'they assumed everything is ok'

RMIT said it complained about Brookes Business School in 2007 to the MOE. MOE issued a warning letter and subsequently did not hear from RMIT. So 'they assumed everything is ok.' But everything is far from ok and many students were cheated in the last two years. And the matter was raised in parliament. 'Halimah wondered if more could have been done to "save a lot of people from heartache".' Hello, hello, anyone in? On vacation?

It is obvious to me that the guy running CASE does not take his job very seriously.

But having the opportunity to take a look at the list of appointments that he is currently holding,I don't really blame him.

I blame the fact that 99.99% of our important appointments must be given to about 2-300 elites, majority of them with a very specific link.

Who is responsible actually?

Never mind, they will always try to push the problem around until it disappears or swept under the carpet or as usual, blame it on the public. That is the way they always solve the problem. Very efficient and cost effective.

Many years back, someone complained to the authority on behalf of a foreigner student who got cheated by a private school. He/She(helper) was told that he/she got no Right to complained as the helper him/herself was not the (foreigner)student.

The Helper wrote to the Straits Times about the Incident where i got to know the case. I wrote to the ST Forum, but the Letter was not published.

What i am saying here is that private schools in Singapore were found to be less than desired many years back and from then on there were numerous complaints of breaches and other irregularities. However, it seemed that the relevant authority had failed to rectify the situation.

Repeated incidents of our private schools will result in loss of confidence and fake degree case should be made punishable under the Law.
