gst, more than what was told

Previously we heard that the 2% increase is to help the poorer Singaporeans and to make them better off, and also to close the income gap. Now it seems that the tax raised will go to many other things like paying medical bills, building facilities for the oldies, for investing for the future, and also some to be set aside in case of in case and in case… something happens. This last part is very familiar. Now where has this last part gained notoriety recently, savings and savings and savings without knowing what it is for and without knowing how much savings is enough? Was it some charity money being shiok shiok set aside and forgetting that the money was supposed to help the people’s immediate problems?

Redbean,
the foxtail has finally unveiled. We lose so much money due to inaccountability and intransparency, and I believe also due to Leeruption. The $100 billions reserve I believe is just bogus. 2% hike to help the poor ??? I believe it is to help the ministers and MP themselves more.

hi anonymous,

let's not criticise honourable men. our leaders are all carefully screened for honesty and integrity and are the best that we have.

if we can't trust them then we are doomed. have faith my friend. all will end well.

Of course you must trust the ministers in the MIW govt. They do not need to be dishonest to get what they want. They are given so much it would be stupid for them to ever need to steal. Legalised stealing is certainly better than becoming a thief. Right redbean??

no, no, no...we have the best men and most incorruptible men in charge. we are saved. we are different from the rest of the world. we are unique.

Redbean,
agree, We have most honest and integrity gahmen in the world. We should thank them because they will fix the opp party and buy support vote. They lost our money and then keep quiet and pay themselves large salary. Indeed, this show how best is our gov. We should be thankful to God for such men of integrity. Amen

I'm so proud to be Singaporean, but I even prouder to be Minister and MP. Proud to blunder public money and declare it theirs. Wow, they are damn smart and I want to learn from them so to blunder all the chicken's money.

Lets face it, Redbean, you are no faceless like us, so you have to be careful what you write. However, the real meaning of what you write is understood. Sarcasm on your blog is quite obvious, I am sure the MIW know this too.

my sarcasm is not just for sarcasm's sake.

it is meant to tell people that rubbish are rubbish and hopefully there is some improvements along the way. but people can choose to disregard what i said. no big deal.

Redbean,
don't worry. Everyone know what going on in Singapore. Use to have friend from many professionals, and they all tell me the same thing. Wayangness and incompetence is ruling the country.

tou singaporans are being screwed left, right and centre. on one hand yo have the miw telling you to tighten your belt, work harder, work longer and on the other hand your miw govt is letting into yor country many fts to break your rice bowls. if i were you i ould get out of the country asap. even crossing the causeway would be better than where you are now. i really pity you poor singaporeans. your miw govt is paying themselves handsomely while they tell you to eat sh#t and you are just obeying without asking why.

what to do, singaporeans are all useless and need to be saved by foreign talents. so they deserve to be paid lowly. and they better be grateful to the foreigners.

if all the foreigners leave singapore we will end up like third world countries and can't pay the millions to the ministers.
