.

Wally Buffet said...

Hehe,

Can use their grandmothers to queue for good property launches while we have a good night's sleep.

The true colours and abilities of these so called imported talents are now quite clear. Their words and actions speak for themselves.

The recent emergence of the few PRs who came out to defend their positions are all of the same kind: arrogant, crude, foul-mouthed and ill mannered.

And they are mostly supposed to be taking up rapport-building positions in community centres, community clubs and I suspect, paid to counter the fast shifting ground against PRs.

Too bad. They are doing exactly the opposite with their extreme behaviour. They are doing more harm than good. That is not a good sign.

Sri Lankan Singapore PR/new citizen to PAP critics: You are a bunch of prejudiced SCUMS!
August 2nd, 2010 | Author: Editorial
A discussion on the People Action Party’s Facebook about PAP Minister Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam’s recent speech calling on Singapore to accept more “foreign talents” to boost its economy has turned nasty with a Sri Lankan Singapore Permanent Resident/new citizen Mr Fahim Hameed resorting to name-callings to taunt Singaporeans critical of the PAP’s pro-foreigner policies.

A Singapore NSman by the name of Sahita Nilesh described the PAP’s perennial dependence on cheap foreign workers as akin to the chronic use of steroids:

“Relying on Foreign Talent perpetually to boost economy is akin to using steroid to maintain your health.”

This prompted a series of harsh rebuttals from Mr Fahim who asked Sahita if he is willing to do the jobs that foreigners do.

“Are you willing to do the the Jobs what the foreigners are willing to do? Under the same hardships? If yes , then the PAP government has no issues in putting a full ban on foreigners…..PAP is the one and only Political Guru that can keep Singapore going and growing,” he wrote.

The PAP has always used the lame excuse that foreigners are needed to take up jobs “shunned” by Singaporeans. However in recent years, the PAP has accepted an increasing number of semi-skilled foreigners to compete directly with Singaporeans for jobs which can otherwise be taken up by them such as engineering.

Mr Fahim, an obviously admirer of PAP strongman Lee Kuan Yew next launched a tirade at locals for wanting “free hand-outs”

“If LKY has not used his intelligence and continued Raffles concept and improved on it, you won’t be here today…. go get your self a life guys.. without sitting and complaining like a spoil little brat. That is what most of you Locals are all about , you want free hand-outs.”

He ended his “lecture” by scolding PAP critics as a bunch of “prejudiced SCUMS”:

The above is copied from Temasek Review.

There is always a possibility that TR or any blog/forum would post misleading articles. In this case, if the article is false, the authority will be going after TR.

I just copy and paste from TR.

By the way, what makes you so sure that TR's article is false?

Any alien that came to SIN to deride locals commits sins and therefore deserve to be rejected by all Sinkaporeans. And Singaporeans should show that they are not welcome by any means and ways EXCEPT TO TOUCHED THEM.

Though me am of the opinion that Sinkaporeans were/are fools to help out, donate to disasters, help failing financial companies in True First World Nations, people from these places should be grateful or at least thankful. Instead they came into this land to abuse Sinkaporeans directly at their(Sinkaporeans) faces, what audacity!

I love Oriental Commonsense as there are much wisdom in them and shall conclude this comment with a Chinese Saying 'ren bu wei chi, tian chu ti mie', meaning take care of self to survive, otherwise there is no life possible. Any self preservation act to survive as children of this land is to me justifiable in view of the aliens invasion and their impertinences.

Aliens are those not born here, period, whether they hold work permit, permanent residency or turned citizens in the last few years.

Please show us the proof. For the time, it is you who is claiming that TR is misleading but did not tell us why.

The blog is open for you to make your stand. I do not take TR's claim as the whole truth. Neither will I accept your claim as the truth. I am just putting the information here and will be glad if anyone can substantiate which is the truth.

You are always welcome to point out things that are not right. At this point I am still not clear who this Fahim/Faheem Hameed is from though there are indications that he is from Malaysia.

I take all postings, even those in the main media, at face value till proven otherwise.

*Your* hospitality? Fuck, nice joke. The point is that there have been a slew of xenophobic postings. Hospitality? Fuck off, lah!

Being "called" something doesn't mean it is true. Also just because a person is a so-called "PR" which is a bullshit label anyway, (since "countries" are illusions being defined and de-marcated by invisible lines on a map -- a mere representation of the real land mass of the earth) doesn't mean he is not entitle to express hi opinion, which is his right as a human being.

I most certainly hope there are "Singaporeans" (another bullshit label) who get angry, as the mere thought of that is fucking hilarious to me. Human stupidity is always hilarious, especially the idiocy of taking some posting on the internet so seriously.

I'm sure there are many more epithets which are waiting to be expressed about so-called "Singkies" by so-called "foreigners" -- as if to claim that these two labels are actually separate species in the biological sense.

Get mad folks, and I hope foreigners fuck your mothers, your sisters and your daughters! :-)

Chua Chin Leng aka redbean said...

No need to be angry Matilah. You may think that all the names like country and citizenship are false, man made and meaningless. Until these are erased, they carry weight and legal rights and wrongs.

They are real my fren. Fret not, they affect you in everyway as long as you live in a cuntry, whatever its name is called.

No running away, mate.

Ⓜatilah $ingapura⚠️ said...

Firstly, just because I use 'fuck' and 'motherfucker' frequently doesn't mean I'm necessarily 'angry'. There are no such thing as 'bad words' only bad perception.

Sure, cuntry, society and all these illusory labels affect us on some level, as does the weather. And just like the adversities of the weather, individuals can protect themselves against adverse weather conditions, they also have the choice of protecting their minds from bullshit and not stay ignorant cunts which is the default or status quo.

Qte: He ended his “lecture” Head or tales all you want is PAP out..you are just are a bunch of Prejudiced scums who hate PAP
UnQte: This is what he said.. he was just referring to the group he was arguing with ..if you take everything for Face value That is not very Healthy, my friend..

Chua Chin Leng aka redbean said...

Hi Alex,

The kind of torrid news coming out from the PAP Facebook and the kind of remarks from their foreign talent turned citizens would cost the PAP votes for sure.

Ⓜatilah $ingapura⚠️ said...

Looking at it another way:

Instead of reacting emotionally to what this "foreigner" says, get curious -- or suspicious.

Whenever humans act, there is an underlying motivation, or many in (sort-of) complex matrices of motivation. Emotions as we know can be complex, and they are always in flux anyway.

To get curious instead of angry ask: "What might be this fuckers motivation for saying such (what appears to be) a mindless outburst more suited to a grandama-kaypoh-kia or a silly child. This is not "rational adult" behaviour.

My suspicions is that this character is attempting to "angkat" the PAP and throw the dissenting S'poreans under the bus to achieve his ruse.

You must admit, if my suspicions are right, this vulgar outburst is right up there with the best of "manipulation" techniques.
