More BS in Marina Bay

MBS will be the number one tenant at Marina Bay. It will compete with RWS headon for the gamblers comes April 27. The Marina Bay is going to be an exciting locale. And one can expect more BS to move in and stake a claim to this prime land. DBS is likely to be there, maybe OBS and KBS too. CBS another potential. Then there are the IBS, RBS, SBS, and the UBS. Not forgetting that NBS will also be there. Now, what is NBS, No Bull Shit? Isn't it interesting that gamblers are now hot personalities and being courted everywhere, and some being flown in and driven by Rolls Royces to the resorts! Soon we will be reading more great stories about the exploits of gamblers and how much they made every minute they spent in the VIP rooms. And the greatest gambler of the island will soon come out from this resort in Changi to join the fray. Many Singapore students will write composition of what they want to be when they grow up, 'I want to be a gambler". Now the cool thing is not to be in the company of royalties and politicians but be seen with top notch gamblers.

Come to think of it, even before RWS and MBS, we are already gambling with SGX, HDB, COE and and NBS! So what's a few more gambling dens?

But seriously, we may have another "first" in our desire to be number one this and number one that.

We will be the world's most boring gaming capital. No whores ? (really?), no conmen, no addicted gamblers but plenty of third world foreign workers to keep you company. After all, they built it so they have a right to savour it. Fair is fair. Maybe that's why the powers that be allowed for this gaping loophole!

In any event, I've not been to RWS and probably never will. Having to push myself into a train crowded with our foreign talent is enough to send me running for cover, let alone having to have them breathing down my neck when I am rolling the dice, probably emptying my pockets. As for the MBS, I am happily and patiently waiting for the queue of PRC opportunistic beauties at the immigration clearing booths to pass through after questioning their intentions to come here before making a beeline to MBS not to gamble but to ogle. It's free. RWS for foreign workers. MBS for local lechers as the loopholes would have been plugged by April!

Way to go Singapore!

They may want to rename the two as the new age churches of Singapore!

Chief pastor position vacant. Want to apply?

I like it. All foreign workers should congregate at the resorts/casinos leaving Little India, Lucky Plaza, Golden Mile etc less congested.

I like it!

actually the FWs should be encouraged to pool their resources together and nominate each other in turn to gamble.

it will be more meaningful for hundreds/thousands of them to turn up and support one bloke punting on their behalf....will add a lot of buzz man !

the idea should also apply to Sporeans who have collected their CPF.

I also heard on the grapevine that the backlanes of Geylang are deserted now. All the foreign workers are in RWS. Also, simple office type garb are selling like hotcakes on the streets of Geylang because they want to feel more respectable when they visit a world class IR. Hehe, the RWS is the best thing to happen to Singapore recently. Now when they get their pay, they can gamble it away and Genting will make more money to pay me more dividends as a shareholder. Hehe, see I don't have to gamble to make more money!

Greed Is Good. More greed to the foreign worker. Why slog your guts out in the hot sun when you can make enough to be a big shot land owner in some little corner of the Indian subcontinent.

They don't call 'red dot' paradise for nothing. Seems there are two very good ways to make money here without having to work - flipping properties and gambling, whether on the stock market, casino or all kinds of betting.

Forget about being productive, work smart, be innovative. Who cares?

Who do you think are the people indulging in flipping properties?

Redbean, you will be surprised that there are some HDB dwellers banding together and speculating in private properties.

It is the new reality.

These are small timers. They do not know that what they made someone has to pay for their gains.

I marvel at the creative ways our leadership is able to cook up for economic progresses that lower the propriety of human.

Don't blame them. They have raised our standard of living so high that it is now very difficult to go a bit higher. No joke.
